Follow the story of a 22-year old guy who slowly (but in bursts) shrinks down to 1/2000th of his original height, like so many others. He's always known that he would likely eventually shrink, but that doesn't mean he's truly prepared for it. Luckily, he has some allies he can count on in the form of his older sister, his best friend, and mutual friends that mean well.... but don't always act the same to a shrinkee as they would a regular person.

Inspired by essentially every virus-related shrinking story I've ever read, with a few of them standing out. If you recognise elements from anyone's work: I'm sorry.
