Superb short story! Just enough detail to get a feel for the characters and their past relationship and then it's dwindling time.
Half-expected the story to have shrink to near-nothingness while wedged under her toe, before revealing that he had dreamed that outcome and in fact had reached a minimum size.

Really fun and concise setup of the main characters and their desires. Great dialogue and internal thoughts too, especially for the Mom. Personally more of a fan of footplay, but keen to see where his butt fixation and her reluctance leads (so long as it doesn't verge on scat etc).
Alistair is a lazy, shy, artistically driven student hoping to coast by in his final year of school. That is until star athlete and tomboy, Maxine, sets her eyes on him.
It won't take long before he realises that there's something particularly special about her.
Excellent first three chapters! Her playfulness is engaging yet a bit unnerving. Curious to see what made him so alluring to her, since it doesn't seem that he had a pre-existing giantess or foot fetish for her to have picked up on.
Him re-growing to less than full height is a very fun hook, as was her aloof response. Perhaps her power cannot manage to return more than 95~% of a shrinkee's height? The quip "I like your height" could be a simple compliment, but it also could be a half-truth, i.e. I want your height.

That part is more up to the reader's interpretation. Is he actually shorter or is he just getting confused after being regrown, who knows, well aside from Maxine.

Yeah giantesses in several of my stories have threatened permanent size loss to their "victims" and I love the tease, even if the giantess is just messing with them.
A collection of various greentext stories I did on 4chan's gentle giantess thread on /d/. The most prominent one here is the "shrinking condition neighbor" which involves a woman who produced a chemical which caused people to shrink on contact with her body fluids.
Despite the formatting, I loved the neighbor story. Taunting & shrinking is a perfect combo!
Yeah greentext stories are almost more of an outline for a story, I did these a lot before I transferred over to doing full length ones. I still think about turning some of these into full stories but I've got a lot of ongoings already.

That’s exactly the dynamic I’m going for: think of it as a combination of “The Incredible Shrinking Man” with a few added twists. This scene (and the overall story) was inspired by chapter 3 of “Excerpts form John’s Life” by Crocodile; I’ve wanted to explore and expand on the trope of the domineering mother-in-law for a while now. As Dan gets smaller, her attitude towards him becomes more and more dismissive, seeing him as nothing more than a burden to her daughter…and a plaything for herself.

Personally, unaware (in large doses) and crushing are less engaging than the intentional verbal humiliation and non-painful footdom from Chap 1.
