A young man returns home from a ten year absence at an advanced research facility. Having been sent away due to a freak accident that changed his size drastically, Jake is eager to see his family again, seemingly cured. But good things don't last, and Jake soon finds himself viewing the women in his life from the floor again, only this time, he'll be put to the test, living his life under their feet and doing all he can to retain some semblance of his humanity whilst seeing the world through a bug's eyes.

C'est l'histoire du plus invraisemblable, inconvenable duo et leur lutte pour trouver une place dans cet étrange nouveau monde. L'une est une belle jeune femme, aristocratique et gâtée, seulement intéressée en elle-même. L'autre est un homme excentrique, scientifique et explorateur, animé d'une curiosité insatiable envers la nature et la découverte. Elle est une géante, arrivée ici à cause d'un accident cosmique, et veut partir. Il est un humain qui est venu ici de son plein gré et qui a choisi de rester. Ensemble, ils réussissent à survivre face aux périples de ce monde mystérieux et hostile et parviennent même à se faire quelques amis dans leur aventure.

Lorsque les choses semblent s'arranger, cependant, ils découvrent vite qu'une menace bien plus grande se tapit au fin fond de l'espace, bien plus dangereuse que tout ce qu'ils ont pu affronter auparavant, prête à bondir sur sa proie. Seuls eux ont le pouvoir de l'arrêter, mais choisiront-ils de risquer leur vie pour sauver un monde 
qui n'a jamais était le leur, un monde auquel ils n'appartiennent pas ?
