Author's note: Not sure whether I'm going to continue contributing stories. Twenty years ago, it wasn't uncommon for my GTS stories to be read hundreds of thousands or even millions of times and generate hundreds of comments and discussions. I've watched that dwindle to a few thousand views and two or three comments. If no one is actually reading what I write any more, there doesn't seem to be any point in throwing away time and effort on work which will vanish largely unseen.
