A scientist uses stolen shrinking technology to sneak into homes at doll-size, then rob them at normal height. He targets his own coworker, a shy and petite woman with rich parents, but when it turns out she never left for a planned vacation, he and his partner get caught in the act, and discover a different side to her personality. Chloe is coming home after years away and finds that little ever changes in her small hometown. But looking deeper she'll see that perhaps things really aren't the same, or perhaps they never really were what she thought.
