Like the other two reviewers, I really did enjoy the story, the dialogue and gradual lead to the finale.  My next query, though, is how can Brandan still be wearing a shirt? After all, she injected his body and only his body would have shrunk.  Okay, so it's poetic licence and all that - so best overlooked. I still prefer fully-grown characters - men, that is - to be eaten.

 Anticipation is the goading factor for most stories. The gradual lead-up to the grand finale; however, this was difficult to read because of the lack of paragraphs, and then the let-down as each victim is simply swallowed with just a brief mention of being "marinated" in the most delicious of sauce. As usual with most yarns on this site, the victims, willing or otherwise, are so small. Oh well.

Please take no notice of "timescriber's" remark about 'insertions. It's one of the best scenarios in such stories, and you have done that.

I sincerely hope you will be writing a further chapter AND include the daughter!

 Bloody marvellous!  Loved every word. I could never compete with you, Amanda.  I was thrilled to bits to see that the main "course" was not shrunk to a miniscule size, so that the elders can have their games with him.

 Well done, D.  I liked the short yarn so well that I've saved it and have made a number of changes. e.g. The victims actually see their executioner; they are all naked; and the girl is only wearing the tutu and shoes.  One of the victims actually begs for mercy, but gets short shrift. O, and one more thing: while she's standing on the conveyor-belt, those close to her are given the ambiguous pleasure of looking up her tutu.

  So, D, many thanks for the pleasure.  I did not save the other short yarn because there was not enough "pleasure."
