Who would set up a YouTube channel for such shenanigans! :)

Rather than race for the phone, Peter should be focusing on how to talk Mandy into a less abusive 'game'. The girl seems willing to listen to suggestions. Peter's goal at this point should be survival, not escape. The latter will happen naturally once enough time passes (assuming he's still alive).

Author's Response:

What you're suggesting is definitely what Peter's sister would be screaming at him to do if she could. The real question is whether Peter can resist his inclination to take matters into his own hands.

I was curious how you'd handle the authorities, considering Mandy would be the prime suspect. Now I know! Still, hopefully they'll find some evidence at her house to implicate her.

Author's Response:

It does seem plausible that Mandy might have slipped up in some way. We'll see soon.

I like the good cop/bad cop dynamic in the story. I also enjoy the rejuvenation mechanic and can see potential for future chapters. Then again, I know you're working on a story on DA at the moment, and want you to keep your efforts focused there.

Author's Response:

Thanks, man. This is a story I still come back to now and again as something I'd like to finish up since I really enjoyed the mechanics of it. I think if I ever get Her World wrapped up, this is one I'd like to revisit either in writing or doing it in Daz.

Summary:

A young man inexplicably wakes up one day to an alternate world ruled by massive, powerful women. Everyday life becomes a struggle as he learns to cope with his lowly position in this new matriarchal society. Eventually, he develops a romantic relationship with his gorgeous high school teacher.

Though a world where giantesses dominate is not unique (in and of itself), you've made it unique. You've detailed a set of rules, customs, and cultural behaviors that add a lot of flavor. The POV is likable. The female characters humiliate, but they aren't too cruel. I like that. There are a couple of things I don't understand: How is Bianchi his teacher in the new world? If he isn't supposed to be able to read, how does she teach him with the girls in the class? Like if he never misbehaved by going to the library, would he have sat at a desk instead of her lap? Or would she have given him private lessons after class? I'm just a bit confused there since it seems that the world is one where males aren't given the same learning priveledges.

Another question I had was about the growth formula. Five feet seems like a lot to grow for a single packet. Is it random? If not, how is the tallest person only 50 feet tall? Surely a wealthy person could buy a lot more than a teacher like Bianchi and could grow to 100+ feet by consuming a lot of the stuff. Perhaps it interacts with genetics in a way and hits a plateau at some point?

I'm probably asking too many questions but they crossed my mind. :) Most importantly, keep writing if you have time. It's a really good story.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the compliments, and doubly thank you for the questions. They help me consider holes in the plot, and force me to dot my i's and cross my t's as I edit. To answer your questions, Dean is only in school to be socialized to be around women. For men, it's behavior and etiquette training. He's at school to be a plaything. I've hinted at it, but it's something I wanted the reader to come to understand as the story progesses. Good question!

The growth thing is already addressed in future chapters, so I won't answer that just yet. You'll just have to read and find out!

Rune ate Champion. Lifeform wants to eat Rune and Sentinel. Then Void eats them all! Reminds me of Tez!

I will also say that the four horsemen motif is interesting. I wonder what the personification of War would look like. :)

Amazing how the ‘worlds best-selling and most widely distributed book’ [1] has such an impact.

And then you even toss Darkseid in there, one of my favorites! Gotta love those Omega Beams.

Author's Response: Well, believe it or not, I never intended it to be more than a two hundred words-or-less one-shot over @ Giantess City! Which is where I eventually posted it, as such. But, ever since reading the original MARVEL ZOMBIES VS. ARMY OF DARKNESS mini-series, formulating a backstory for the zombified Sentinel has been a minor obsession of mine. And, the WHAT IF...? stories provided some of the basis for that formulation. For example: on Earth-80219, Spidey _did_ catch the TV studio burglar...on the grounds that being a public-spirited hero would help his showbiz career! And, unfortunately for John Jameson, it did. With Spidey concentrating on being a media icon, John Jameson died when his malfunctioning space capsule crashed. Which means he never became the Stargod/Man-Wolf; which means Dredmund Druid had to find some other way to become Starwolf; which means he probably used a mind-controlled Jack "WEREWOLF BY NIGHT" Russell to steal Karla Sofen's "moonstone." Etc. etc. etc.

Penny admires Jack's bravery. She's said so on multiple occassions. 'Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.' Jack demonstrates this resistance by returning to school, where everyone dwarfs him and at least one wants to harm him.

I suppose he can't just go sit at Cait's table during lunch, but he's lurking around school like a secret agent, constantly on edge, unable to relax. He's got to do *something*, otherwise the tension itself will hurt him.

Of course, I say those things as a reader cheering for Jack. From a more objective viewpoint, the tension you instill keeps the reader's attention and makes us crave the next chapter. So it's a good technique, so long as there is an occassional release to the intense pressure-cooker like situations.

I'm just waiting for Cait to finally appear. I'm *wanting* her to appear at this point. It's like when the guy goes into the dark basement at night to check on creepy sounds. At some point you just want freddy krueger to *appear*, even if the protag takes a few slashes to the face. :)

Reviewer: SpookyTaco Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: May 08 2017 Title: Chapter 30: Agitation

He's got a bad case of PTSD. If he's not going to go to the authorities or faculty, he should just man up and go sit with Cait at lunch. I'm sure that would surprise her. Better to face her head on in a public location than in a dark alley. Plus it would show he's mastering his fear, something which often makes bullies back off. Cait derserves to be locked up in juvey, but she wouldn't go so far as to actually kill him. I.e., she's not insane and pure evil, just spoiled and cruel, so he should face her.

Author's Response:

I like the thinking behind this, but I can categorically tell you that, in a school where Betas are bullied on a semi-regular basis, confronting Caitlin will basically just result in her casually picking him up and carrying him somewhere private as he squeaks away - no-one will bat an eyelid. The odds of him somehow landing a PR victory against the #1 predator within school are roughly zero; she's greatly feared, popular, and holds great sway over most people, even teachers. Even if she's spotted by a teacher who acts on it, as long as she puts him down, no-one's really going to give a shit, as I say, the Betas get hung onto coathooks and bullied on occasion and it's just considered a thing (think of it like some of the horrid racist/sexist attitudes that used to/still pervade society, but in this NWO add sizeist).

The teachers would perhaps show a modicum of care for Jack, but they're not really bothered, they don't think Betas should even be at the school. I guess you could have him confide in the school's support network and start to build a case from there, but as a story that's just gonna end up tedious, I really need to keep the action away from a criminal investigation, so I'm trying to provide semi-plausible doubt of official channels to keep the narrative focused. It's basically playing out like a kids movie - don't trust the adults, beat the bullies yourself!

As for Caitlin, it remains to be seen how complex or evil she truly is.

Probably my favorite chapter. I like how she didn't just pick him up, but she paid careful attention to his feelings. She seems to be growing more as the story continues, like how she's finding out more about herself (she likes being helpful to him).

I suspect Cait is going to somehow ruin everything (or try). We shall see.

Author's Response:

I'm pleased that you see growth in Penny's character. It wasn't necessarily my intention to have her slowly reveal herself, but in the course of telling the tale her natural reservation has given way to a slightly more outgoing, proactive attitude which reflects her increased comfortableness with Jack, and her own moral compass reacting so potently to what has been going on. In some ways, she's very much a mirror image of him, quiet, clever, insular, except with her size, she's realising that she actually might have the power to do something to help him, and come into her own.

Caitlin could be around every corner, still. We shall see...

Excellent mini giantess story! Bummer that Penny doesn't like him in the same way he likes her. Hopefully she comes around. And Caitlin...she needs serious therapy. The government really ought to have stronger laws/enforcement for Beta protection.

Author's Response:

Why thank you! You're one of my favourite writers. Your first two stories especially: Fyth Farmhand and Luna's Ascension, are both fantastic, so this feedback is extra special.

You're absolutely correct, the government should have better laws for Beta protection full stop, but this story references both historical and contemporary injustices that people face in our own world. It's not meant to be a political commentary or anything, just a kind of mirror held up to show a macrophile's angle on things, using a strong world-building plot device to allow for the kind of humiliation and dominance themes that I want to explore.

and which subsequently urinated that sucked blood into a pool of similarly mutated leeches
I cracked up when I read this. Is that really the process they use to create the growth formula?

Author's Response: Yep! Sad, but true. Before it got (accidentally?) deleted, there was a chapter of MORE THAN ONE CAN CHEW...wherein Kraus gave a very detailed explanation of how the meteoric mushroom spores worked. Namely; that they were _not_ urologically soluble! But, rather than drink pee, directly, the Hitler Youth volunteers being experimented on would be _injected_ with centrifugally-filtered plasma extracted from the leeches! And, for that bit of inspiration, I have to give credit where credit is due. To the horror films DRACULA 2000 (starring Christopher Plummer) and NIGHTWING (starring David Warner).
