Jack, a 'regular'-sized 17-year-old in a world now populated predominantly by humans twice that height, struggles to cope with life in a school and society built for people far larger than he will ever be.

Until recently, a small town had seen some of the newer advances in the world pass it by.  Now with a direct route to the large land ripe for development, there are some big-time neighbors moving in.

The Alpha Event was a worldwide phenomenon that changed life on Earth. 10 years ago, approximately half of the entire human female population grew to more than double their size. The incident happened instantaneously and the women who grew were seemingly at random. No one has an idea on how and why the AE happened and since then, the larger women, now known as Alphas, have taken hierarchy of the globe.

Bill decides to roleplay as an Alpha man to win the heart of another Alpha woman called Ava. They decide to meet in real life but unbeknownst to him, Ava despises Betas and takes great pleasure in dominating them.
