The story is far from the darkest I've seen, TomSpeedy. Other viewers may either have been busy, or me personally, have been dedicated to our own stories. I've been following this story but haven't gotten around to reviewing each chapter just yet.

I'm with versusterminus7. I've seen so many versions of this, so many different trials, not to mention I saw the original draft months ago it feels. Those were excellent as usual from you, don't get me wrong, but this seemed... more refined? Kind of like the difference in sweetness between sugarcane and the refined powder. Equally sweet, but one is more pleasing to the palette.

It’s so nice to see an update to this story. I do love how well Jessica takes the mishap, and how absolutely, positively angry it makes Caitlin that Jack was trying to, or, was going to try and help Jessica out.

I imagine that the cameramen lucky enough to catch a pic at the perfect time are going to think very carefully about what they do with their prize. I for one would keep it safe and private. A little memento from a meeting with such a amazing giantess.

Eva has that motherly kind of affection for Jessica. It’s subtle, yes, but it’s there. She clearly sees Jessica as more than just something she can profit off of, although the revenue is undoubtedly a welcome side benefit of such a relationship. And if Jessica is getting some much needed work experience in then all the better!

Fantastic chapter as always, look forward to seeing what you intend next!

Gywne sounds a lot like Gywn from DS1. That boss fight was hard, but I think Litea has it worse at the moment.



Author's Response: Hey man! Sorry for the late response. For holidays I would suggest a warm alcoholic drink (mulled wine/glögg, both super easy to make), and something sweet. There's this wonderful and horribly unhealthy thing called chockladrulltorta (chocolate roll cake) that I have a recipe of, email me and I'd be more than happy to give it to you! Thanks for reading! And while yes, Gwyne is like old Lord Gwyn, she might be more akin to his daughter, gwynevere :) although, both Gwyne and Gwyn could be overcome by using calculated, repetitive actions (roll, dodge, hit, roll, dodge, hit, FUCK ESTUS ESTUS *You Died* vs rest, pull, scooch, rest, pull, scooch) That game held no more hardship after Ornstein and Smough. I felt like a goddamn Greek hero after that fight.

Proceeds to kidnap a doctor from his family and belligerently demand his service... presumably with out the monetary compensation required to not only pay for the business he is losing by not being where he is supposed to be, the cost of repairing two crippled legs, and the trauma his children most likely will never recover from. 

Loved the chapter.

How tall is Idiot? Is he a huge draft horse that even Tor finds large? Or a pony since giant horses are already giant enough?

Oh! And I forgot.

"My people are peaceful." An Elder attempts to devour an entire camp of humans, tries to run, and fails miserably. And despite what would have been mass murder, aforementioned Elder is allowed to go loose.

Well this time is wasn't Tor. But I am hoping that every single one of my reviews begins the same way. 

Eric: "My dad only cares about himself! He wanted to arrange a marriage for me!"

Doctor: "I wanna arrange a marriage between you and this girl."

Eric: "I don't care about her personality, I'll IMMEDIATELY state how hot she is like a lecher!"

Doctor: "So why do you like arranged marriages?"

Eric: "Because I'd have no independence!"

Doctor: "... Arent you a slave?"

Eric: "I'm a pet! I have no independence, rights, or ability to stop my master from wanton acts of murder and violence."

Doctor: "..."

"My people are peaceful." Proceeds to reveal that the greatest possible threat to a couple of humans is not starvation, plague, or bandits, but instead Elders, who are "used" to eating humans, and refuses the prospect of defending them. Not only are Elders not peaceful, they are active, willing threats to human life.

I like how Eric's only issue with the arranged marriage is that he'd have no choice in the matter, but he himself is only concerned with the physical appearance of women, as well as is host to a personality so vile, a peasant whom he has helped rejects him.

Eric confuses me. He seems to help people or demand Tor help people but seems indifferent to their plight whilst he does so. He didn't do much for the Doctor or assistant she literally tortured to death for verbally offending her, he didn't do much beyond suggest Tor do something once when the prospect of the family dying is very real... i feel like thats intentional. It illustrates how Eric as a prince is blind to the importance of people's lives.



Author's Response: In Eric's defense, he was very "sheltered" and influenced by his father. That will come up in the next chapter or two. He tries, but just can't quite connect with problems that are not his own. Thank you so much for your review and continued support! It means a lot. :)

"My people are peaceful." Proceeds to brutally execute several people, who in their defense had no choice in the matter as they would have been killed either way by Fletcher. Not that Tor cared to actually ask before committing another mass murder. 

People are okay with becoming pets? Stockholm syndrome is confusing. 

I wonder why eating peope seems to be Elders preferred method of execution. I mean, humans developed many methods of execution designed to bring about death quickly and painlessly. The guillotine, the shortened hangmans noose, the curved headman's ax. Mostly because it isn't in human nature to want to torture someone to death. If someone has to die, let it be quick. Elders seem to have a penchant for both mass slaughter and mass pain. A rather brutal race. 

But I cannot wait to see how Tor deals with her brothers.

Well, eating people is Tor's preferred method of execution. Not necessarily all Elders. And if you do some research on being put to death by boats, Fletcher makes Tor look saintly. Frankly, he makes her look like a saint period. His character will be explored in upcoming chapters. He's not a nice guy. At all.
