Summary:

A young girl comes into posession of a jewelry case, entirely unremarkable sparing it's fascinating contents.

Been writing this one up for a while, so it will be the first story I will post in chapter format, seeing as it is yet to be finished. Also the first micro (as opposed to macro) story I've written, so do point out any incongruities or improvements I could make.

Love the story. You managed to create such interesting and lively characters. Would be nice to see them actually grow to giga size instead of just dreaming about it. I wonder how the world responds, if at all, now that they have caused some destruction at mega size.

An amazing story. Nice to see more quality giantess stories at the Giga and Tera size. The introduction did not feel too long at all, it felt just the right length. I liked how after the girl grows, she and the tiny people automatically regard her as a goddess. That showed just how impactful her transformation was.

Will be fun to see where the story goes from here. You seem to have a lot planned - at least the tags seem to promise that much. I wonder how she will end up growing even further (does she remember the words?) and just how large she will ultimately become. It will also be interesting to see what exactly motivates her. At first a motivating factor seems to be getting revenge. It is interesting to see how that changes. It does not sound like she will just obliterate everything in moments. The story seems to hint this with the following: "Their bodies were unidentifiable.". So at one point the little people will probably have time to go and measure the damage she has caused.

Overall,the story was a great read thusfar and I am interested to see where you take it.

I love your playful writing style. I especially like how each chapter (or group of chaptersr) is so different from one another. It's like reading a book of fairy tales. I don't think I've ever read anything like it. But the recent chapters have shifted away from the giga sized Mary to focusing on the small people she has unexpectedly brought with her from her trips. That's fine, playing writing about different sizes is great since it offers variety, and the writing is still great, but it almost feels like there's two completely different stories barely glued together. Your initial description of the story said something about you trying out a giga-sized story for the first time. Now it's changed. So you seem to be aware of the shift in the story as well.

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, mainly these stories were supposed to be descriptions of the adventures of a giantess I'm consulting with. I've been trying to understand her motivation, learn what she wants. But in the course of this, as you noticed, there is a story unfolding with the Tinies. It entertains me to pursue that (as I can only write about a Giga giantess destroying city after city for so long), but I can understand how people who came for the giantess would feel misled. It may be that I will never truly understand the Giga story and I'm reaching too far.

I'm just curious, why call this an adaptation over a translation? What's the difference to you?

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. For a translation to be a proper translation, it has to be entirely equivalent to the original text so that if one were to translate it back into the original language, the original author would be able to identify it almost entirely as their own words. A lot of literary translations are closer to adaptions. A classic example if you grew up in the 90s and had a Super Nintendo would be the translations for Final Fantasy IV (Final Fantasy II), Seiken Densetsu II (Secret of Mana), and Final Fantasy VI (Final Fantasy III). Due to space limitations, it was impossible for the translator to properly translate the dialogue and plot for the first two games in their entirety, and because of this, only 1/3~1/2 of the original story made it into the English release. Because of this, the translator decided to rewrite the dialogue for FF3, so there is well-written banter that fits within the space limitations rather than a forcibly whittled down version like the prior 2 works. Unlike some of the other stories I did which could be translated back into their original language and identified as the author's own words, this one has some changed elements in it that make it more like the original author had a proof-editor go over it and offer some changes and fix certain inconsistencies. So while it has the base of a faithful translation, it has enough transformative elements that I want to be forthright about it.
