Hi again. It’s funny, I started reading this chapter, and I began to feel some annoyance at the tiny things that need to be fixed, truly minor details here and there. Then I opened my eyes in disbelief at the fact that he simply showed up at the doctor’s office, at that size! Please understand that has NOTHING to do with your skill as a writer, or even as a storyteller. That is simply my maternal instinct kicking in, when I read that a tiny man has ventured out into the world, unprotected, danger lurking everywhere…

Then I forgot all about being vexed when I got to the sexy parts. Super sexy parts! I loved the way she teased him, examined him (could have read about that on and on) and had her way with him. But then I didn’t like that he simply left again, walked out that door to face the world a shrunken man, utterly defenseless.

I’m reading on!

Author's Response:

Yes, I often do find I leave in the odd typo or two, among other things.

I would say that if he's signed up to the doctors already, then with this being the UK and the NHS, he should be fine. Maybe that's a cultural difference there.

I had him walk on his own as a, slightly, silly suspension of disbelief to be honest. It's designed, slightly, to highlight the ludicrous nature of the subject matter, a nod to how daft shrinking is, and how charmed their world is. I wanted your maternal instinct to kick in. You're supossed to not want him to do that.

My main aim was to give them a world where he treats his 'affliction' (improvment) as the same as a common cold. The old-school stoic man. Let me know what you think when you're done.

Alright, comrade… I’ve been wanting to write a review about your story for over a year, but Things, Life, and Whatnot got in the way, and I never did. But I’m making the time now.

 1. Parvati both annoys and charms me. I want to hit her upside the head and tell her to stop whining, and be a woman. But I can’t put myself in her shoes. I’m 206.5’ tall, and I have no idea what it feels to be small. I’ve always felt gigantic, super, super tall, even though in reality I’m “only” 5’6”.

 2. The chapter could benefit from some light editing, but I’m not even going to bother looking and telling you what, since it doesn’t affect my enjoyment of the story.

 3. I’m confused as to the proper procedure reading doctor’s visits at this place. I’ve never seen a place where the patient just walks right in to see the doctor, without an introduction, filling out forms, etc. But maybe you wanted to skip that part. It messed with my suspension of disbelief a little bit. It could just be that it’s different there, than it is here. Yeah, let’s go with that.

 4. I like that they got it on right away. If I ever got myself a little guy that was shrinking, I’d be all over him like butter on toast. But I’m slightly weirded out that she then got off by herself without a single word to him of what she was doing, and equally puzzling was his silent acceptance of this. But maybe she’ll tell him later. Let me find out…

This was such a hilarious read. It grabs a hold of certain things I see in stories and it makes good-humored fun of them. I have great admiration for how you are able to write comedy with such ease. I don't know how to do funny. I have books on how to do it, but I still don't get it. I'll keep trying!

This is a wonderful series. I fully endorse it and hope there are more installments in the future.

Author's Response:

The more I read, the more patterns and repetitions will occur to me, and then I'll have more to write about. People have already suggested great tropes and stand-bys to work with.

Break my heart, why don’t you. This is an incredibly hot story’ or at least, it starts out that way. A man and a woman share an intensely erotic, loving experience. What can go wrong? Everything, apparently. But I’ll start with what I loved. (Spoilers.)

1. This is probably the “wordier” Aborigen you have described n times past. If that’s the case, I enjoy him as much as I enjoy the equally accessible Aborigen of now. You create a soft vortex here; an inexorable spell, and I have to read on, even when I begin to suspect something terrible is about to happen.

2. It could have gone wrong. To describe a woman’s monthly event, to include it so prominently in a story, could have been done in a way that forces the eye to turn to the side. You managed to do the contrary. I have to keep looking. I have to know what she’s going to do with that. Scandalously, it makes me wonder if I could do the same, fully knowing I can’t. I love it!

3. As I begin to see the path forming before me, I shake my head, and beg her to put him somewhere else. A prayer in my head whispers that maybe now that she’s done with the spell and has cleaned him off, further smears will not have the same effect. How wrong I am.

4. The “see her perky nipples, a quarter-mile above him”, threw me off a bit, but then I figured he was being hyperbolic. I can be very literal, so I immediately tore down the fourth wall, and started doing numbers and distances in my head, which didn’t add up. No matter. Moving on.

5. They have obviously done this before, and he had been able to regain his normal size every time. The question that remains is, how could one more reduction not be reverted? I’ll leave it to the author to never solve that puzzle, in favor of the heart-wrenching ended. I don’t approve, but I accept. I can see the appeal of a permanent joining with one’s giantess, to the detriment of life, continued. I simply see another path to achieving that.

But I loved it, as I love most of what you write. I’m adding it to my favorites.

Author's Response:

I wish I could shrink YOU down, and sound out these stories before they're complete, work them out with you, my little muse by the keyboard, and then what I would upload would be a well-thought-out work of art. And then everyone would be all, wow, this is incredible, how do you do it, and I'd just whistle innocently and, like, feed you some chopped carrot or whatever your favorite food is.

"Tormentor" is a good title for the first episode. One assumes it's the larger-sized individual doing the tormenting, but it's not. It's Biff's description. With very few words you manage to reawaken some uncomfortable, high-school-related feelings. I like that you don't really describe him much, and Biff doesn't think he's particularly striking, which is often the case with lovely-looking people, even those that are self-centered assholes.

I look forward to reading the next installment!

On 2. Dreamlike State:

This was a very nice read. I feel this is something I would have done with my closest friends in order to get back at some nasty school bully. We didn't really have one... our school was too small and though mixed, the boys were seriously outnumbered, so if we'd done as described in the chapter, it would have been out of lust, or a shared crush.

Myu favorite part was Biff's self-assurance when "realizing" this was a dream, and the girls' response now that they begin to sink into the awareness of what they have before him. On, I read!

On 3. A Crushing Argument

I’m not sure Biff should be described as a “man” when he’s not. He’s a boy. The girls are described as girls, and he’s a teen too, unless he was held back a few years.

I know about that impulsiveness–Trinidad's–all too well. Most of the time our closest friends just play along, but I’m glad Biff didn’t get crushed.

Author's Response:

Very good point about the words. These are old children, not adults yet. That was exciting for me to write about when I was a few years older than that, but it worries me now. Still, the show must go on, and as it does I have to pay attention to word choice and double standards.

On 4. Aegean Labors

You are keeping a great pace here. During the first three chapters the young ladies begin to get settled into possessing a tiny man. I had begun to wonder when they were going to come to terms with that ownership and truly commence to use him as I believe they should. Finally! And I don’t mean to say that it took you too long to write about it; quite the opposite, your progression has the perfect rhythm. I can relate to it with my own teenage memories, and how long it took my friends and me to plunge into some Dark Side. Well done!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you're liking it. I was horrified to go back and read the old installments and find the erratic inconsistencies throughout sloppy editing and revision. So I went back and cleaned those up, and that built the momentum for the fourth installment, which was very helpful actually. I think the path forward is clearer, while keeping in the spirit of the previous installments (which were written decades apart from the lsat one). And yeah, part of this is a fantasy of wondering what girl parties were like, wanting very badly to be privy to that inner sanctum. I can only conjecture and try to be respectful in the course of it.

I could simply go to your blog, lift my review of this story there, and paste it here. I’m not going to do that. I’m not even going to look at it, because I don’t need to. I’ve now re-read this (again), and love it just as much as I’ve loved it every time I read it. I’ve always wanted this. I’ve wanted to see this world shown to me by someone other than myself. A world where a tiny man and a woman are together, and have conversations, and display what they feel for each other in simple acts, like the act of feeding each other, the act of watching a screen together. It makes this world real. You make this world real.

Let’s go down the rabbit hole one more rung, shall we? Then, you make that conversation real. They are not talking about her giant lady parts, or his tiny man bits, and what they’re doing to each other. They are talking about normal things. That is… devastating to me. So delightful. It sends me right to that room, where I can see them (thus myself and my own little man) interacting in this way. By then I’m all ready for some sexiness, and it happens just in time, in just the right way. Lovely work, Aborigen.

Author's Response:

This is what I've wanted. I've wanted a peaceful night with my giantess, tiny in her world, where she lets me do things for her. I can't dip a strawberry in molten chocolate and hold it for her to nibble at, but I could drag a sheet of thin-sliced charcuterie to her. I wanted to experience her broad face right before me like a building, feel how charmed she is by my efforts, feel her pleasure at my presence. And I've wanted that sense of danger, watching her mouth open wide before me, that moment of doubt as to whether she'll let me carry out my tedious chore or maybe she'll think it's funnier to sweep me into her mouth. I've wanted to do everything relying on that trust while constantly being reminded I'm on thin ice at every second, to know her love for me as a partner could be overriden by her love of her own power.

I've wanted that unknowing and that danger.

But also for this, I just wanted to peek in at an average night. It's already established and taken for granted that he's minuscule, they're long past their amazement but still wrapped in gratitude and looking forward to exploring what else is possible. All the mild things that take on a new sheen, rethinking the mundane and making them engaging all over again. I wanted a fragment of that for this. I'm so glad it meant as much to you as it did to me.

I re-read this again a couple of days ago, when you unleashed Thanksgiving upon us. I love this world, I love this couple, I love Shaun most of all. He’s such a spirited, engaging little guy. I get such a kick out of how he sees things, how he maneuvers himself in that giant world that surrounds him, especially when he’s always been like that! Just typing that makes me feel so…

I love how worried he was about Janine, and how warm they are towards each other. In her place, I would not be able to help anything else. Once again, brilliantly written, a wonderful window to that universe I can’t get enough of.

Author's Response:

There's that trust thing, again. Janine trusts her family (perhaps naively) and so Shaun is willing to support her worldview. He would like a world where he can safely pick his way over flatware and climb up a breadbasket to make himself heard, without being seen as a selection. He doesn't necessarily want to look up into a thicket of old-man nasal hairs, but sure, he'd like to have conversations with other people about anything other than "wow, you sure are small". He'd like to hear the life stories of his girlfriend's grandparents; he'd like to hear how his future nieces and nephews are doing in school, what classes they like, what their music means to them. He'd like to engage without being dunked in the gravy or having someone accidentally tug his leg off or get snatched by someone's infant and popped into their mouth while all the giants laugh at his predicament.

Sometimes meeting another Tiny is like hanging out at the VFW: the conversations are limited in range, urgent, repetitive, predictable. There's no talking about TV shows or where they'd like to travel, it's always a breathless exchange of horror stories or advice or way, way too personal information. Shaun's all, "I am more than the fraction of your parts," and he seeks a normal life with his loving girlfriend.

I remember reading this for the first time, how heartbreaking it felt, how impossible it seemed for anyone with any sense to abandon their tiny man. Not when he's loyal, dedicated, honest, and loving as this little character seemed to be. There had to be more to the story, I thought back then. I couldn't stand not knowing what would happen next. This is one of my favorite series by you.

Author's Response:

It's a big, wide world with endless possibilities: if it can happen that tiny people can be fabricated, born, or inducted through portals from another world, there's the nonzero chance that a giantess could abandon her little pet. People are horrible.

I enjoyed this very short story, and very much hope you expand this world into a much larger body of works. You use words well, and easily conveyed his precarious state despite the mild-mannered way in which she rebuffed him, casually dismissive at first glance, but you know something darker might happen.

I really liked the way I could see her working at her computer while this little man falls into the throes of desperation.

Author's Response:

I've always believed in hurling a reader into the action, and let the exposition sort itself out.  But I gotta admit, I pushed that notion to the hilt with this story.  And yeah, while these two do already exist in other tales I'm hoping (hoping hoping hoping) none of that is needed for this story.

One of my favorite things to read is interaction and dialogue that establishes a meaningful relationship between man and machine. Assuming Mike is strictly a man, and Ship is a machine. I see no indication that this story is concerned with revealing anything about that, so I'll go with that assumption. Gripping, interesting chapter!

When I read "Rampage" I was expecting a more demonstrative execution of the definition rather than boxing the ears of a couple of buildings and starting a controlled? fire, but I'll take it. The action and reaction between the pursuer and the target more than filled the pages with heart-pounding action. That was really fun to read.

I'm going to make another assumption here and think that JATO means the same as what it means here and now on this Earth, given its function.

I can't wait to see where this goes!

This was quite the explanatory installment, and I got far more background about Mike and Molly. I love the way they interacted, Mike being nonchalantly tiny, and Molly being casually huge, which can sometimes be so much better than showing off or being intentionally giantess-ey.

The way she helped Mike was lovely, and juggling boulders? That was such fun to read!
