Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1: THE GENESIS TIME WALL
I'm flattered that my Mouse Man story inspired you to write your own. Reforming the character and sending him on adventures through time sounds like it could be fun.
I'm afraid I can't get behind your ideas at the end of the chapter though. You seem to have a misunderstanding of why evolution is taught in schools. The theory of evolution is based on scientific evidence and research. It's fueled by a desire to understand how the world works and how animal species change over time. It's not some sinister conspiracy to undermine Christianity or encourage atheism (and having a scientist character like Prof. Hyatt claim this seems very odd).
If evolution contradicts the Bible, that's not scientists' fault or their primary goal. They're simply theorizing based on what they've observed. Heck, I know people who are Christian and believe in evolution. They just aren't as literal in their interpretation of the Bible. I don't see why it has to be either/or. Couldn't God have been the one to put the laws of evolution in place?
If this story is going to be a "Christianity good, evolution bad" soapbox, I don't think I will be following it. Sorry.
Author's Response: That's OK. I expected to inevitably tread on a few views with it. But no, the Biblical history lesson (from my POV) ends by Chapter 3.
I just couldn't conscion writing the story without incorporating my Biblical viewpoint. It won't be the main focus of the story. I'm only posting one chapter a day, but I've written 8, and chapters 3-8 are just gts romance and vore and sci-fi.
I guess I should answer the questions though. Literal 6 day creation story is the only one that takes God at His word in Genesis. (Day = eons is compromise, creation+evolution is compromise. There are scientists in the Christian community who adopt the literal 6 day creation belief. I'm not aiming to use the story as a preaching tool, but had to go along with my Christian friends and my own beliefs in the way I wrote the early chapters). Here's an interesting site some scientists support.

Anyway, see what you think by chapter 4 if you're still reading.
