"Even the few people he had met that were into video games and table top gaming weren't looking for a new DM. The few friends he had made kept trying to get him to try out dumb systems like Vampire or Shadowrun. Drew just wasn't interested in that dumb shit. He wanted Paladins slaying Dragons, and Wizards exploding Orcs with fireballs.

Drew wanted what he was used to."

You know, it is not every writer that can convey the turmoil of a major life change, through exploding orcs, well done. look forward to digging into this story with a fork and a knife, because it seems prime so far.

My god man...

This was really a great read, even though Drew deserves what he got in the end.  (He did bring it on himself, afterall.)  You cannot help but feel sympathy for the poor guy, especially in the epilogue, where he lives out a fate worse then death.  Great tie in of McCreary, it induces a sense of jelousy in the reader that is quite pungent...

If any of you have not read the story, or finished I suggest looking away from this spoiler.

His death was quite potent, the whole story works so well to magnify that very instant when he realizes he is going to die, polishing the shoes he is crushed under too is quite a nice touch.  All in all, sometimes when I read your stories, I feel like an ant being fried under a magnyfying glass, you manipulate the emotions of your readers quite well.

Fucking McCreary indeed.

Summary:

Merely two inches tall, and suffering from Amnesia, the poor soul is soon to find himself back exactly where this all began as he searches for answers, and a way out of this new hell.

Yes, this is a really rich setup. Not being able to sleep because of women really sucks.  Dan seems very relatable and I cannot wait to see his ordeal unfold.

@VGIV -

contructive critiscm here is neccasary, and is a valuable tool to help writers advance in their craft.  Anger and pretensiousness should be left off to the side when offering any kind of creative advice or critique.  Yes I am reviewing your review, because it is completely out of control.  It is almost like you are throwing a tantrum, and while you might make valid points, the delivery is atrocious, and your point will be complete lost, undoubtely due to the resentmen this author might feel for you personally after reading it.

If you feel past reviews or advice to this author have not been heeded, then you need to take a step back and just go read something else, or review other authors.  Punching a fist through your wall is not going to make him a better writer, and you might hurt your hand.

In giving effective constructive critism, one must choose their language carefully.  The goal of leaving advice to another author should always be their improvement, first and foremost.  If that is not your intention, you should not be leaving advice.  Words like - awful, terrible.  and phrases like - Just stop. create a sense of negativity that will only cause your advice to fall on deaf ears.  We need better writers in this fantasy, and sometimes that calls for a scalpel instead of a hammer.
