A mysterious virus sweeps the planet, ravaging humanity and reducing the infected population down to just under an inch in height. Civilization shuts down. Members of the small portion of humanity remaining uninfected feud with one another over control of resources crucial to their survival.

Meanwhile, as the years since the initial outbreak pass, factions of the infected work industriously to develop the means to improve their chances of survival in their massive new world. 

NOTE: Just because a tag isn't present currently doesn't mean it won't be added to the story in the future. I like to avoid spoilers, and to be quite honest, at this point I'm not entirely sure of everything that will and will not eventually make it's way into this story.
