Summary:

This is the third and last part of the Side Effects trilogy.

Volume 3 takes over right after the end of Volume 2. 

After having been reduced at the end of Volume 1, Kelly, Lisa and Casey are giant again in Volume 2, this time in a big city. They are all 250' tall, but Kelly has known for some time what's the force behind their growth. Fearing that her plans of using her size to rule and have fun are threatened by her former friends, Kelly will make herself much bigger than them and lets them know that she will be the one in charge from now onwards. She is tired of Lisa's naiveté and Casey's mindless violence.

At the end of Volume 2, Kelly uses her newfound size to defeat an army attempt at her and destroy the research center that could threaten her power. Once she is done, she sets on a quest to take over the world. This is what she will try to do in Volume 3. 

Left behind, Casey will set herself on a mission to become as big as Kelly, to be the one on top again. In the meantime, Lisa will try her best to stop her former friends and protect her family.

Chapters like these are my guilty pleasure. I love stories that can mix up these chapters in with a decent story. Interesting to see Kevin is still alive. Did they finally find a solution to get the girls small? Are all the girls gonna go back to being small? (I would mind if one of them stayed big ;) )

 

I was hoping to be the 100th review, but 99th is cool too. As always, great job !

I'm glad that you enjoyed this chapter. I had guessed you would. I don't know if you were expecting Casey to get small once again (it was one of the surprises I had in stock).

Next chapter is going to answer some of your questions (not all of them, of course :P). There are still 4 chapters left, and by the end of the story, then all your questions will be answered for sure.

As for the 99th review... you still have the chance to be the 100th is you want. I don't think you reviewed Chapter 15 ;P

Yes! It was a challenging weekend, but finally I managed to post it. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. There was quite a lot of story building in this one, since there were some storylines that had been craving for attention for a while. But still, the set up allowed for quite some action to be included, so I'm happy that the chapter could be fun as well.

The story is heading towards its conclusion (it will be a long conclusion, though). I'd say that the next chapter will probably be the last of the second act and will open it up for the third and final act, which will be VERY packed with action (and, of course, the plot conclusion, where I think there are still some surprises to be had)...

The review section here is starting to get unbearable. I'll still keep reviewing because I like the story, but I used to read the reviews to see what others thought and see where some constructive criticism might be (and there still is a decent amount of that, but the few spoil it for the whole). /rant

 

This was an interesting chapter. We got a peak of how the world is preparing to deal with the girls and a little more insight on what is going on in our own government. They think they know what can stop the girls, but can they effectively do what they need to do? Is the next chapter going to jump to casey or stay with the current situation? Maybe find out what happened to Lisa?

I'm glad that you will keep reviewing and doing so in the same tone as always :)

This chapter was long overdue and I know it has created frustration in some readers that it did not come before. The 7 remaining chapters of the story will answer your questions about what was laid out in here ;)

As for the coming chapter: it will be another mixed chapter. It will mostly focus on Casey, but you'll also find out more about what happened to Lisa. 

I'm travelling, but I hope I will be able to post it over the weekend in any case.

Ahh you skipped the meat of this chapter! Lol leaving some to the imagine I see. Haha. Interesting how she met with Lisa, gotta be careful not to hurt her too bad or she will grow too! Still Kelly is seeing that Lisa and Casey are problems still. How will she deal with them? The government has already had some ridiculous casualties. How many people are still willing to try and fight? Keep it coming and keep up the great work!

Soo that's why Casey came back! I figured she would see her old boyfriend, but hiding the vials, I didn't see that one coming. Love how Casey just does what she wants. . ;) what will happen when/if she gets bigger though? Holy crap! I am starting to get as annoyed with the people still trying to fight the girls I understand the military, but small town law enforcement? Please, I don't feel bad for them at all lol

Casey is crazy and her attitude towards the humans is terrifying. Would any thing they did help their survival at all? Doesn't seem like it. Her chapters seem typical giantess story stuff (which I don't mind). What would Kelly think? Does she even care anymore? Love it can't wait for more!

As someone who made a review of Volume 2 said, Casey is a character of the Joker type (I wish she could be a fraction as well done as the Joker, of course, but I'm happy enough that she can be classified in his type). She was remarkably bad to start with, and through what has happened to her along the first volume and the time between its end and Volume 2, she has become a sadist psycho-bitch. She truly enjoys using her power to cause death and destruction. As you say, there is not too much humans can do to ensure their survival. It depends, exclusively, on how Casey is feeling at a certain moment.

The question of what would Kelly think is a very good one. It's hard to say, seeing how Kelly has been evolving. Deep inside, she would probably not care, but most likely she would let appearances guide her reaction and she would chastize Casey for her attitude. In the end, it would be nothing more than a way to try to show that she is the only one in charge, and hence the only one that can decide when it's right to kill and when it's not.

I hope that you keen enjoying what's coming.

Now we get to see what the government has planned. They are super scared and not thinking correctly. Did they get the memo Kelly easily wiped out an entire battalion? 

Casey back inhenford? Girl on a mission!

What about Lisa?Pissed at Kelly for destruction and possible loss of her family. She knows she needs to get bigger. Can she?

Yes, the President is definitely not thinking right. Some people in the crisis team are a little more rational, but I'm afraid that they are not able to get the President back on the right track, for the moment...

Casey is back in Henford. And yes, she is on a mission. Being back home will make her slow down enough to revive some of the moments in Volume 1 and to close some things that she left open.

And Lisa... for the first time she wants to become bigger. The question is, as you put it, whether she can.

Love it love it love it!!!! This was an amazing chapter! We all know Casey wants to get bigger. Can she? What about her cousin? Will she get big too? Loved the core part of it even though I'm not a core guy. As usual what an awesome chapter! Can't wait for next week!

Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much. I thought that Casey's storyline deserved a little more substance than just mindless rampaging. Of course, her "lack" of rampaging has ended up with several people dead and a dozen in her stomach and there is no doubt that she is a monster.

Now, the question of whether Casey can get bigger is really the key question of her storyline, isn't she? Depending on the answer, the story overall will evolve on one direction or the other. So... I'm not going to explain it, of course! Same for Mandy (even if she is just a supporting character).

As for the vore part: I'm not a fan either. I could not write a story focused on it or even one where the girls enjoy this partcular aspect so much that they do it over and over again. I really hesitated on whether to include it or not in Side Effects. Then, I thought: Casey is hungry. She hasn't eaten in all day and every source of food seems to be too small or to require too much effort. Would she, under these circumstances, consider to eat people? The answer was obvious!

Thanks for the feedback, as usual. Next week's chapter is a relevant one. I'd say that while this week's chapter marked the transition from Casey's introductorty chapters to the real action, next week's will be Kelly's (in a very different way, of course).

I had some mixed feelings about this chapter. I had to really read it s couple times to kind of fully appreciate it. At first I thought this chapter was too similar to an earlier chapter. After reading it a couple more times I noticed a few things. You can kind of see Kelly changing and getting more annoyed with people. I'm a little surprised she doesn't have more people willing to worship her yet. What's the government planning to do since she's already caused mass casualties? I thought nuke was coming in last story, does itshow up here? Will Lisa be able to get edge over Casey again? Will either realize how to get bigger? Another great chapter. Can't wait for more!

I had some other comments about this chapter feeling repetitive. I guess it's true. I wanted this chapter to show Kelly's continued evolution to someone that has stopped caring about people and sees herself way above them. Once I look at it in retrospective, I could have probably achieved the same objective with a chapter that had been a little different (I should probably have avoided having the cops shooting her, which is probably the part that felt more repetitive, and tried to find an alternative instead). Still, I think that I managed to achieve my objectives on character development (even if the chapter could have been funnier set in a different way). Anyway, I can guarantee you that what's coming will be more original :)

About your questions:

- Kelly is not that type of goddess. She does not want to be worshipped as a supernatural being. She "just" wants to rule and be respected. And, honestly, so early in her conquest, I had a hard time imagining the people who are being slaughtered by her doing anything other than fighting back or trying to get away.

- The government is still trying to decide how to react. More about this in tomorrow's chapter :)

- More to come about Lisa tomorrow as well!

Holy crap is Kelly crazy with power. Love it! I just wonder how much longer the military can fight her before they give up. Are u gonna go to Casey next week and Lisa the week after that? As much as I want to see what they are doing I'm fascinated by what's going on with Kelly. Awesome!

Kelly is definitely drunk with power. As I mentioned in a previous review, she is just looking for ways to rationalize the use of that power. In this case, the fact that the Pentagon contains some of the people that ordered the attacks on her gives her an excuse to use her power without inhibitions, which in the end, even if she doesn't want to admit it yet, makes her feel good.

Next week's chapter is focused on Lisa. And then you'll get Kelly again. She is, by far, the character with the most "screen time" in this story. I believe you will enjoy a lot of the chapters that are coming.

Summary:

This story is meant to be lighter in tone (not in destruction!) to my previous works and to some of the projects I'm working on. It's inspired by "Eileen, larger than life":

The idea is to take EIleen where it ended and to have her sister get the same growth powers she had 13 years later. Just to keep exploring, the story is written in first person and present tense.

Synopsis: Vicki is a hot and cocky 21-year old bikini model. Oh, and she has become a super-powered 250 feet tall giantess. Her sister Eileen was already a giant 13 years ago, only in the end she agreed on being reduced. Vicki will not make the same mistake. The world has become her playground and she will have no inhibitions as she is having the time of her life with the city. After a while, she will also find out that she can change her size at will and will explore a few more heights, until the only references she can use to measure herself up are geological.

Thankfully (I hope), se has decided to tell us about her adventure first hand...
