James couldn't believe this.

Babysitting? On a Friday? What a waste of his time. He sat in his family's living room and watched his baby sister, Mary, play with one of her dolls, occasionally knawing on it to relieve her teething pain. She was only one and a half, and yet she was already very mobile around the house.

In the next room, Mary's older sister Marissa is on her phone, James could hear the periodic text message alert. He couldn't help but wonder who the hell his 7 year old sister could possibly be texting so much. Just as he pondered this, his mom walked in to give him his final reminders.

"Change Mary before you put her to sleep, don't make Marissa do it. No inviting any of your friends over, you need to focus on your sisters tonght, got it?"

James knew full well his friends were already on their way over. "Got it."

His mom was satisfied. "Any questions?"

James couldn't help but ask, "Why do I have to do this when Sara is basically my age?"

His sister Sara was upstairs, preparing for a night out on the town with her friends, she was less than a year younger than James, also 18, so he couldn't help but be annoyed at the fact that he was stuck babysitting. He already knew his moms answer before he asked.

"Well, technically you're older so you have more responsiblity. Alright, I'm going to head out, love you sweetie!"

James rolled his eyes as his mom walked out the front door. He meandered over to the couch, sat down, and pulled out his phone to text his friends, complaining about how bored he is. After waiting for what felt like forever, his friends finally arrived at his house. He opened the door to the group.

"Jimmy! How you been?" Rob said as he let himself into the house. Rob was the closest in the group to James, following him was Simon, one of Rob's buddies, and two girls. Becca was the stereotypical cheerleader type, loud, pretty dumb, and gourgeous. James was always trying to find a way to get her in bed, but the best he's been able to muster is a few chuckles from her at his bad jokes. The last person to step in was Kelly. She was very quiet, especially compared to the others in the group, but she was fairly smart and she knew Rob very well so she often tagged along with him.

"We found this package on your doorstep.." Simon said as he gave James a brown box. The strange thing was that the name on it was James' and not either of his parents.

"I don't remember ordering anything"

The group walked into the kitchen and sat down around the table. Everyone was curious as to what exactly James had, especially after his confusion in getting it. He cut the package and tore it apart. Inside was a piece of metal. It resembled an part of an appliance. Stainless steal and strangely shaped. As James held it up there was a sudden flash that blinded everyone sitting at the table. Within half a second they were all unconsious.

When James woke up he couldn't quite understand what had happened. He was on a perfectly flat surface. In the distance he saw Rob and Becca running toward him. He stood up and looked around, the chair next to him was giant, stretching high into the heavens. The kitchen light was as bright as the sun, drenching them in light. Rob and Becca finally made it to him.

"What the hell happened?" James questioned.

Rob responded, "We're the size of bugs now"
