Author's Chapter Notes:

Sorry, no the story isn't dead, just got other things that needed to be done before this.  I'll try and get the next chapter out sooner but it wont be that soon.

“Princess this is a very bad idea,” Nancy told Olivia as she started to pack up a bag with the essential clothes she thought she would need for the journey.  Olivia had never been to Brax town but she heard it was cold, and she didn’t want to be chilly there.

“Is it,” Olivia asked sounding very heated. Her voice raising as she stormed her chambers tossing more clothes, brushes, perfume, and other supplies that she would need for the long trip. “Dagon runs off with Cindy and you think I should stay here and not do anything?! And you're fine with Cindy just disappearing without a word to you either??”

Olivia watched the worry and concern on Nancy’s face break out for a few moments before calming down, as her maid training had taught her. Her break in emotions was something she usually never did, which just showed how worried she was for Dagon’s sister and personal lover. Still Nancy’s emotions cleared up as she seemed to be able to correct herself infront of Olivia, “I’m sure they are fine. Cindy is strong… so is Dagon.”

Olivia paused and closed her eyes as she felt like maybe she was overreacting. Dagon didn’t need her to help. Especially if Cindy is with him, in fact she was a Giantess. However…that still didn’t help this sinking and horrible feeling she had. Like if she didn’t do something, yesterday would be the last time she would ever see Dagon alive. No matter how much she fought it off, she got that dreaded feeling that Dagon was in trouble. “I know… I know you’re right but-” Olivia spun around to confront Nancy showing the fear and concern in her face, “What if they aren’t? What if they get into trouble and need help?”

It was clear Nancy was thinking the same thing as Olivia spoke her worries out loud, however Nancy couldn’t help but look away not willing to speak out. Olivia saw the worry on her face and it was clear she wasn’t trying to work up Olivia’s own fears. Nancy always was always trying to be the best maid she could be. “I know Princess, but what about your father? He would never allow you to leave like this.”

Olivia let out a huff at the very true words spoken, “Than thanks goodness I’m not telling him.”

Nancy turned toward Olivia just as she shut her bags closed with a slam, “Your highness… you’re gonna run away?!”

Olivia shushed Nancy with her hands and words, “Shhh… technically… kind of…”

Nancy shook her head, “This is a VERY bad idea-”

Olivia rolled her eyes, “It’s fine, I’ll have my personal guard with me. And it’s not like I haven’t learned anything from Dagon, Cindy, and Melody about the outside.” Olivia puffed her chest out proudly, “I’ve learned a few things about how to survive out in the wilds.”

Nancy didn’t show it, but doubt ran throughout her body, “Princess...your majesty… please reconsider-”

Olivia couldn’t help but pick up the stupid note that Dagon left her, “Nancy,” She said waving the flimsy paper sheet around, “You know as well as I do that Dagon sucks at writing. It’s clear what he’s intending to do, and no amount of smokescreening he tries with THIS letter is gonna persuade me that Melody and Ashely aren’t in trouble. Now we know where they are going, and maybe my presence in Brax town can help with something political or… I don’t konw…” Olivia sighed as she felt useless right now. “I just,” Olivia looked at Nancy as she also mirrored her reaction of hopelessness, “I don’t- no I CAN’T sit around and do nothing. I can’t just wait for them to get back or hear news about something bad happening to them.”

Nancy let out her own sounds of worry as she knew what Olivia was saying, “Your majesty… if we’re gonna do this, then at least we should come up with a decent lie for your father.  That way he doesn’t send all his men after you the minute he finds out you left.”

Olivia smiled at her best friend, “Thank you…” However that smile faded, “Uh… so, um, what would that be?”

Nancy sighed again as she headed over to the desk in Olivia’s room, “I’ll start to prepare something believable for him.”

Dagon sat on Cindy’s shoulder, in the freezing cold, as they continued to head toward Brax town. Rubbing his hand together yet again, Dagon breathed into his hands as he tried to warm them up so he didn’t lose any fucking fingers to the fridged air. “You're sure you're not cold,” Dagon Asked his sister again.

“Of course not,” Cindy told him, trying to sound sure, but failing as the chill was clearly heard in her voice.  It was like she was trying to pretend she wasn’t stuttering on some vows and letters.

“Let’s take a break and warm up,” Dagon said, patting Cidny’s shoulder.

“I said I’m not cold,” Cindy remarked, definitely trying to act tough.

Annoyed at his stupid stubborn sister Dagon grumbled before he said annoyed, “Well I am, and I’m not gonna freeze my butt off on your shoulder cause you’re not cold. I’m not trying to be a freaking icicle before I see my daughter.” Dagon pointed to a nice patch of ground for them to take a break.

As much as Cindy grumbled and complained, she finally took a seat and huddled her legs up to her body to conserve heat as she tried to warm her limbs up. Dagon tried to think of what to do for his sister, but it wasn’t like they had a blanket for her. In hindsight, Dagon should have made something for her before heading up here. However in Dagon’s defense he never needed to make one for her where they live and it wasn’t like he had time to prepare one for her.

“It’s best not to sit still,” Dagon warned as he stood by his enormous sitting sister.

Cindy rolled her eyes and mocked Dagon, “Best not sit still, what are you, an expert about the north now that we’re here?”

Dagon scoffed at his sister’s attitude, “No. But I have been here a few times, and trust me, you don’t want any frostbite on your hands or feet. So… don’t sit still too long.”

Cindy was deciding on listening to her brother, and finally rolled her eyes before standing up and moving around casually. “This sucks,” Cindy complained as she walked around as she tried to keep moving, taking her brother's advice.  Shuffling around and making sure her limbs didn’t freeze up on her.

Dagon rubbed his hands and causally breathed into them to warm them up, yet again. He did his best to stay out of his sister’s causally trampling path. He didn’t think of how much space she would take up moving around in the little area. However now it seemed Dagon had to more than once to dodge his sister’s freaking feet. Staying out of her massive path was more of a work out than Dagon thought as it was actually keeping him warmer than what he was doing beforehand.

Finally fed up with staying out of Cindy’s stupid steps, Dagon called out, “Okay I think we’re warm enough.”

“Maybe you are,” Cindy muttered as she looked still chilly, but what did Dagon expect considering she wasn’t really dressed for the weather up here. The little blanket of bear skin that Dagon made last night hardly covered her midsection, never mind her feet, legs, and arms.

“Well,” Dagon sighed, “The sooner we go, the quicker we can get to town, and the sooner I can buy more pelts… unless you want to stand here all day while I try and find more wildlife to use.” Dagon gave a snort as he gestured around the pretty dead looking environment.  Not much plant life and less wildlife, “Considering how many animals we spotted the past couple of hours, I doubt there's enough to make you a sock or mitten.”

“Socks,” Cindy asked, confused at the word.

It took Dagon a moment to remember that footwear was nonexistent for Giantess like his sister. “Never mind, let’s just head out. Sooner we get to town, the sooner I can buy stuff and get information. Which means the sooner we can go back home where it’s warm.”

Cindy sighed and nodded, “And where Nancy is…”

Dagon nodded, “Yeah, and  where Nancy is.” He couldn’t help but think of Olivia at the mention of Nancy. His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden harsh knock into his shoulder as Cindy poked at him.

She snickered, “And Olivia, I know you miss her too.”

“Oh get off my back,” Dagon scoffed as he recovered from the mighty impact he got from his stupid sister’s super finger. “We haven’t even been gone that long.  How could I miss her?”

“Sure…. We have been gone long enough to not want to be here,” Cindy reported as she crossed her arms over her frigid chest as she looked down at Dagon. “I still have no idea why anyone would want to live up here in this stupid place. It’s so cold and barren. Did Melody really grow up here?”

Dagon watched as Cindy started to bend down and lower her hand to pick him up. As she lifted up Dagon and brought him to her shoulder he sighed, “I don’t know. She doesn’t really talk a lot about her past. I mean…” Again Dagon sighed as he thought about it. Cindy slowly started to walk forward and to their destination as Dagon went on, “I don’t ask. Maybe I should? There's a lot I don’t know about her but like,” Dagon felt some kind of conflict in him, “Should I?”

Cindy shrugged, nearly toppling the unsuspecting Dagon from her shoulder. “I don’t know. Do YOU want to?”

Dagon had to think about it for a while. Sure Melody was his daughter's mom, but he didn’t have much if any attraction to the Giantess. Especially after what transpired a few years ago. The more he thought about that day he was captured and used for her own desire, the more it only made Dagon dislike Melody more.  Yet he couldn’t fault her since he knew about Giantess mating cycles.

However, unlike the past, things and people change. Melody never made a move or forced herself back on him like that day. No matter how many times she seemed tempted at certain times of the year. Dagon respected that more than anything. “I don’t know,” Dagon muttered as he started to contemplate the thought of knowing more about the giantess that was raising his daughter. “Maybe? Ashely is being raised by her. Maybe I should know more about what’s being taught. I kind of remember what mom taught us when she was praising you, at least if you can call that raising.” Dagon scoffed as he shook his head at the thought of his past and his mom.

“What? Mom wasn't that bad,” Cindy said, trying to defend her.

Dagon looked at his sister like she was crazy. He was about to say something but recalled how young she was last time he was with their mom. “Maybe to you,” Dagon said before turning away and watching the vast landscape change as Cindy walked. “She was a total BI-”

“Hey,” Cindy cut Dagon off with a warning in her voice, “That’s our mom you're talking about.”

“Yeah…” Dagon scoffed as he went on, “Which is why I was gonna call her a-”

Cindy turned toward Dagon and gave him a look that made him rethink the word he was gonna call her. “A person I didn’t like…” Dagon said with an annoyed look. “You might not have to worry about her, but she hated me.”

“She didn’t hate you,” Cindy argued, turning her attention back to the ground before her.

Dagon would have let out a hard laugh if he wasn’t too busy not trying to bite his tongue off with each step Cindy was making. Dagon rolled his eyes that his sister couldn’t see, “AH yes, I forgot that threatening to eat you whole was a loving sentiment that EVERY parent tells their child.  How forgetful of me.”  The amount of sarcasm coming from Dagon made Cindy’s shoulder feel heavier than before.

Cindy didn’t argue with his remark.

Dagon shook his head, “She was some mom… look can we just not talk about her?”

Cindy slowly nodded her head in agreement.

Dagon sighed as he looked out over the horizon as they traveled. He was quiet, which also didn’t help as Cindy was silent. The only sound was the soft thuds of her feet on the frozen ground before her. The silence between the two was long as Cindy continued to walk and Dagon stayed on her shoulder for the journey. Dagon felt bad as every breeze of cold air made Cindy shiver, but she never said a word about the weather.

Dagon finally said something to spark a conversation up for the long walk, “Soooo, when are you gonna marry Nancy?”

Cindy seemed to trip over an invisible rock or root as she stumbled forward before stopping herself from falling. “WHAT?! Why are you asking that,” Cindy asked flustered at the very private and personal question.

“What? I’m your brother… the least we can do is chat about it while we walk,” Dagon said, trying to sound innocent at the big question he asked.

Cindy muttered as she went back to a strolling pace, “I mean… like I said, I want to… some time… soon...”

Dagon snorted as he rolled his eyes, “Ah yes, soon. I love that time. It’s somewhere between yesterday and never.”

Cindy turned her head toward Dagon with an angry scowl and pressed her lips together and blew a mighty blow of hot air to push Dagon off her shoulder. Dagon would have gone tumbling off Cindy if he wasn’t prepared the moment he saw her turning toward him. Dagon grabbed the material closest to him and held on as the mighty gust of air ripped at him. “Buzz off brother.”

“Just calm down,” Dagon panted as he relaxed after the attack.  At least it warmed him up a bit. “I’m just trying to fucking help my baby sister.”

Cindy shook and possibly rolled her eyes at the “help” that Dagon was trying to offer. Finally she spoke, “Yeah? And what? How are you gonna help me when you haven’t even made a move on Olivia?”

Dagon’s teasing smile slowly died, “I… well that’s completely different.”

“Ohhhhh,” Cindy smirked as she was now on the attack, “How so? I thought you were both doing soooooo well together, I mean… it’s not like your a GIANTESS trying to marry a normal person.”

Dagon’s mouth hung open at the actuations, “She’s royalty!”

“Oh noooo…” Cindy mocked, “Olivia trying to marry someone her own size… how dreadful.”

Dagon slapped Cindy's shoulder, that was probably more like a tickle to her, “There is so much more to her world than ours! Besides her fucking dad is like out to get me. I can’t even be in the same room if he’s there! You have no idea how bad it is…” Dagon watched Cindy glance at him with an arched brow, just before she scoffed Dagon went on, “Okay… so maybe we're more alike than we think, but I’m just saying Nancy has already tooken the deep dive, you both are already there. Me and Olivia… well…” Dagon sighed as he thought about it while watching Cindy walk over a crevice in the ground that would have been nearly impossible for Dagon to jump over. Dagon let out a sullen voice as he went on, “She’s… she’s got options that she can make. She doesn’t need to settle for me-”

Cindy let out a mighty snort, “OH my god… you're so fucking oblivious… you want to give me advice, and yet look at you, that is just so sad.”

Dagon glared at Cindy, “What are you fucking trying to say, huh?”

“Oh please… she’s completely head over heels for you!” Cindy retorted with a goofy know it all grin. “She’s been like that since… well, I’d say day one, but I wasn’t there… sweet Olivia is totally into you. And you're into her… so stop being a little,” Cindy slowed down as she brought her face closer to Dagon, “Whimp! I mean if I’m gonna ask Nancy to marry me, the least you can do is try and be official with Olivia’s dad and everyone else around her.”

Dagon was annoyed that his sister would poke at this topic. He was trying to make it more about her, but it somehow turned on him. Yet, she had a point. He should make it more official than just rumors and speculations. Dagon should try and throw his hat into the fray and ask for Olivia’s hand.

Letting out the exhausted sigh, Dagon nodded, “I guess you’re right. So … what are we gonna do, try and see who asks who first?”

There was a pause before Cindy looked at Dagon with a smug childish look which Dagon could only replicate before saying, “Loser has to do what?”

“Well… my toes have been feeling a little stiff and scraggly, especially from walking up here on all this cold hard ground,” Cindy mentioned with the shitties grin on her face.

Dagon shuddered, and it wasn’t because of the cold. The thought of having to clean and pamper his giant sister’s toes was one of the few NO NOS he had. A giantess's feet was something one did not want to be near after long walks.

However Dagon gave Cindy the same shit eating grin as he spoke, “Well, I haven’t had Skralling in a while…”

Cindy’s face went from cocky to straight cold horror, “You wouldn’t…. the last time I went to grab one, it fucking sprayed me and I smelled horrible for a week!”

Dagon just shrugged, “Hey if you want to back out now like a wuss go ahead…”

Cindy contemplated it before narrowing her eyes as she weighed the possible benefits and downfalls of this bet. Finally she spoke, “DEAL!”

Dagon laughed as he gave Cindy a sinister smile “Oh shit, this gonna be good. I mean the moment we get back all I got to do ask Olivia, but you?  Well you gotta wait till Nancy leaves the town to even talk with her. I hope you don’t mind smelling like Skralling for a week!”

Cindy smirk instantly died as she realized what Dagon was saying. He could get to town any time of the day but Cindy had to wait till Nancy snuck out to meet her. “HEY NO THAT’S NOT FAIR!”

“ooo are you trying to back out now,” Dagon mocked his enormous sister..

“You tricked me!” Cindy yelled as she turned toward Dagon on her shoulder glaring daggers at him.

“Too late, we made the bet,” Dagon continued to tease as he got ready to dodge any of Cindy’s swats or smacks at him.

“DAGON!” Cindy cried as she did just that. Her left arm tried to swat and hit her annoying brother, but he was too quick and limber as he crawled around her shoulder and neck. Cindy was whining at her brother as she swung and missed every time. Always hearing his annoying laugh in her ears as he slithered around her neck and body.

Cindy complained for a long time as she tried to punish her elusive brother. The two siblings continued to argue and tease each other as they made their way to Brax town

The journey to Brax town was longer than Dagon remembered, but Cindy made it to one of the few checkpoints outside of town undetected. The sign on the dusty and unkept road told Dagon they were close. Oddly there didn’t seem to be a soul nearby traveling to or from Brax town.

“Alright,” Dagon told Cindy as he slipped down her arm and to the cold ground. “You stay here, maybe look around a little, BUT,” Dagon said firmly, “Stay out of sight, I don’t need Brax town going into a frenzy seeing you walking around near their city.”

Cindy rolled her eyes as she shooed Dagon off while mocking him, “DoN’t bE a giAntESs NeAR a ciTY!” Cindy gave Dagon a look, “I get it… jeez, you act like this is new to me.  Not the first time I had to sit around waiting for you.”

“I’m just trying to keep you from getting hurt,” Dagon told her with as much sincerity as he could without acting like an older brother.  He really wanted to give her some sass but he could understand her feelings about the whole situation.

“And I’m fine,” Cindy complained as she rolled her eyes at him. “Jeez, if anything I’d be more worried about yourself. Gonna go walk into some random town and ask questions about giantess… If anyone should be worrying I’d think it would be you.”

Dagon shook his head at his sister's remark as he grabbed his bag and started the long journey to Brax town. His sister didn’t know what she was saying, Dagon knew from first hand experience how to react with others. As a Giantess she had no idea what it was like all those years he was on his own. He knew exactly what to say and how to behave, what to do to blend in and be a common local or a traveler. Ignoring any words of advice that Cindy gave, Dagon headed toward the town of Brax. Slowly he made his long journey across the rough and unkept road to the town.

The walk toward the northern town could have been more gentle as the ground felt more like loose rubble or rocks. The ground wasn’t paved or repaid like other towns, it was clear there wasn’t much care going into the roads. Brax Town must be putting its money and manpower into other activities than paving the trading route to and from the city. Traversing across the road while stumbling, made it harder to reach his destination. Combine that with the cold bleak weather, it only made the trip that much worse.  Dagon had to tug his cloak and clothing closer and tighter as he approached the distant city, just so he wouldn’t freeze his jewels off. As horrible as the walk to the city was, he knew it would have been worse without his sister.  Even so, he shut his happiness and any emotions for his sister’s help down, and  made his way toward the major town in the area to get some answers and simple supplies. Daogn slowly came toward the town walls and gate.  As he approached the weird object he saw slowly came into focus causing him to reach the shocking and stunning sight before him.

The opening gates were the same normal looking doors, with the same size and girth as many towns like this. However there were more details to the main gate that took Dagon aback as soon as he walked through and took in the sight before him. There were large long looming objects hanging over the entrance just beyond the gate, once you entered Brax Town. Those elongated shapes came into view as Dagon got closer, big enormous white bones hanging over the gate openings like a chandelier.  Dagon couldn’t help but look at the jagged stick like structures that hung over the outside of the gate. Dagon felt his stomach drop as he could only think of one creature… or person, that would make such bones, a giantess. Those were giantess bones draping the outskirts of the town like decorations or trophies.  Something that wasn’t here last time Dagon traveled to the town.  The sigh of those white chalky beams lining above him made his stomach turn at the possibilities of who they belonged to.

Dagon buried the sick and disgusted feeling as he stepped into Brax Town. A pair of guards were standing at the wide open gates. Any attention Dagon thought he was gonna get from them, was nonexistent. The guards were so uncaring and nonchalant about Dagon entering the city, that he hardly had to say a word or two before he was let into the open city. He wasn’t even checked for dangerous weapons.  It was clear they were more concerned about other things.  Dagon slowly walked beyond the gate and into the very bleak and bland town. The streets were nearly empty and the citizens were hardly out walking around. Dagon saw a few people on the side of the street eyeball him but soon turned away from him. It was like walking through a ghost town, there was little to no life or activity going on around him and it was startling.

Dagon had a bad feeling about this place, as he slowly lurked deeper into the livelihoods of Brax Town and its citizens. No one seemed “normal '', everyone looked gloomy, upset, or agitated.  The only sound he heard was either someone arguing with someone or a cold and quiet voice asking for food.  Every other corner Dagon turned he found someone fighting with another or a limp body on the side of the street. A haunting aura hovered around the town, which made Dagon on edge.

“What the fuck,” Dagon muttered to himself as he passed another brawl of two men trying to beat the other to a pulp. Finally he was entering the so-called “trading center”, the marketplace for the whole town.  The heart of the city.  This too seemed oddly empty. Dagon looked at the stalls around and found most of them had nothing if not small supplies he didn’t need. Confused, Dagon went to the nearest stall, “Hey… I’m looking for lots of pelts and furs. You know anyone who might have some?” Dagon slowly slid a gold piece to the shopkeeper. The keeper quickly snatched it up before checking the authenticity of the coin. Satisfied he looked back at Dagon with a weary look, but after being paid he gave up the info.

“Yeah… yeah, over there,” he said, pointing toward another larger stall while pocketing the coin. “They got something from the last hunt.”

Dagon paused at that word and how he said it, “Hunt?” Dagon repeated, not sure what that meant.

“Yeah…” He nodded, “Now go on you, unless you're gonna buy something or want to trade for more information,” He asked with a greedy twinkle in his eye. His hand shot out for more gold.

Dagon slowly shook his head, he wasn’t made of money and didn’t need to be blowing his cash that easily. Dagon walked away from the grumpy trader as he headed toward the pelt dealer. As Dagon approached he also noticed how gloomy and grungy this trader was too. Just like the atmosphere of the town, he looked deprived and poor of funds. Dagon slowly approached the merchant and saw his eyes glow at a possible customer.

“GREETINGS!” The voice sounded stressed as it was forced to be full of excitement.

Dagon finally asked the looming question, “What… what’s going on around here?”

“What do you mean,” He asked, sounding a little confused. “Wait, did you not want to … buy?” The warning in his voice sounded worried and harsh as it seemed that his hopes of money were being ripped away.

“Do you sell pelts, fabric, or something to use for staying warm,” Dagon asked to make sure this wasn’t a waste of time.

“Why of course!” He quickly spoke.

“Then yes, I have business with you. So long as it’s what I'm looking for.”  Dagon stressed his words to make sure he understood that Dagon wasn’t a chump.

The merchant looked hesitant as he glanced around as if expecting someone to come rob him, “What are you looking for… stranger?”

Dagon sensed the man's hesitation. First Dagon showed his hands before dipping his hand into his pocket to show some coins. This seemed to ease the man before him, “Well, I need fabric, the warmer the better. The larger, well I got a lot of people to clothe, so the bigger the better ....”

The trader’s eyes bulged before a giant grin came on his face, “Well stranger… I have what you're looking for and MORE!”

Dagon nodded as he dropped his coins into his pocket before repeating, “So this place…. It’s a lot different from when I was here last.”

The merchant paused as he stopped from gathering his materials. “How so?”

“Well, it seems so much… uh… less lively, I guess. Did something happen here,” Dagon asked as he watched the merchain before him slowly go into the tent behind him. “Everyone seems kind of off, I guess, or I’m just not used to this freezing weather,” Dagon chuckled, hoping to get a friendly response from the trader.

The merchant wasn’t laughing as he went about his business and finally came back out of his tent of supplies, “A lot has happened in the last few years. Things have changed…” The pause he left on made Dagon arch a brow at those haunted words.

“Changed… like for the better or… worse?” Dagon asked seeing the man seem uncomfortable explaining. Seeing how touchy the subject was Dagon threw his hands up, “Nevermind, forget it. Let’s just focus on our trade, and I’ll be out of your hair.”

This seemed to please the man as he nodded before pulling out a large chunk of fur and slammed it on the table before them. “Just got this today. Fresh and warm, one of the larger pieces I got. Feel it, it’s good quality. Sure it might take some work to cut it to normal size to fit you or whoever, but you can’t beat the softness and warmth provided.”

Dagon looked at the large cloth fabric that was easily determined to belong to a large creature. There was only one type of creature that would wear this, a Giantess. Dagon kept a stone face as he looked at the wolf and bear hybrid clothing that a Giantess must have made and stitched together. “Wh-where did you get this? This is giantess clothing…”

For the first time the trader smirked, “Good eye sir, I have plenty, in fact if you're looking for something more furry, I have one made of Elk and Mogor. A weird combination but oddly satisfying.  Especially with the cold season coming in.”

Dagon didn’t care about any of that, he was too shocked to see Giantess clothing being sold, and it sounded like there was more. “How…?” Dagon asked, trying to find out how the trader got his hands on something so important.  One would have to sneak up on a sleeping giantess or kill one, but both were highly unlikely.

The merchain gave Dagon a cocky grin, “I know a few people on the hunting party, I cut them a good deal and they usually give me the materials of their kills.”

Dagon felt a chill run up his spin as he knew what that meant. Brax town was killing Giantess!  It was an almost unheard of concept. Sure fighting off a Giantess or two was something most people did, but a fucking Hunting Party?! That was going to track, attack, and kill giantesses. This was something that Dagon was unfamiliar with. “You guys… attack giantesses,” Dagon asked, horrified at the possible answer.

The Merchain gave a soft shrug, “I don’t. I just sell the stuff the hunters don’t need or want.”

Dagon’s head was whirling at the news. This was insane. There was no way. How? No WHY?! It was beyond unheard of to try and do something so foolish and risky. Yet, there was no denying the fact that Dagon was looking at a fabric bra and loincloth made out of animal fur for a giantess to wear.  “… I’ll take it,” Dagon said, paying the sum of money asked for the premade fabric. It wouldn't be too hard to customize the clothing for Cindy. However, Dagon had more questions about this giantess hunting party.

A sick feeling was running through him as he started to piece together the horrible signs in the town. The large bones decorating areas had to belong to several Giantess victims. Lucky, Dagon noticed most of those bones were old, maybe a year or so. Melody hadn’t come up here till a week or so, so those couldn’t possibly be her bones, however that didn’t change the fact that Ashely and Melody were up here somewhere. A place where people HUNTED Giantess… Dagon had a much heavier sense of worry draping over his shoulders as part of his family was in mortal danger.

Folding and wrapping up the fabric so he could put it in his backpack and carry it back to Cindy.  Dagon decided he should get more information out of this town before he left. This wasn’t the Brax he was familiar with. Things had changed in the past couple years he had last been here. “Hey,” Dagon said to the merchant counting his coins, “This hunt, do you know when the next one is? Or who I can talk to about joining or whatever?”

“You want to join,” The merchant scoffed at the silly question. However Dagon gave him a serious look that cut his mocking tone off, “Uh, well, you can talk to Alex.”

Dagon waited for a few moments before letting out an annoyed and grumbling voice at the lack of explanation behind that answer, “AND WHERE IS ALEX?!”

The trader jumped as he shuddered at the harsh voice Dagon growled out, “OH! RIGHT! Uh, he’s at the center of town preaching! You can’t miss him, big beard, long hair… Scar on the left eye!”

Dagon slowly nodded before saying, “Thanks.” With no more need for the merchant, Dagon followed the directions. Luckily there wasn’t any way the city could have changed that much that Dagon didn’t recall some of the streets. Following the path he knew, he ducked around corners and alleys to head toward the center of town. Dagon noticed the citizens of Brax town, most of them seemed either starving or highly aggressive littering the back roads or streets.  If they weren’t slumped up against a door or object they seemed to be in a fist fight with someone.

Dagon made sure to avoid as many people as he could making his way toward this mysterious person, Alex. Dagon slipped through the streets till he came into a large crowd, it wasn’t enormous like some of Hagger’s town events.  Those streets were way more packed than here.  However, that didn’t stop the fact that there were a lot of citizens of the city standing around listening and watching. Dagon stood in the back of the substantial sized crowd of people. He could just make out the person up on a stand in the middle of the square, as he talked to everyone.

“THERE’S NO NEED TO BE AFRAID,” He shouted to everyone in a calm and commanding voice. Dagon noticed how many people in the crowd were agreeing with him.  The congregation of bodies was filling up the square as the speech continued as it  riled up more people.    “They may be bigger but we have NUMBERS! TOO LONG HAVE WE HID BEHIND THESE DAMN WALL!  TOO LONG HAVE WE FEARED THEM!  NOW IT’S OUR TIME, IT’S NOW UP TO US TO TAKE EVERYTHING BACK!” More agreement spread through the crowd as the man that Dagon could only assume was Alex spoke out in a commanding and assertive voice.  “You’ve seen us, we’ve come back with not just bodies for revenge, but for food!  Food that we’ve been lacking for so long, thanks to those monsters attacking our roads for years!  Now we can feed and be full, no longer waiting for others to try and feed us!  We have a source of meat!  A source of nourishment!”

Dagon’s ears and eyes perked up at those words.  They couldn’t possibly mean what he was thinking, right?

Food…

No, that was unthinkable.  There was no way they were eating… noway, that was fucking insane!

However, sure enough, someone standing on the stage with Alex, started to toss large chunks of what Dagon saw as chunks of packaged food into the crowd of people. The cheering and cries of happiness filled the town center as more pieces of “meat” were tossed out into the mass of citizens.

“We bring back more food for everyone! ENJOY! Tonight no one goes hungry!” Alex cheered as more food was tossed and handed out to the crowd of people.  The crowd of people surged forward toward the stage all wanting what was being offered to them.

Dagon was horrified and disgusted as he watched waves of people ushering forward to the free food being offered to what had to be a starving crowd. Dagon didn’t move as he continued to watch the man continue his talk while a frenzy of people tried to get something to eat. “For too long have they hunted and eaten us for their food and fun. Now it’s our time! Now it’s our TURN! No longer shall we starve behind these walls, we shall consume the hunters and make them the hunted! Join me and my fellow comrades and together we can purge these lands of those wretched and horrible creatures!  Let’s bring back a feast for not just us but for everyone to enjoy! LONG LIVE BRAX TOWN!” Alex’s voice roared as there was more cheering and more people tossing slabs of meat out into the crowd of people demanding more.

Dagon saw all he needed as he felt sick at the sight of people consuming Giantess meat. That was something he never even thought was possible. Dagon gave the sight one last look as the masses of people fought and argued for the meals being offered to everyone. The aggressive and heinous acts in the crowd were disturbing and off putting. Dagon had never seen people act so out of control and aggravated.  So bloodthirsty and angry.  It was like they were all driven mad.

Still Dagon got what he was looking for, information. It seemed somewhere in the past few years, Alex came into power or at least led people into hunting Giantess, to take one or more of them down.  Now it seems like he’s got a cult or following building off that initial attack.  The culture around Brax town had shifted heavily toward these hunts that Alex was conducting.  Something that was really unsettling.

Sure Dagon got it, kind of. However, this didn’t help him at all. In fact it made things much worse, as now his fear for Melody and Ashely increased several fold.  A whole town hunting down his daughter and mother of his child . Sure, Dagon wouldn’t be so worried about Melody, she might be fine, but she was looking after Ashely, who was just a child. There was no telling what could happen to them. Dagon had to find Cindy and try to get a head start on this freaking nutty town that wanted to kill and eat his daughter!

“Shit, what the fuck,” Dagon muttered in a panic as he headed through the streets and back toward the exit of this psycho crazy town. Dagon needed to get back and catch up with Cindy, than they needed to book it to find Ashely and Melody so they can head back to fucking Hager’s town. Taking his daughter to a fucking Giantess hunting land was probably the worest decision ever. If Dagon found Melody and Ashley unharmed and safe, he would have to give Melody mother of the year award…

Olivia and Nancy had been traveling for a few days. The carriage they took, without her father’s permission, had been on a nonstop journey to Brax Town. They had been going since the other night and were going on a full speed trip to Brax Town. As much as Olivia tried to sleep through the night, she couldn’t as she woke up throughout the night of their journey. The constant feeling in her gut didn’t help her either. However, as much as she hated the trip in the small wooden box, she was shocked at how fast they traveled. It was so much quicker than her last trip to Luther’s town, which made her wonder why the heck they didn’t use a carriage then? A question that she pondered the closer they got to Brax town.

It was getting later in the evening when Olivia started to feel herself starting to fall asleep.  Being up for so long was finally taking a toll on her.  The lack of sleep and the constant clopping of hooves and rolling wheels started to wear her down.

“Princess we are nearly there,'' one of Olivia’s guards said. “It shouldn’t take more than a few more hours to reach Brax town.”

The news startled Ovliva awake as she  slowly nodded.  Olivia took a look through the carriage window to see her drivers, “Good, the sooner we get there the better.” Olivia couldn’t help but narrow her eyes as she thought of Dagon running off without saying anything to her, “I have someone I need to TALK to,” Olivia grumbled as she sat in the carriage. Her anger only seemed to be fueled by the lack of sleep and annoyance of Dagon’s silly actions.

“Princess, I don’t know if you should be so upset with him,” Nancy said as she tried to remain as calm as she could in the carriage. This would seem to be her first time riding in a carriage and it was showing with each jostle and bump they took only made her look more agitated and nervous.

“And why not,” Olivia huffed, still feeling upset at Dagon’s lack of communication.

Nancy couldn’t do much but say, “I know he cares about you but he has others he cares about too. Both of you are important to his life. Or at least what I can tell. So please, I wouldn’t take this too harshly, it is his daughter he’s looking out for.”

The thought of Ashely made Olivia feel bad for forgetting the giant little girl. It was hard sometimes for Olivia to recall that Dagon did have a child, especially when he could only be around his daughter at certain times. It was easy for Olivia to understand how Dagon was feeling, because how worried she was about him, it must have been worse for him worrying about Ashely’s safety and wellbeing.  The young giantess wasn’t even old enough to be on her own.

Olivia sighed as she huffed some of the hate out of her system, as she calmed down, “You're right, but don’t think I’ll completely forgive him.”

“Of course your highness,” Nancy nodded as she flinched after another bump in the road.

Olivia felt bad as she watched Nancy try to stay calm, but it seemed even her nerves were shocked too, “I’m sorry about this Nancy, if I knew you didn’t like to travel like this, I would never have suggested it.” Olivia felt bad for her personal maid following her, granted she had her own reason for coming, but Olivia felt responsible for the predicament of putting the poor girl in a situation so distasteful to herself.

Nancy tried to calm down as she shook her head as a small smile creased her face in a kind of joking mood. “It’s kind of funny. Something so small carrying me can make me feel so unsafe, nervous, and sick… but, someone so large carrying me can make me feel so warm, safe, and loved.”

Olivia knew what Nancy was talking about, Cindy. Oddly Nancy was right, unlike this bumpy and wobbling cart, Cindy could easily carry both of them in a much smoother and gentler ride. Never once has Olivia worried about falling off of Cindy. “That might be true,” Olivia said before adding, “However, this is much faster than …” Olivia caught herself from saying the word Giantess. She had to remember that there were others around that could hear their conversation and she didn’t need Dagon or Cindy in any trouble from evesdroppers. “Other means of travel. In fact we should either catch up to Dagon and Cindy, or possibly even beat them to town.”

Nancy slowly nodded at the good news, however it didn’t improve her displeased look with the mode of transportation they were in. If anything it was like she was accepting a necessary evil in order to get where she needed to go faster than the runaways, Cindy and Dagon. It was probably for the best. Olivia sighed as she looked out the right side of the carriage to be met with a wall of rocks and dirt from the side of the clift they were riding alongside.  The trip to Brax Twon required climbing a trail along the side of a large cliff. Turning to the left side of the carriage Olivia looked over the bleak and cold landscape they traveled. She couldn't help but wonder what Dagon and Cindy were doing right now.  Olivia pondered what the brother and sister were doing while her transportation traveled above a large wooden forest spread out with hills and rivers below them.

The large clift side they were riding on had to be hundreds of feet tall, if not taller.  A height well above any giantess' reach. If anything Olivia would say they were traveling up the side of a mountain rather than a cliff, but they were heading up toward the flat land above the leafless forest below them. The weather was getting chillier the higher up they traveled.

“It sure is cold up here,” Olivia commented as she started to look for something to help put another layer on to keep out the cold.

“Here Princess,” Nancy said, “I packed you a-”

A sudden cry out from above the carriage was heard before the horses and carriage came to sudden stop jerking Nancy and Olivia about in the wooden box. Olivia landed in a heap while Nancy grabbed whatever she could to keep from falling.

“Whoa, whoa there!” one of Olivia’s guards called out. “Shit, what is this,” he grumbled.

“What’s going on,” Olivia called out, while getting up from the sudden stop. She tried to look out the front of the carriage but two of her guards were blocking the window to peek from. Heading to the door she swung it open, “Why did we stop, is everything okay-”

Olivia looked ahead of the carriage and not even twenty feet ahead, just around the bend she saw a large log of a tree blocking the entire path of the road. It was wide enough to cover from the side of the cliff to the edge of the road, blocking the path forward for the carriage. It would take everyone's effort to try and push it out of the way if they wanted to continue.

“Where did that come from,” One of her guards muttered looking at the enormously large tree lying in their path.

Olviva frowned, “Did… did it fall down? I don’t remember it raining any time soon…” She said, confused.

“Princess you should get back inside, “we’ll try and move it out of the way.” One of her four guards told her.

Olivia was about to do what they asked of her until she recalled something. It had been years so it didn’t click with her but finally she remembered her dangerous journey with Dagon, and how something similar happened. She gasped at the one word that came to mind, “Giantess…”

This was a trap.

Olivia was about to tell everyone they needed to leave but suddenly there was a sliding sound and a mighty thump behind them. Everyone turned around to see a young giantess blocking their retreat. She had just come sliding down the side of the cliff, which must have been not even a four foot drop for her. The young girl wasn’t fully grown, as far as Olivia could tell. She looked in her young, if not mid teens, well under Cindy and Melody’s size. However still big enough to pose a threat unlike Ashely and her size.

“HIGHNESS BACK INSIDE,” One of her guards yelled as he grabbed his weapons. “To arms men!”

All of Olivia’s guards got their weapons and in no time were guarding the back of the carriage from the monstrous girl standing behind them. Swords drawn and spears ready Olivia’s four guards were prepared to lay down their lives for her. Olivia watched as the young giantess seemed hesitant as if she didn’t want to fight. She looked hungry and tired. They didn’t need to fight. They could work this out.

“Wa-wait!” Olivia called out. “Everyone wait! We don’t have to fight,” Olivia cried out from the carriage. Olivia’s guards were shocked and confused when she ordered them to stand down.

“Princess, please,” Her captain begged, “It’s a giantess!”

“She’s hungry,” Olivia told her guards in the poor girl's defense. “We have plenty of food to give her. No one needs to get hurt or killed.” Olivia quickly told her guards as she quickly ordered one of them to get their supplies.

The giantess looked confused and perplexed at what was going on. Olivia didn’t want this child to go hungry or worse, her men hurt and maybe even kill her. If there was anything that Olivia learned with Cindy and Melody, is that Giantess weren’t evil-

Before Olivia could finish that thought the young giantess bent down and swatted one of Olivia’s guards off the cliff. The startling smack filled the air with its sudden and hard impact.  The man’s screams were heard as he was backhand off the ground and down toward the forest below, surely to die from the impact when he finally hit the ground or trees below.

Olivia gasped from the carriage door as her guards scrambled to get into position to defend her, however their chance was gone. The crouching giantess was already reaching for another soldier with her other hand and snatched him up like a weed from a garden. He cried out for a split second before the crunching and squishing sound of metal and bones could be heard.

“SHIT!” the captain of the now two man group yelled as he ordered his last man to back up.

It wasn’t fast enough as the large giantess’ foot came crashing into the man with a mighty kick. He went flying forward and smashed into the carriage backside. The loud sudden impact caused it to rock and shake, sending Olivia tumbling back inside. Nancy quickly shut the door, to offer some form of protection for Olivia.

Olivia was still recovering when she heard the captain of her guard demanding the giantess to leave them.

“Back you fucking monster, get back you BEAST! I’ll cut your fucking finger off if you even-” A startled sound was heard before the tone of his voice changed. Olivia couldn't see anything from the carriage back window, but she could hear as the man cried out for help and mercy, “PLEASE NO NO I DON’T WANT TO-”

A sickening chomping sound was heard as metal and bone was suddenly heard being crunched and chewed.

It was silent except for the sound of chewing and eating, till finally she swallowed her bite.

Olivia shuddered at the noise as she continued to hear the monster chew and bite into her only hope for safety. The cruel Giantess was chomping and bitting as she stood behind the carriage not leaving her spot. It felt like forever as Olivia and Nancy huddled in the carriage listening to that giant beast before them, eating and chewing what was left of her men. Finally after however long it took, the enormous feet got closer. The carriage started to shudder and shake as the horse in front went into a panic, but couldn’t go forward or backwards. They could only neigh and squeal as they were stuck in place. The noises soon were cut short as the sound of snapping and cracking of bones, metal, and wood could be heard and the carriage suddenly stopped shaking.

“Mmm, horse meat, it’s been a while,” The giantess laughed. “This was a good hunt…”

The sound of her voice boomed down from the ceiling as if she were speaking through it to Olivia and Nancy.  She was directly on top of them.  However the sound of wood snapping and metal ripping and tearing clearly told Olivia that she was attacking the front of the carriage where the horses were.  It only took a few moments before the sound of the front of the carriage being destroyed filled the air as it soon grew deadly silent.

Nancy and Olivia stayed still and quiet in the carriage hoping the Giantess would leave them be. She sounded like she might have gotten all the food she needed. It was noiseless and there was no sound except the whistling of the wind.

Olivia went to ask Nancy if the giantess was gone, but Nancy quickly shook her head and put her finger up to her lips to keep her from making a noise. This wasn’t the time to talk. They were still in danger.

Suddenly there was a large knocking sound from the roof of the carriage. Olivia would have thought it was someone stomping on top of it, but everyone was dead. It was the young giantess tapping the roof instead.

“Come on out, our I'll crush you flat,” The giantess told them with an almost delighted tone in her voice. It seemed like she was looking forward to smashing them.

Olivia looked toward Nancy wondering what to do. Nancy slowly nodded as they got up slowly and opened the carriage door. Slowly they got out of the carriage and saw the Young Giantess waiting for them. She was still hovering over the carriage, squatting behind the carriage guarding either side of it depending on which exit they took.  She looked fascinated and really interested in the vehicle they were in.

“I’ve never seen one of these before,” She said, sounding amazed. “So you ride in it?”

The question felt weird being asked, since she just killed Olivia’s protection and attacked them.  The childish behavior was not something she was expecting from such a killer.

“Yes…” Olivia responded.

The giantess seemed to inspect it some more, “So, it’s like a cart, but for people… cool! Okay,” She said, sounding done with examining it. The curiosity of it was now gone and attention was on Olivia and Nancy. “Two of you, perfect, just my luck. With another mouth to feed I was worried, now both mom and her can eat something-” The giantess smiled a happy and delighted grin that betrayed what was happening.

Olivia and Nancy were about to run when the Giantess quickly said, “If either of you run you’re gonna end up like them,” She said, showing off her hip, which hung the two horses she just killed.  Both were attached to her waist, lifeless like the meat they were gonna be used as.  “And him…” She pointed to the soldier she kicked into the back of the carriage. IF Olivia thought he was still alive before, looking at the body after the impact told her she was dead wrong.

Olivia shook in fear at the warning as the giantess went back to reaching for her. Nancy tugged on her arm to try and flee, but Olivia couldn’t. She was shocked in place as the enormous hand reached out for them both. Sadly, Olivia’s inability to make a decision cost them any opportunity to do anything as both Nancy and Olivia ended up being picked up off the ground like two dolls in this young adult’s hands.

The hand wrapping around Olivia was nothing like when Cindy or Melody picked her up. There was no care or sincerity to it as it wrapped around her chest and hips. It was like a giant snake was crushing the life out of her as she couldn't even breath when being lifted off the ground. Just as Olivia thought she was gonna die or pass out, she was released. Olivia collided with Nancy and suddenly the sound fabric closing from above was heard. They were trapped in a cloth bag of some kind.

“Time to head back,” The giantess announced cheerfully at her big haul. It was just before the sound of the carriage being kicked and sent tumbling down the cliff into a billion pieces. The motions of this horrible cruel giantess walking away swayed and smashed Olivia into Nancy as they slid and bounced about.  Both petrified women clueless to where they were going.

All Olivia knew was they were about to be fed to this Giantess’s mom and someone else.

Olivia did her best as she prayed with all her might, “Please… Dagon… help….”
