Author's Chapter Notes:

A scheme sprung, the climax begun.

Tension hung in the air like an anvil held by frayed rope. Delicate, ready to crash down at the most sudden of disturbances, but held on only by the strongest of threads; the reminder that at this time, on this night, a cool head was needed like no other. The journey to Rosen Accessories was quiet, silent, not a single person in the car uttering a word. Yet all present knew they shared the same goal.

A hundred different thoughts were racing through the minds of Lyza, Roxanne, and Maya, though not a single one was spent focusing on the unease similarly felt. That couldn't be risked. The more their daunting tasks were thought about, the more difficult things seemed. It was suffocating. To a point where something actually needed to be said before anyone lost their nerve.

It was Aiden who kept the calmest mind of all, being no stranger to danger, and so was the one who worked up that much needed courage to speak. From his perch atop Maya's shoulders, the murderous redhead having offered herself as a seat he could relax on while Roxanne and Lyza took the front of the car, the beta cleared his throat eager to get everyone's attention.

Despite his seemingly good intentions, the beta was met only with silence. When it became apparent that just Maya responded to Aiden's gesture, her head and eyes shifting ever so gently in his direction upon hearing him, it became clear that he had been mostly ignored.

It made sense. As much as he hated to admit it, this was still something he'd have to deal with.

As small as Aiden was, and as heavy as everyone's duties were this night, a voice as tiny as his would hardly reach inattentive ears. He already knew that it was common practice to more or less guess what a beta was saying, using the context of a situation to fill in any blanks. Unless he was right next to their ears, Aiden was afraid Lyza and Roxanne were just in no state to hear him.

Thankfully Maya was quick to catch the meaning of her One and Only's desire.

“Aiden has something he'd like to say,” the redhead explained as loudly as was needed, her sudden voice having caught her two female companions off guard. They were more out of it then Aiden originally thought, with Lyza especially having appeared as though she'd veered off the road for a moment there. Their stress must've been palpable.

Fortunately their composure was quick to be reestablished, and it was Roxanne who took precedence in addressing any rising concerns while Lyza calmed her nerves. “Sorry about that… We're just a little out of it, I guess… What's up Aiden?”

Try as she might to hide it, Aiden could hear it. Past the question, underneath Roxanne's breath, the Beta could hear the most minor of wavering in the Scientist's voice.

She was scared. Hell, they all were. It'd be more concerning if they weren't.

Here they were, driving right into enemy territory, with the intent of claiming the world yet unsure of their capability to even do so. It was a terrifying prospect, and even someone as naturally chaotic as Maya was beginning to wonder if they had prepared enough for tonight. Then again, perhaps such an answer didn't exist until after everything was said and done…

Aiden had to keep their minds calm about that though. The uncertainty of how everything would end, he'd need to distract everyone from that unanswerable question, all the while making sure they had their eyes on the prize. He had… confidence. As much as one who's lived his sort of life could have anyway.  But confidence could only get a group so far when just one person had it.

He needed to inspire them. Stoke that flame and remind them of why they're all here. All that, while also remaining as subtle as possible.

Easier said than done…

“So… Do you mind running by what we'll all have to do?” Aiden asked, hoping his inquiry would be enough to pull Roxanne's mind away from any rising worries. She was a thinker at heart. Someone who reassured themself through going over the details of an assignment numerous times. The more Roxy reminded herself of what they needed to do, and the steps they took to ensure their victory, then Aiden was confident she'd be able to steel her nerves in the end.

Again, confidence was key here, and while Roxanne was as nervous as the rest of her companions, maybe even more so as many components towards success were of her own design, thinking of her plan did in fact help to paint a picture of their tasks.

Simple though they may appear, easier was often said than done, and Roxanne would need everyone to give this their all if they wanted to live to see tomorrow.

From the floor just in front of the passenger's seat, the Scientist brought up Matthias's laptop; the settings of the currently closed device having been altered to allow full reign of everything on it. More than just the information previously accessed to reveal his backstabbing nature, but also every function installed by its previous owner now belonged to Roxy. And by extension, the companions she's chosen to trust.

“Well, first things first is getting me close enough to Rosen Accessories so that I can access their network,” the scientist explained. “The building’s security systems rely on a wireless port I believe. Everything does these days, so it should be vulnerable to a backdoor attack. And with the applications Matthias added to his old laptop, from there it should be an easy matter of taking care of the cameras…”

“...the hard part though is what comes after that.”

Maya perked up, remembering this portion of the plan. Her addition to be precise. “And that's where I come in, right?” Despite sharing the same, understandable amounts of worry over tonight's events, the crimson haired psychopath couldn't help but feel… giddy. She was back in on the action, free to run her hands red with the blood of the unwilling. Scared though she was in some capacity, it could have very well been overshadowed by a growing, carnal desire.

Roxanne smiled knowingly. “That's right. The cameras, I can take care of indefinitely, but any on site security is going to be suspicious as a result. So… you'll get to have your fun with them~.”

The Scientist looks towards Aiden, her sight faltering momentarily the second she realizes the sort of danger he'd be in. Same as before, he'd be thrown to the wolves; his life very much on the line here once again. More so than ever before really, since many would die to get their hands on him. Were Aiden to be caught… or worse, killed… Roxanne wasn't certain she'd be able to live with herself then.

None of them would.

And yet… the longer Roxanne looked Aiden's way, the more she saw the growing determination in his eyes, did she realize… he wanted this. Small though he was, Aiden has said it plenty of times before that he wasn't just going to be a hindrance. He wanted to prove his worth, one way or another, time and time again.

Roxanne couldn't help but respect that, even if the prospect of his death terrified her to no end. She had no right to deny him the chance to help… even if that meant things ending poorly. They deserved that much. Her face softened, and her eyes moved from Aiden to the car's back.

“In the trunk there are several canisters of an older variation of the beta formula,” The scientist explained. “Stronger than the original and mixed in with the newer, clear variants, it can work in smaller quantities. The downside is that it’ll still be visible, but if we play our cards right no one will notice until it’s too late.”

“There’s Enhanced Antilerin as well, to render us immune to its effects.” Roxanne added. “What I need from you and Maya is to set up those canisters across the first floor of Rosen Accessories. The more you add, the faster everyone inside shrinks before they have a chance to act. And with the lot of them stockpiled in one location, the gas will spread throughout the building at a much quicker rate.”

Quick and effective, that was what they were all relying on.

It was as good a plan as any, Aiden supposed. In that it was all they had at the moment. There was a logic behind it too, that much was clear. The building of Rosen Accessories had a ventilation system similar to the Saint Minerva hospital, and so one canister should be enough to shrink everyone inside. The thing is, due to its size, the gas would travel slowly. The more that was added to the mix meant that it'd reach every corner in no time.

It was good that Maya was restored to a size near identical to her original for this. Maybe a few inches off, she did seem shorter as compared to before, but that's about it. She was now large enough to help, that's all that mattered. And Aiden, it would seem, was to accompany her on her little murder spree; no doubt so that he could reach the tighter, more compact spaces early on. Anything which might normally be out of reach. He was the perfect size for that.

“It sounds simple, I know, but Rosen Accessories is a big building,” Roxanne added. “You and Maya will need to do a lot of moving to take care of everyone. And preferably as quietly as possible. We wouldn't want to overcomplicate anything tonight.”

“About that…” Lyza, up until now, had remained silent, driving as she listened in on the plan. Noticing her lack of a role to play, for good reason, she couldn't help but hold a desire to… take part. In perhaps the best way she knew how. “I might have an idea… that is, if you're willing to listen.”

Her concerns still present, Roxanne thankfully found herself relaxed enough now to humor any additions to her admittedly dodgy scheme. “Do you now? Alright… I'm all ears. What is it?”A wrench thrown in, so long as it wasn't too hazardous, was something that could be handled. Maybe even work with, depending on what it was.

Lyza smiled, excited to throw in her own flare for finally putting her little sister in their place. A night like this, with festivities and theatrics at play, should not be spent in safety, hidden away. It should be taken to where the action would be. The heart of the storm where the world would change.

“I want to attend Lynette's party,” the Designer revealed, taking no time to ease into her demand. “I want to be there when everything falls around her. Her and the people she worked with… I want them all to know who took everything from them.”

The Scientist’s eyes twitched. Once again, Roxanne found her nerves shot. Not just her in fact, as even Aiden and Maya were caught off guard by Lyza's vision.

“You… want to help us… like that?” Maya asked, eliciting a small laugh from her girlfriend.

“No no, nothing like that… I want to be there when they all start to shrink,” Lyza explained, the smile on her face growing wider as she did. “I want them to watch as they get smaller and I get bigger. To give them that sense of dread, to rub in the hopeless of having lost all their precious advantages…it'd be DELICIOUS!”

The Designer's goal was sadistic satisfaction, that much became apparent at a glance. She had a vision, a dream to see through, and just as she was when designing the latest fashion inspired by a fever dream, there was little anyone could say that'd be able to dissuade her from getting what she wanted.

Still, that didn't stop Roxanne from trying.

“Absolutely not,” the scientist said, immediately shutting down any fantasy of sadistic foreplay that might be building in Lyza's head. They were a key player in all this, much like Aiden and far too valuable to let out of sight. And unfortunately for them, unlike the Beta, Lyza wasn't as durable. Were she to get hurt, or caught in the worst possible case, then they'd all be screwed. Roxanne wouldn't let that happen. Not willingly. “Maya and Aiden can take care of the people on top. You on the other hand are staying here, with me. Where it's safe.”

Lyza's smile quickly faded, her mood turning sour. “Oh come on, don't be a spoil sport!” She moaned. “Think about it!”

“I believe I'm the only one who is…” Roxanne retorted sarcastically.

“But just imagine! You want me to take over Minerva's position right?” This could not be denied. It is what made Lyza such an important figure after all. They were the replacement for someone who held the ambition of ruling the world. “Then what better way to show them all who's in charge by just… taking care of the loose ends myself? We all know I'm capable of it. I can get unhinged. I've certainly done my fair share of crimes against betas and people.”

Maya could attest to that. While they weren't quite the killer she was, her girlfriend had no mercy for the poor tinies who found themselves in the middle of their… foreplay. Even remembering them now was enough to make the murderous woman blush. “She does have a point there…”

“Do NOT encourage her!” Roxanne barked. Composing herself, the Scientist ran her fingers through her lush blonde hair, straightening any loose strands that may have begun poking out as her blood pressure rose. “Look… Lyza’s safety is paramount… we can’t risk everything just so she can have a bit of fun…”

Of course they can, and In light of the once more rising tensions Lyza could feel her smile returning. If anything, seeing Roxanne worry so much for her sake was… comforting. She held no delusion that it wasn't because of the role she'd play once everything was said and done, but seeing the scientist try to dissuade her from something that was admittedly illogical was rather sweet.

They were a good friend to have. Caring to those she cared about, cruel to those who got in her way, and possessing a wide range of skills. Roxanne was a wonderful person to know…

That said… Lyza was still stubborn in what she wanted. “Ohhhh Roxy~...” the Designer practically sang, working the scientist's attention towards her.

“...what?”

“Shouldn't you be listening to me more?” The soon to be Queen reasoned. “I mean, if I'm going to rule the world, then shouldn't I get what I want? Preferably when I say I want it?”

A child's logic, and not something to be taken seriously. That was plain to see, and not for a single moment did Roxanne expect Lyza’s reasoning to be even remotely true.

They were toying with her. Teasing.

Trying to poke and prod at her psyche until they had what was wanted. Again, just like a child. But Roxanne was strong of mind. She was smart, and has endured worse than this time and time again.

She was confident over her capability of outlasting any teases and taunts Lyza had. That is… until Roxanne looked to the back seat, noticing Maya too was smiling; the murderous redhead having realized what her lover was doing.

Sweat rolled down the Scientist’s forehead, now understanding she was caught in a pincer attack…

“She's right ya know,” Maya chimed in, cocking her head ever so slightly to the right; bumping her cheek against the top of Aiden's head. “What Lyza wants, Lyza gets. That's already something that's going to happen all the time in the world we're working towards, isn't it?”

“No, that's not-” Roxanne tried to defend against the claim, but she was finding herself outpaced.

“You're absolutely right, Maya.” Lyza cut in, following behind the trail her girlfriend had left for her. “If I say jump, people should ask how high. If I say speak, then I expect a chorus of barks. And if I say I want to go to a party…”

“Then a party you'll have!” Maya practically shouted from her seat, keeping her volume just low enough to prevent Aiden from falling.

She and Lyza shared a glance before laughing at their childish antics, taking joy in having placed Roxanne in such a peculiar spot. They meant no harm in their little game, only wishing to deride the Scientist a bit in response to her overbearing worries. Of course they both understood where she was coming from, and thus would accept if she remained firm in what was chosen. But if Roxanne did change her mind… then all the better for them.

At her wits end, the goading had done its job of whittling away at Roxanne's resolve. It was just stupid to want to take part in something so dangerous. Jeopardizing everything they've worked for, all just to work in some cheap, possibly sexual, thrill. It was insane. Illogical…

But that was them.

As Maya and Lyza continued to, Roxanne took this chance to seek some advice from someone more… mentally sound.

Looking his way, Roxanne saw that Aiden was smiling to himself. No doubt he had been enjoying the show which had unraveled before him.

When he saw the scientist looking his way though, he quickly understood what was going on. Roxanne's magenta eyes scanned over the beta carefully, watching as he shrugged in response to her silent inquiry. “So long as Lyza promises to be safe, I don't see the harm in this.”

He too, it seemed, was just as insane as the rest of them.

That was all Roxanne needed to hear. The confirmation in going through with the very last thing she expected herself to agree with...

“Alright… fine!” The Scientist relented. “You can go… on the condition that you'll stay on the top floor.” Nothing good would come if Lyza went out exploring while security might still be walking around.

None of them could really tell for certain what would happen once everything was set in motion. Even with the best laid out plans, you can never be sure of what the outcome will bring. And to be fair… this was far from an ideal plan.

Still… it was what they had. And if they were all careful, then maybe they'd make it out of this in one piece.

…Wishful thinking when it was needed the most.

Lyza's laughter caught in her throat the moment she heard Roxanne accept her idea. She… honestly expected more of a fight. “Wait… really? As in… you're okay with this?”

“I am anything BUT okay with you putting yourself in danger!” Roxanne corrected, once again raising her voice to demonstrate her discontent here. She hastily calmed down though, following behind the acceptance of both Maya and Aiden. “But… slaughtering anyone that doesn't accept your rule will make for a good deterrent for any future traitors…”

Roxanne supposed she could go as far as to repurpose the cameras of Rosen Accessories. Rather than just turn them off she could set them to record, keeping the footage of what'll happen to anyone that gets in their way. It’d make for a great means of gathering allies, willing or otherwise.

While it wasn't as inconspicuous as she might have hoped… the idea made for a suitable warning to others.

“If you're going to show up to a party, then you're going to need to dress the part,” Roxanne added, wondering just how Lyza was going to pull that off. To her surprise, the Designer didn't appear worried.

“I'm way ahead of you,” Lyza said beaming. “I've got a few options for all of us in the trunk.”

“When did you…”

“I snuck them in when you were done gathering the formula canisters,” the Designer explained, cutting off her confused companion. Understandably, Roxanne was rather annoyed.

“You planned this…” she accused.

Lyza smirked, not at all hiding her intentions. “Just a bit…”

But it'd all be worth it in the end. To see the look on all of those bastards faces, Lynette's most of all, there'd be no greater delight in this lifetime or any other that came after. And best of all was the fact that despite any of their previous hesitations, all in the car knew it. Roxanne, Maya, even Aiden. This… was the highlight of their lives. The culmination of everything they've endured.

Hardships or privileges, it all amounted to this.

What came after would be what was so rightfully earned.

“Oh! That reminds me!” Looking away briefly from the road, Lyza pointed past Maya and towards the trunk of the car. “I had brought something made just for you, Dear! A dress I found from one of my older collections. Bloody red, your favorite color. If I'm going to dress up, then SO are the rest of you.”

Lyza would hear no complaints from anyone. If she was to attend the party, then who's to say her attendants couldn't dress to impress as well?

Maya especially was eager to add some deeper color to her now waiting attire.

The suspense they were all feeling… why, it was to die for…

And plenty would die for it, as when the time came for Maya to have her pound of flesh, she wasted no time in helping herself to the unfortunate victims who were just now waking up underneath piles of what was once their clothing; now bundles of cloth in which they had to push through. If they didn't, then the odds were that they'd find themselves in the hands of a crimson haired she-devil.

Even then, there was no guarantee of safety, and after having become aware of their predicament many began to steadily realize that there was no place which they could flee to.

For some, this truth was quickly accepted. They were easy enough to catch, and easier still to hold on to for later. The urge to run had been lost long before it could even be acquired, and while making for dull prey, Maya doubted they'd taste any different in the end. Those that ran though… the greater majority who thought to extend their lives for a few precious minutes more… they'd be a pleasant source of temporary entertainment. The strugglers, the fighters, they were always fun to deal with.

You just had to catch them first...

And the funny thing in all this was just how easy it had been to infect everyone present.

A vent outside, a small canister to slip within, and all the pieces fell into place. It was like Saint Minerva's all over again… the ease in which an atrocity could be enacted so long as you had the right tools for the job… invigorating. Roxanne had been worried for nothing, and even should someone try to stop the coming massacre… there was little doubt that they'd even be able to get far.

Right now, this group of horrible individuals held all the cards. Anonymity was on their side, and for as long as it was with them the monstrous murderer was as deadly as any beast unchained.

Taking a step forward, Maya wasn't even aware of where it was she was placing her foot, having become lost in deep, blood red daydreams. She only knew she needed to get moving, not to finish up this floor before heading towards the next but to collect her little treats before they all got away. She wanted to savor each and every last one of them while she still had the chance, and so with her mind already fraying, a chorus of low chuckles escaping her lips, it came as no surprise to the salivating psychopath when she felt beneath her heel clad foot… a crunch

Sudden, squelchy, there was no need to imagine what had happened.

Maya smiled from ear to ear as she lifted her foot, taking in the sight of her brief but welcomed accident.

No ceremony or flare into the execution, all that was plastered at the bottom of her sole was the flattened, broken corpse of some security guard whose name would go unspoken. Maya wasn't even sure whether they had been a man or woman, if they were armed or not, or had they been aware prior to everything. Though… she supposed all that mattered little, as regardless of who they had been they were still only just a stain now.

Reaching down to run her finger across the gore, the crimson-haired murderer licked her lips… her whole body shivering as she took in the gruesome sight. Already Maya could feel her loins heating up, and it was all she could do to not give in to any temptations of indulgence. It was much too early for that.

Regardless, this was a sensation she'd never tire of. “Ohhh… I have missed this…” While she hadn't been deprived of her vices when shrunk, there was just something so damn enjoyable about being much larger than her prey. To hold them in your hand, crush them when the desire presents itself. Call it a cat and mouse mentality, but betas were just more fun to play around with this way. And while this far from being a worthwhile trophy, even a kill as quick as this nameless guard was a wonderful introduction to the night ahead.

Unfortunately, Maya's enthusiasm could not be shared.

Feeling an itch from between her breasts, The Serial Killer, through her tattered mind, briefly recalled her little passenger. Past her mixture of giggles and heavy breathing, she had a mind to readjust her dress so as to provide her One and Only some much needed space.

Aiden took this chance to finally breathe, clawing his way out from the gap between Maya's tits. The beta took in a lungful of air, his much needed reprieve having finally arrived, and relaxed once he was out of danger. While suffocation through such means might have been a dream for some, he was intent on staying alive.

He did wish that these sorts of dresses had pockets for someone as small as him to ride in. Perhaps that way Maya wouldn't have chosen such a demeaning place to put him, and while there were certainly other more… intimate areas he could have been dropped, Aiden believed that none felt appropriate for what the redhead planned to do.

Still, anything was better than being placed on the floor with all the other poor bastards in Maya's way. Were that the case, and had her mental faculties left completely, then Aiden couldn't guarantee he'd make it out in one piece. Not with so many other treats running wild, confusing his potential executioner's already fragile mental state.

“S… sorry Aid..en,” Maya apologized, lucidity steadily returning to her the moment she saw the state her favorite beta was in. Her urges were gradually replaced with genuine concern, and though her voice still held bits and pieces of her faltering mentality, Maya was making strides in how quickly she could bounce back from her deplorable urges. And all for the sake of those she loved. “I got… I got carried away again… s… sorry. Are you… okay?”

Aiden felt pride in seeing how fast Maya could recover. Strange as it was to admittedly see, she really was trying to be better for his sake. For Lyza's and Roxanne's as well. And goodness knows it couldn't be easy, what with how easily she's fallen before. But here Maya was, pushing back with ever increasing success.

One couldn't help but be impressed.

And despite the humiliation of having to use his once tormentor's cleavage as a means of transportation, Aiden was glad to announce that, for the most part, he was unharmed. Sweaty maybe, from the close confines of his transportation, but that was about it. It did however drench the suit Lyza had given him, but when compared to past transgressions… that wasn’t all too bad. “Reasonably so, I guess.” The Beta responded. “I don't suppose you could have worn a bra for your getup though?” The lack of one really did work against Aiden's ability to stay still in one spot. Were Maya to move too fast, or angle herself in differing positions, then he could easily find himself overwhelmed here by hundreds of tons of boob flesh. And with what she planned to do tonight… Aiden didn't like his odds. “I'd hate to end up as a stain…”

Maya snickered, glad her One and Only's humor was unchanged despite the heft of their duties. Even if she planned to have some fun with her tasks, they had a lot to deal with all the same. Mania alone couldn't handle everything, and in truth it all seemed overwhelming. Thankfully a sudden hand on Maya's shoulder quickly filled the murderous woman with some much needed confidence.

“Bras with Maya's type of dress don't work,” Lyza explained as she walked on by, giving her stunning girlfriend a quick caress as well as a look over. She had to make sure their fit was perfect after all. Even now, it would not be said that Lyza Vermont made nothing less than the highest grade attire . “Well… not all bras anyway. Some do, of course, buuut I didn't prepare those kinds in the trunk. So you'll just have to endure the bumpy ride for now, Lil Guy~.”

As opposed to Maya, Lyza herself wasn't dressed in anything too fancy. If anything, they were underdressed for their sister's gala.

Having wracked her head over whether she should try to impress those around her or not, ultimately the designer decided she didn't need to go beyond wearing anything besides her regular work clothes.

Business attire that, while still quite fashionable in their own right, were far from appropriate for parties or gatherings. A meager black vest and red pants, both of which worked to complement a fine pair of crimson flats. When put together the whole ensemble accentuated her white hair and red eyes rather nicely, making both pop out. And while everyone else might have been dressed to impress, Lyza decided she'd remain the black goat of her family's companies.

An intentional decision on her part, as this way she'd actually be able to stand out amongst the crowd up top. Once everything was in motion, the whole lot of them would know who it was they should be afraid of.

“That reminds me…” Pulling out a phone from her pocket, Lyza quickly shot Roxanne a confirmation text, letting them know they were free to proceed with the night's festivities. The moment it was sent, everything sprung into action. The vents of the first floor came to life, spreading their sickness while the cameras which decorated the walls fell silent. Their footage would be quickly deleted, and those still working on the top floor should be recording shortly.

That was Lyza's cue to take her leave. She shouldn't keep a crowd waiting. “Maya. You and Aiden take care of the building's upper levels.” The Designer commanded as she made her way to the building's elevators.

Just as had happened with her girlfriend, Lyza didn't bother to look where she was walking, and soon found herself halting the moment she heard a wet crunch underfoot.

Looking down, the towering woman quickly noticed she had stepped on the clothing of a guard that had yet to wake up.

Unfortunate… for them.

While they wouldn't have survived the night even were they conscious, they could have at least lasted a bit longer. Made things fun for Maya.

Not even wanting to deal with the clean up, Lyza only opted to snap her fingers, drawing her Lover's attention towards the mess below. “And TRY not to take too long playing with your food, okay? We're on a tight schedule as is, and you and Aiden still have a lot of people to get rid of.” Lingering attendees and guards alike.

Looking down at Maya's chest, Lyza eyed the beta smothered tenderly between them; more amused then she was jealous over their placement. “Do me a favor Aiden, and make sure she stays on track. I'd hate to hear that things got out of hand the moment I left.”

The beta shrugged, knowing full well that Maya was already growing excited at the thought of having so many lives to herself. Reeling her in would be no easy feat for even a normal sized person. Aiden wasn't even sure how he'd be able to manage such a task …

Still… he was confident he'd be able to get further than most. “I only promise to try.” The Beta replied with a knowing smile.

In the end that was good enough for Lyza.

She departed, waving off her two companions, the last thing seen being how Maya's maniacal smile returned, a haze washing over their eyes as their attention returned to the floor.

Lyza's heart went out to Aiden. The poor little guy would need to keep his head on straight to keep his escort on a leash. Otherwise Maya might just rip it off.

But that was his fight. Lyza’s was waiting at the top of this damned building…

Chapter End Notes:

So, this chapter was originally supposed to be longer, but with all the cut aways I'd have to do I just decided to split the latter part of this one and include it in the next. Woulda also been too long otherwise.
