Author's Chapter Notes:

Sometimes we need time to think for ourselves. Of the future, and of those we hold in our lives. We never really stop thinking about either of those two things.

A warm bath to wash away the stress that were these past few months. Shrunken lover in hand, with lavender scented candles helping to melt away the tension.

It was all Lyza could ask for after all the burdens she’s been forced to deal with in recent history. The tension that had become so common in her life, a result of forces beyond her control, just amounting to ever growing stress. She just wanted for it all to just leave her body, preferably accompanied by rising steam.

Were she to close her eyes now she could even picture herself back home, relaxing in her own bathroom. A fantasy, yes, but hopefully one that would not remain beyond her reach.

It was humiliating to be forced so low in life, to fear for it at every waking moment; and so the quicker the old status quo was restored the better. While the Designer was of a strong enough spirit, sterner stuff than most others in her position, even she had her limits. Despite having kept a relatively calm mind over events current and past, Lyza would be lying to herself if she didn't wish for some good news at this point. Something, anything, that made it seem as though all the struggling, the hardships, would be worth it in the end.

But such news is scarce these days. A luxury that just could not be afforded. So she prayed. For maybe one of the few times in her life, Lyza silently wished to some higher power that whatever Roxanne and her 'friend' had discovered would be the edge they all needed to get through… this

Lyza didn't care much for the scientist’s accomplice, Matthew.

Or ‘Matthias’, as they preferred.

A bloated name, an alias, for a man whose ego nearly outweighed their intellect. Though they had their uses, helping in strides what would have taken the group forever to do alone, Matthias divulged only what he believed was necessary in terms of knowledge. He withheld information at a rate far too inconsistent for the Designer's liking. Even when the smallest of details might work in the group's favor, he said next to nothing. A condescending soul. Rude.

In some ways, a reflection of Lyza’s own attitude when dealing with ineptitude. Perhaps that’s why his words wounded her so heavily when he spoke against her. It was as though she were criticizing herself. That said, comparisons not standing, at least she wasn’t so self-important that she’d denounce another’s opinions on the claim that she was ‘simply smarter than them’. Such a teeth grinding assertion, made to have her appear dull of mind, was infuriating.

Of course, Roxanne insisted that she bear with any sort of conniptions, no doubt as a way to keep her accomplice safe. There was a target on her fellow Researcher's head after all. Same as the rest of them.

They were in this together, all of them. Roxanne stuck her neck out for Matthias, just as she would for Lyza, shielding either of them from any jabs they might have. Working as a mediator, keeping a sort of shaky peace, while not being one of the Scientist’s skills, was a much needed trait. They all needed to remain on friendly terms, work together if they were all to survive. Whether it was Lyza’s skills in running a business or Matthias’s intellect, they needed to cooperate. They’d all do well to remember that.

So for now, and only because of Roxanne's insistence on teamwork, Matthias was trusted.

He would play his part, and hopefully deliver something of use in the future. Just as Lyza gave him this opportunity, he would do well to try and impress her; that is if they were all serious in her taking charge of her Sister’s position. Just as she was to stay in his good graces, he would do well to stay in hers.

Like Roxanne, her handpicked ally was a scientist as well. Though not nearly as intelligent as the former, Matthias proved smart enough to earn the eyes of many a noteworthy figure.

Figures such as Josephine Minerva, who through her own influence was able to employ both Roxanne and Matthew under the same projects. Such projects, of course, included the bedrock which would form the foundation for the Beta Epidemic. Were there any other individuals who could be of aid in this ever changing world, uncovering the secrets and usages of the virus that developed beta-kind, Lyza could think of none more suited than those two.

Were they to be left to their own devices, their seemingly endless studies and work, the two scientists could no doubt accomplish more than the average researcher might in a lifetime. Hell, Roxanne alone was already a one in a billion mind; a once in a several lifetimes genius. Together, with a peer of near similar intellect, they could be a terrifyingly advanced force.

As such, they were good allies to have.

Though, in Roxanne’s case, a little bit more than just an ally. More than an accomplice as well. Together, they’ve already been through enough. At this stage in their lives, Lyza might even consider Roxanne a friend; as strange as it may sound considering how they first met. With the at the time shrunken down scientist, thrown into the Designer’s salivating maw, threatened to be eaten if they didn’t comply with what Lyza wanted to hear. A harrowing situation that inevitably bore fruit.

And as a bonus, Lyza did come to enjoy Roxanne's company. Always informative, that one, even when Matthias chose to withhold anything of importance, it would be Roxanne who filled in any lingering blanks. While he thought it best to leave the thinking to the 'thinkers', dear Roxy saw it best to teach her group what they didn't know. Advance their minds, bring them up to speed with certain developments. A worthwhile endeavor, considering the goals they all shared. She was carrying her weight as best as she could, making up for… any bridges burnt.

But as useful as they were, and as desired as any bit of information was, this serenity was yearned for almost as much. Doomsday could come at any moment now, but were they to always worry themselves over present issues than they’d never be able to prepare for the future threats.

So for now, while the chance was still fresh and alive, Lyza only wished to relax with her sweet, shrunken girlfriend; allowing the world to just fade away. No troubles, no worries, just the moment that allowed for this stillness of mind, body, and spirit.

"Bath’s not too hot for you, Love?" Lyza asked.

The Designer made sure that the water was just the right temperature for both herself and her sweet little Maya before stepping in. She was certain it was perfect for a body as small as theirs. Even Aiden, at his far more vulnerable size, would find it pleasant no doubt. Still, one can never be too cautious when caring for people so small. When it came to the two Beta's well-being, no precaution was too great. "Tell me if you're not comfortable, okay? I'll see what I can do to help with that."

A promise that Maya would no doubt make fair use of in the future. She’s already done so before, on several occasions.

Despite their living situation restricting them to an old garment factory that had been refashioned into a makeshift home, Lyza did what she could to make life just a little more pleasant for her two favorite Betas. She used what money she was able to quietly gather from her bank account to buy them a quality portable house. Though it was unfortunately of her Sister's brand, Lyza chose to grit her teeth and bear with it. If anything, the last thing they’d expect was their older Sister buying one of their products. Lyza even went so far as to provide them both with clothes to wear.

Handmade of course, as was her specialty.

Whatever they needed, Lyza took the time to provide it. Even if it meant having to stall the eventual reckoning that was Lynette's downfall.

Even at the cost of her own personal time, Maya and Aiden would want for nothing. Even now, as Lyza was effectively cut off from the greater sum of her own funds for fear of discovery, she promised to provide them that much.

A chuckle was heard, followed by the sound of splashing water in the comparatively undersized tub. While a commodity too small for Lyza, it was akin to a lake for one as small as Maya. Leg room was in abundance for them, and it would likely take great effort to reach the bottom of the tub in a single breath. Even at a height of twelve inches, the deepest point was still a ways off. A stark reminder of just how large 'regular' people were to a shrunken down beta on the 'higher end’ of size scales. That said, despite being surrounded by so much water while so small, it hardly bothered the pint-sized serial killer. She was quite adept at swimming, and could drift on gentle waves created by her Girlfriend's shifting body as much as she wished. It was a pleasure to feel so at ease despite overwhelming vulnerability. A stark contrast to so many that have been shrunken down over the years.

And should she grow tired there was always the shore that was her god-like Lover's body in which she could rest on. It was the very definition of perfection. Luxury despite remaining at a size equal to a doll.

"I'm fine," Maya assured as she floated on her back, eyes closed yet aware of just how near she was to the living, breathing shore. "This is something I definitely needed…"

Lyza could only agree.

The warm water was like anodyne upon Maya's aching body. The pain and numbness from the conflict months prior eased up significantly. The stinging, stabbing, aches were a usual constant that the little Killer had to grow used to. They would not go away any time soon, if at all. In these quiet moments, however, she could almost forget about them. Relaxation of any sort was as much a miracle medicine than anything actually prescribed. "Aiden would have loved this…"

A pity the smallest Beta of their numbers was also the most stubborn of them all. It would have been wonderful for him to join the two towering women, that is if he wasn't so adamant on his own personal time.

Oh, the fun they could have then

But Maya would respect his decisions. His choices. She would not push, nor would Lyza. They had come to accept that, in these moments, there was only their imagination with which they could rely on; allowing them to picture such a scenario where Aiden might actually enjoy finding himself in such a position. In reality, an impossibility.

But people can dream.

"I mean, I can understand his reasons." Lyza explained as she adjusted herself. She moved her knees just underneath Maya, gently raising her pint-sized girlfriend out of the water with her legs. Keeping herself still, she made sure the smaller Beta was as comfortable as can be, not allowing for the risk of them falling into the water. "We never really made things easy on him. Despite all we’ve put Aiden through, we really only succeeded in putting him off from anything really… similar to the things we enjoy."

Lyza didn’t need to say it outright for Maya to understand. They were both at fault for turning Aiden away from the more sexual advantages of being so small.

Neither of them were blind. They knew such pleasures existed.

And they knew Aiden cared for little of it.

Though many would kill to be in the smallest Beta's shoes, he was not all too keen on the "privileges" his stature provided him. Aiden wasn't lustful, he didn't have any interest in the possibilities towards anything carnal. He wasn’t easily swayed by looks, be they of man or woman. Aiden simply worked with what he had; and what he had was his miniscule height around giant, admittedly gorgeous, women. A placement that, to many, was going underappreciated.

"Honestly, in some ways, I can respect that." The Designer admitted. Maybe deep down, or in the future, Aiden could develop such 'tastes'. Interests. He might learn to love the larger things in life. But in the present, the here and now, it was clear he didn't take to internal desires as quickly as others would. Certainly not as quickly as Lyza and Maya did. It was admirable, in a way, to keep yourself in control of the one thing that might offer pleasure, despite the odds stacked against your favor. Not wanting to restrict your life to solely that singular purpose, as some toy for another’s pleasure. "It takes a strong mind to keep someone like Aiden together, especially after all we did. More than once, we’ve made his life a living hell. "

Maya couldn’t help but agree, recalling and reminding her girlfriend of the numerous times they've made an 'attempt' on the smaller Beta's life. From stepping on him, to sitting on him, to nearly eating or crushing him, there was just no end to the trauma Aiden was forced to endure. It was strange to think that now, despite his newer vulnerability, he was stronger than ever.

That said, this did not mean he wasn’t undeserving of some respite. “That mental fortitude of his is nothing to scoff at.” By all accounts, it was a miracle his mind remained intact at all.

Though judging by his willingness to stay with those who tried to make his life unbearable, maybe such a claim wasn't so sound. The smallest Beta might be a kook yet.

“If only he wasn’t so damn stubborn.” Maya could already feel her body tingle at the thought of her One and Only’s stubbornness. Tantalizing. Delicious… “He has no idea how hard it is to hold myself back when he gets all… uppity~.”

"Let him be stubborn." Lyza remarked with a chuckle. “Little Guy’s more than earned it, I'll say.” There was truth to that. Aiden deserved whatever rest he received.

In many ways, Lyza regretted much of her actions against the smallest beta; in part due to her own growing affection towards them. It seemed deplorable now, the threats and torment, and yet… despite all that, Lyza wasn't certain if she'd take any of it back. It was horrible to admit, she held no illusion that it wasn’t. But the Designer will admit, there was enjoyment in it all. Enough to where she couldn't say that, were the possibility to present itself to her, she would not repeat old actions. Despite the course her life has taken, the ups and downs, If she were to arrive at this point again, where it meant that she could be with the people she actually cared about, then she very well might do so.

If they all managed to survive through these troubled times, even more so.

Of course, nothing Lyza did could compare to what Maya had done to her dear One and Only. There was a mountain of regret they no doubt felt, conflicted against the mental minefield that was the psychopath's mind. Her thoughts, her inner voices, her very nature was a threat to one as small as Aiden, and yet she was still kept in far better graces than others.

Maya has committed terrible deeds. Taken the lives of both the innocent and vile. People who deserved it and many more who did not. The only one she ever regretted killing though was her beloved Aiden, and she knew very well there was no taking that back. There was no trying to hide the monster she was.

She’s accepted that about herself. That deep down, such a fact would never change.

Even then however, when looking at such terrible crimes, the notorious serial killer was placed in even higher esteem than another. Someone who might not even deserve greater hate than anything which should properly be received unto Maya. One whose actions, while terrible, were nothing compared  to the handcrafted Hell she had created.

"It's strange, isn't it…" Lyza repositioned herself once more, raising her legs and allowing Maya the opportunity to slide down the smooth path that was the Designer's full length. A short trip given her size, but one that inevitably came to a stop at the base of Lyza's pelvis. A patch of land which placed Maya before the snow-white bush of her much larger Girlfriend. A perfect match for their soaking hair, as well as an unintended display of power. To move so casually, to have repositioned someone with a killstreak as large as Maya’s without effort; there were few words which could be said to encapsulate what the doll-sized Beta felt.

All she knew was that Aiden, despite his stubbornness, was missing out on so many wonderfully captivating opportunities.

That said, she was not placed here for pleasure. Though it was indeed a tempting thought to toy with Lyza's lower lips, all it was on the Designer’s end was her own unconscious movement. She unintentionally brought her little lover closer to what so many across the years had been denied. Suitors that never measured to her standards; bested by those who were arguably the lowest standards of all.

Propping her soap soaked feet atop the tub's edge, Lyza only thought on how, logically, Aiden should hold every reason to loathe both her and Maya. More so than others. Yet, against all that is sane in the world, he did not. "I'm honestly rather surprised it’s Roxanne who Aiden’s pissed with."

Holding the Scientist in such low esteem that he didn’t want anything to do with her.

Of course, were the Designer in his shoes, the sentiment might very well be shared. Aiden made no secret as to what his feelings were in regards to past events. Being tricked into journeying to Lynnette's home, deceived into believing he was providing some form of aid. The Beta had seen such a moment as a chance to prove his worth regardless of his size, of how he was treated before, and yet despite being thrown into the very center of Hell it was soon revealed that Roxanne was already aware of much of what was learned. She could have saved him, everyone, so much trouble had she just shared what she knew. While some things might have been learned, things even Roxy wasn’t privy to, the wound was still deep.

But that was not the worst of it. Trust soiled, a friendship severed. Aiden enjoyed Roxanne's company, before all this had to happen. He liked sharing an apartment with her, confiding in her, talking, speaking his mind as though he were an equal. She understood his situation better than many others, having been in shoes astonishingly similar to his own.

It was all enjoyable. It made him feel… normal.

There was a vulnerability in it all. A weakness of character that was ultimately exploited.

Again. For the second time in Aiden's life, his trust in someone else nearly got him killed, and though he was no stranger to death, maybe even believing the embrace to be welcoming in time, the betrayal still stung regardless of whatever the Scientist's intentions were.

“I had to say it, but Aiden might be getting familiar with that form of betrayal.”

How many more times would Aiden have to endure being backstabbed? How much more hardship will he have to go through before finding some damn peace in his life?

"I feel sorry for her," Maya admitted as she finally managed to tear her gaze away from Lyza's bleached muff. If there was one person who understood what it might be that Roxanne was being forced to experience, it would be her. “Aiden’s being unfair in giving Roxy the cold shoulder. If he’s willing to work with someone like me, then there’s little excuse for his treatment of her.”

Breaking trust was something they had in common. Ruining the world, making a mess of people’s lives; there was sympathy felt in regards to Roxanne’s plight.

"He’s making her start from scratch," Maya explained. "Begin again, just like with me. The thing is, she doesn’t need to. At least… I don’t think so. Roxanne has been kind to Aiden. She lied, sure, but compared to what I've done, that's nothing.”

"That’s not a decision for you to make." Lyza remarked. She reached down between her legs, inching her fingers behind Maya’s back before giving the beta a gentle massage. “It’s theirs, and whatever Aiden and Roxanne have to deal with, that’s between them. Just as it was for you and him.”

A fair statement to make, though one that did not settle well with the Serial Killer. Who’d have thought that one day Maya would be the sympathetic one. Having just worked her way back into Aiden’s semi-good graces, she wasn’t sure how to take it when seeing his ire directed at someone else. Someone who, in a cruel twist of fate, was in much the same boat she was.

“My advice? For now, let things play out as they will and hope that their relationship improves. That’s worked out before in the past, you can attest to that I’m sure. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work a second time.”

Lyza on the other hand was intent on keeping out of Aiden’s business. Whether this was out of respect or simply not caring, Maya couldn’t say for certain. She knew the Designer to have a decent relationship with Roxanne, and a remarkably improving one with Aiden as well. Despite having a relatively positive relationship with both though, Lyza only seemed keen on letting things resolve themselves.

In some capacity, Maya can understand why. They weren’t willing to concern themselves with matters that didn’t directly involve them. Providing Aiden and Maya with comfort was one thing, but Lyza was no relationship counselor. Hell, her only real relationship began with Maya, so already that was a telling sign of how poor any advice she might give would be. For now, she would let things progress naturally. It worked with Maya, so she suspected it might be the same for Roxanne. So long as everyone continued to work together, she was content as is.

"Rather than worry about Roxy, how about you worry about yourself. How is your relationship with Aiden?" Lyza asked. Crossing her legs, she removed her fingers from behind Maya’s back, keeping her shrunken girlfriend secured between her thighs. There was not an inch of room spared for them. Not a chance at escape.

Maya looked to her gargantuan Lover, her better half, and took notice of their inquisitive expression. "What about it?"

As though Lyza really needed to say it out loud. “Come on, you know well enough what I mean.”

Maya didn’t care for such questions. Mostly because… she understood where they were coming from.

Despite much of Aiden's current ire focusing against Roxanne, did that stand to mean Maya no longer was the source of much of his trauma? Was she finally, after so long of wishing for it, forgiven?

No. She couldn't be. He said so himself.

They both knew that.

"You and Aiden are on better terms, I won’t deny it, but we both know there are still some darker patches that the two of you need to deal with." The Designer wouldn’t cut corners with what she needed to say. Not with Maya.

Especially Maya.

A truthful statement, one proven repeatedly each time Lyza was forced to keep Aiden away for the night; safely in her embrace while Maya dealt with her own mental demons. That alone already proved that regardless of where their relationship stood currently, the smallest beta will always find himself in a precarious situation so long as his original tormentor was around. “I don’t mean to be an ass about it, but before giving out any advice for Roxy, I recommend dealing with those lingering issues that might remain between yourself and your precious ‘One and Only’.”

Though Lyza asked to not be viewed as such, Maya couldn’t help but picture her colossal Girlfriend as… well… an ass. One that was, regrettably, right on the money with her assessment. Some issues still remained. Problems Maya wanted more than anything to clear up now before things got out of hand. Were she bigger, near her original size, than things might have already. This dollish size of hers now was a privilege that aided in keeping herself calm, though as it has become clear even that is not a permanent solution. Maya still held a considerable height advantage over Aiden, and if she proved careless, letting her slip into a state of madness for even a few minutes, that could prove very dangerous for him.

Fatal even

But Maya was better than that. She had to be.

That’s what she promised.

What her and Aiden had now was temporary, at best. Something that could go away regardless of their victory or defeat in the future. She only needed to hold onto her more manageable mental state until then.

Maya loved the moments she could spend with Aiden now. Truly, she did. It was like a wonderful blast from the past. A point in which she could find herself experiencing again the first time she actually felt loved. Those times before Alphas or Betas, before bigs and smalls, before Lyza, Lynette, Roxanne and… everything really. She wasn’t disillusioned, she knew these feelings were extremely one-sided. Still, she only wished they could last as long as possible.

But even if they didn’t, were her first love to disappear from her life all together again… that was something she had to be ready for as well.

"I know where Aiden and I stand," Maya stated solemnly. "I’m not childish enough to think I've completely made up for everything I did to him. God no. I still have a ways to go, I know that. But even were Aiden to go away, I'll never stop trying to be the better me I promised to be. "

If anything, despite what the future may hold, Maya was just glad to have even an iota of trust bestowed upon her by someone she tormented so relentlessly. While a seemingly small gesture, it was enough for her to move forward. She was certain it would do the same for Roxanne, should they earn that privilege as well. Even if she wasn't certain as to what awaited them all in the end, she would meet whatever it was, head first and with a smile.

It was as good a response as any that Lyza was going to get. In truth, she wasn't entirely sure how she felt about the possibility of Aiden leaving Maya's life, and by extension her own. The former loved him obsessively. And Lyza… she liked him too. Maybe not on the level as her Girlfriend, but enough that there'd be an emptiness without his presence. She appreciated what he's done; the risks taken for their benefit. Aiden had worth. Far more than the average pest.

For now though, the Designer wouldn't press further. Maya was still coming to terms with that possible future, and Lyza didn't wish to think on it further. Instead, she'd focus on the now. Releasing her hold on Maya, she seized the doll-sized Beta in between her fingers; bringing them up to the bathtub's edge before setting them to rest.

Without word or warning, Maya's face was engulfed by the plush of Lyza's lips. The peck was quick, though there was a brief moment where the Designer's tongue showed itself. An indication towards taking this quick smooch into a more passionate route.

"Well, for what it's worth, I think you’ve made some good strides so far. Not everyday does someone sleep with their literal murderer."

Then again, when it came down to it, there was little Aiden could do to prevent that. The portable house only had one bedroom…

Another kiss in and Maya found her face slathered with the spittle of her god-like Lover. It clung to her greedily, made heavier through the addition of the water that was already present on their body.

And right after she had just been pulled free from the bath too…

Still, the gesture was appreciated, as were Lyza's words. Even if Aiden were to just go away, at least Maya would always have her better half. Though by no means a good influence on her moral compass, the Designer always proved a comfort in trying times. A stern voice when needed, a loving embrace when desired. That alone spoke volumes for the effect Lyza had on Maya's mental state.

Eventually, the two women found themselves at a point where they knew they'd overstayed their time in the bath. It was good and good to relax when able, muse on the future as well as their relationships with those close to them. But one can only do that for so long while remaining… unwrinkled. That said, Lyza was keen on extending her stay in the water for as long as possible. Though she’s said what’s been on her mind, the Designer wasn’t done quite just yet.

"How about we skip breakfast, lunch, dinner, or whatever the hell it is for today?" Lyza asked, sulking against the bathtub's edge as her toy sized Lover watched on with a hint of amusement. They knew that once Lyza found herself comfortable, she’d wanna extend that sensation for as long as possible. "We could always just stay here, you know. Lounge around a bit longer, forget about our worries."

All this talk of relationships and life or death situations was really putting a damper on the mood. There were still knots Lyza wished to get out of her back, and there was no remedy for that quite like a warm bath. Were she to leave now, that'd just mean returning to her overbearing duties. Her plotting and planning; all geared towards revenge against her own flesh and blood. While Lyza's gone about things as strongly as she can, she still had her limits. She needed her breaks.

“I just do not wanna leave right now…”

Lyza, for once, was more than willing to risk an empty stomach if it meant she could force in at least a few extra minutes of peace.

"I'm honestly weighing if I should just call Roxanne and ask her to pick something up for us to eat…" Lyza explained as she slumped deeper into the tub. So many things occurring in such short frames of time, back to back with hardly a break in between; it was tiring.

Of course, as with some things, some desires just aren’t met. Already, in a room opposite of the bath’s, Lyza could hear her phone going off. The one Roxanne had made just for her.

Now more than ever, she wished for there to be a way to mute those damn devices.

"Guess that’s our cue to get out.” Maya remarked with a snicker. A Shame, but some things just couldn’t be avoided.

Though there was nothing stopping Lyza from trying her hardest.

Before Maya had a chance to gather her bearings, she found her torso seized once more as the Designer began to sink deeper into the tub. She made no attempt to struggle, and even if she did there was little in ways of an actual escape. Fingers wrapped around her body, she already knew what was happening.

Maya couldn’t help but chuckle as she looked upon her Girlfriend’s pouting face. “Let me guess. You’re going to risk a while longer?”

“I said I don’t wanna leave right now,” Lyza explained. “So… I won’t.”

News be damned, Lyza was going to risk this pleasure even if it meant Matthias calling her a spoiled brat.

A childish compromise, though one Maya couldn’t do anything against. And seeing as no one was around that could force Lyza’s hand… well, she supposed she was just forced to go along with the flow. With a shrug, the doll-sized serial killer allowed herself to be taken into her towering Girlfriend’s embrace; placed in between modestly sized breasts that now, compared to her short stature, seemed akin to sizable mounds.

“Look…” Lyza paused, uncertain over how she should proceed. As things stood now, for the foreseeable future it appeared as though it would be them against the world. Aiden and Roxanne were free to walk off if they so wished. They wouldn’t be stopped from doing so. But Lyza and Maya were a different story. “Whatever may happen, and regardless of what you think about yourself, I want you to know that I'm not going anywhere. Okay? Should we all survive this or not, you don’t have to worry about dealing with things alone.”

“Just like how you promised to do better for Aiden, I promise to be there to see things through with you.”

For a moment there, Maya was certain she felt her heart skip a beat. She wished she was bigger. Large enough to show her appreciation over such kind words. For now though, with the state she was in, the best she could manage was nestling more closely against Lyza’s breasts. Deeper into their softness, and by extension the slow, methodical beating of their heart.

The Designer was scared.

Despite what’s been said, and possibly born of as a result, Lyza was uncertain of what the future may hold for them. And that terrified her in ways she couldn’t verbally describe. She fought for all that she was worth, but no one is ever certain if such struggles might amount to anything in the end. These moments of silence… Lyza wasn’t sure if she’d be able to enjoy them even a year from now.

Still, they would fight. All of them, from Aiden to Roxanne, if not for each other than for themselves. Win or lose, there was only one way forward.

“You’ll make good on your words, Lyza.” Despite the odds stacked against them, and the fear their Girlfriend felt, Maya already felt that the future had already been secured in their favor. “Of everyone I know, you’re the last person I'd suspect of leaving me.”

Monsters deserved monsters, and even if these women were by all means terrible people… their love for each other was not. Even should the worst come to pass, theirs was an immutable truth that would never be tested.

One that was fit to challenge all odds they may face.

Chapter End Notes:

Note: I had some help with this one. If you're familiar with the Eldritch Sweethearts series than I'd like to thank a certain Salamander

A longer wait for this chapter than expected, but like I said a large part of my writing focus is going to revolve around completing Alpha-Beta. Leave some thoughts, a rating and review maybe. Whatever tickles thine fancy. Did say in the previous chapter that I am thinking on some things, so may as well come clean about them now.

I am working on the possibility of taking commissions. Ain't ever done those before, but with college bearing down with its textbooks and paid accounts (screw those, seriously) I think I've finally found myself backed into a corner. Of course news on that won't have to wait until the next chapter, I already know how long my upload periods are, so anything in relation can probably be asked/found on The Giantessworld discord server or through a DM. Still got things to work out though, like payment plan and all those probably crucial details, so take that into consideration if you're interested.

Tag's viper8899 if you're curious. Or you can just email me. That works too.

Til next time my fellow degenerates, PEACE!!!
