Cynthia and Olivia had finally finished bringing in all the boxes from the moving truck into their new apartment. The non-identical twin sisters had been virtually inseparable their whole lives, and it came as no shock to anybody that they had decided to rent an apartment together while they attended university. Cynthia had long flowing brown hair and emerald green eyes. It was rare to find Cynthia without a smile on her face, highlighted by her bright red lipstick. Olivia was quite the piece of eye candy herself. Her hair was short, blonde and slightly curly, complemented by her piercing blue eyes you could nearly recognize a mile away. Both sisters were quite tall, standing at about 5'11 with Olivia ever so slightly being the taller of the two. Simply put they were gorgeous and took care of their figures, throughout high school many boys had pined after them yet none were successful. Cynthia had notoriously high standards, and Olivia was a closeted lesbian with Cynthia being the only one who knew.

After a few hours of unpacking and rearranging furniture, Cynthia and Olivia were exhausted and flopped down on their couch. Classes didn't start for another week, so they had time to settle into their new place. Olivia glanced out the window at the city, they had lived in a small town previously and she was enthralled by the sights. "It really makes you feel rather insignificant, doesn't it?" she said. "What do you mean?" asked Cynthia. "You know, the city, all the people and tall buildings, you kinda just blend into the crowd. Back home everyone knew everyone and it was great" explained Olivia. Cynthia looked out the window as well. "I dunno, I really like the city. More people to meet and things to do" she replied. Olivia was beginning to feel homesick, but was comforted by the fact she still had her sister by her side. Cynthia could tell Olivia was upset and wanted to try and cheer her up. Cynthia grabbed Olivia's legs and pulled them towards herself, resting Olivia's feet on her lap. She began to massage and rub them. Olivia giggled quietly and began to relax. "I knew this would work" joked Cynthia.

Both twins were oblivious to the fact they were not alone in their apartment. Far from it. Embedded within the carpet of their living room was a rather peculiar object. It was quite small, no larger than a sesame seed, so neither of the twins noticed it while they set up their apartment. This object was actually an entire planet, home to billions of nanoscopic humanoids. The planet was very technologically advanced, far outpacing the scientific advancements of our world. The planet was also inhabited entirely by females, once they had discovered artificial reproduction they evolved beyond the need for males. The planet, known to it's inhabitants as Parvus, had become stuck in the carpet the day before the twins moved in. They were teleporting the planet across the universe looking for a safe place, but once they wound up in the carpet they found themselves unable to get it out. The women of Parvus knew their fate was likely sealed once they heard a deafening boom earlier that day when Cynthia and Olivia first entered the apartment. Luckily for them, they had managed to avoid being obliterated by either twin despite them moving around the apartment all day, but there were some close calls. At one point, Olivia's left foot stood over the planet for several minutes, her arch looming over Parvus as if it were taunting them. Although they survived for now, the women of Parvus knew they wouldn't last long with two mega titans roaming around. Something had to be done, so they quickly got to work on a solution.

After a few minutes of massaging her sisters feet, Cynthia got up. "Well I'm starving, I'm gonna go check out that burger place across the street. You want anything?" she asked. "Sure, I'll have a cheeseburger" said Olivia. Cynthia nodded as she put on her jacket and left. Olivia sighed as she stared mindlessly at the TV. She was excited to attend university with her sister but still felt uneasy living in a big city for the first time. After a moment, she got up from the couch to get a glass of water, when all of a sudden she felt lightheaded. "What the hell?" she muttered to herself as the room started to spin and she began to lose her balance. She dropped the glass of water on the carpet and her vision went blank as she passed out. Olivia woke up moments later in a panic. She was in a dark room and could hear murmuring through the walls. "Hello?" she called out and as soon as she spoke the murmuring stopped. The door to the room suddenly opened and a woman in a large white lab coat entered while carrying a notepad. "You must be Olivia" she said bluntly. "Uh, yea, what happened?" she said, very confused. The woman looked at Olivia as she handcuffed her. "You are under arrest for the near destruction of Parvus" she said as she began to escort Olivia out of the room. "Near destruction of what? What the fuck are you talking about? Is this a prank?" she stammered, trying to resist began taken away. Her efforts were futile, as she was escorted into another room with nothing more than a table and 2 chairs. "Sit" demanded the woman as she now handcuffed Olivia to the table. Still confused but now mostly terrified, Olivia obliged and sat down. The woman left the room. Olivia began to breath rapidly as she started to panic, she would never hurt a fly so why was this random lady accusing her of trying to destroy?

After a few minutes another woman entered the room. She smiled at Olivia as she sat in the adjacent chair. "Nice to meet you Olivia. My name is Narovi. I'm sure you have several questions and I'm here to answer them" she said softly. Olivia attempted to collect herself. "Where am I? What happened? What's this 'Parvus' thing I apparently almost destroyed?" she asked. "Parvus is a planet, that's where you are now. But despite being on another planet, you haven't actually traveled far. In fact, you never left your apartment" explained Narovi. "Ok now I just have even more questions" said Olivia, exasperated. "Parvus is, to you, a very small planet. So small in fact, that we are currently in your apartment's carpet. We got trapped here yesterday and we are working on a way out, but until then I'm afraid you and your twin pose quite the serious threat to us. So we got to work on a superpowered size altering ray, which we fired at you. We were going to shrink your sister down too, but unfortunately the energy it required to shrink someone of your size to ours completely fried the machine, so unfortunately we're still in a rough spot" Narovi continued. Olivia stared blankly at Narovi as she tried to process the information. It made no sense to her. "So why am I under arrest then?" she asked. Narovi handed a picture to Olivia. "Does that look familiar to you?" Narovi inquired. Olivia looked carefully at the picture. "Not really, it just looks like skin" she replied. "That picture was taken earlier today. It's the bottom of your foot as it towered over our planet. That is the near destruction you caused. Had you stood just a few inches back, we'd cease to exist now" said Narovi. "That was accidental though! I didn't even know this planet existed until just now!" cried Olivia. "Hey, I agree, I don't think you should have been arrested, but unfortunately a lot of people on Parvus think shrinking you down wasn't enough and they want to throw you in prison. You're going to be put on trial, and I'm your attorney" Narovi told Olivia. Olivia slumped back in her chair. Narovi looked down glumly. "I'm sorry, but I tried my hardest to persuade them against it. It was no good. However, I can assure you I'm the best lawyer on the planet, so let's prepare for the tri-" Narovi was cut off by the ground trembling and a booming slam echoed throughout the entire planet.

"I'm back!" said Cynthia as she closed the door and placed the bag of burgers on the kitchen counter. Cynthia looked puzzled when she didn't see Olivia. "Sis? You here?" she asked, and received no answer. Cynthia quickly became concerned, and that concern grew as she spotted the spilled glass of water on the ground. She walked towards and and bent down to see if there was anything unusual, but all she saw was some tiny blue thing in the carpet that she didn't think twice about. "Ok, relax Cynthia, maybe she just went for a walk, no reason to panic. If she doesn't show up in an hour, then call someone" she told herself. Cynthia picked up the glass and placed it on the counter. She took off her shoes and grabbed her burger from the bag and sat down on the couch, still telling herself that Olivia was probably fine and to not freak out yet.

Olivia could see her sisters shoe far in the distance through a window in the room she was in. That's when it set in that Narovi was telling the truth and she had indeed been shrunk down. Her heart sank as she watched her, praying that she wouldn't step on the planet. Olivia wanted to yell out for her, but she knew it would be futile. "Please, tell them to unshrink me, I'll make sure your planet will stay safe, I promise" she pleaded. "I doubt they'd go for that, and besides, the size ray is fried, remember?" she said. Olivia watched as she saw Cynthia's leviathan sneaker walk away, and she breathed a sigh of relief. As Narovi tried to explain Parvus law to Olivia, they were interrupted again by the worst tremour yet. As they both looked out the window, they saw Cynthia's white, now slightly grey from being worn all day, sock cover the entire horizon, casting darkness across the planet. Cynthia's casual step from the kitchen to the couch was causing unprecedented chaos to Parvus. Her soft cotton sock pressed down on the planet, flattening several city blocks in the process. The planet got caught onto the fibers of Cynthia's sock which pried it out of the carpet. Now Parvus was caught underneath the ball of Cynthia's right sock as she propped it up on the footrest while she watched TV and enjoyed her burger.

Olivia could hear the panic brewing outside. The women of Parvus were convinced this was the end of their existence, and Narovi was beginning to freak out herself. She then removed Olivia from her cuffs. "Come with me she said" in a hurry and escorted Olivia out of the room. They arrived in a room filled with numerous buttons and switches, with a large cannon like object pointed outside at the sky, which was now pitch black as it was deep within Cynthia's sock. "This is the size ray we used to bring you here" Narovi explained. She then opened a hatch on the machine, revealing a vile of a bright green glowing substance. "The size ray broke, but this stuff should still be able to shrink down Cynthia if it makes direct contact with her skin" Narovi said as she grabbed the material and bolted out. Olivia followed her as they headed outside. Pandemonium overtook the streets, cars were being flipped over and shops were being looted. Despite being an advanced civilization, Parvus was still not prepared to deal with such a cataclysmic event as the planet's size had usually been an advantage, not a disadvantage. Narovi was one of the only women who managed to stay calm as she and Olivia headed towards another building, this one much larger than the one they were just in. "This building houses spacecraft, we can use one to fly towards Cynthia" said Narovi as they entered the building and boarded a spacecraft. "This is so much to take in" said Olivia blankly. "Tell me about it, although I would imagine flying in a spacecraft to try and shrink your sister is a lot weirder than my day has been" laughed Narovi. Olivia couldn't help but crack a small smirk. The spacecraft took off and the two of them plunged deeper into the depths of Cynthia's sock to try and reach the bare skin of her foot.

Cynthia finished eating her burger and quickly checked the time on her phone. "Ok, it's only been about half an hour, still no reason to panic yet" she again assured herself while glancing at the door, hoping Olivia would enter to ease her nerves. She slouched back on the couch and sighed. "My feet are killing me" she though, she had been on them almost all day while moving into her new place. She reached down and slowly began to remove each of her socks. Once again Cynthia paid no notice to the tiny blue sphere that fell while she removed her sock and landed right between her big and second toes. Cynthia taking off her socks caused Olivia and Narovi's spacecraft to verge wildly out of control, but Narovi managed to correct her course and they safely exited the sock, which Cynthia had placed beside her feet on the footrest. Olivia couldn't help but be awestruck at the sheer size of Cynthia's feet before her. Narovi piloted up towards Cynthia's toes where the planet landed. Parvus suffered severe damage, but was mostly intact. Narovi shed a tear looking at the state of her home and then began to weep. Olivia attempted to comfort her. "I understand what its like to miss home. I mean, my home wasn't destroyed or anything, I just moved. Ok maybe this isn't helping, but maybe we can save the rest of your planet?" she said. Narovi wiped the tears from her eyes and sniffled. "You're right" Narovi said as she landed the spacecraft in the gap between Cynthia's toes.

They exited the spacecraft and were immediately hit by the aroma of Cynthia's foot. It was incredibly strong, yet surprisingly not overtly terrible. In fact, both of them found it oddly pleasant. The landscape around them was an indescribable whirlwind of deep trenches that made the Grand Canyon look like a crack in the sidewalk, mountains that made Everest look like an anthill. It took Olivia a moment to truly process just how incredibly small she now was. Narovi held out the vile of green substance. "This will shrink down Cynthia and we can save Parvus, then I'll return the both of you to your original size" she explained. Olivia wasn't paying attention. She found the sights completely breathtaking, the smell intoxicating. Cynthia and Olivia had given each other hundreds if not thousands of foot rubs and massages over the years, played countless games of footsie. Whether they realised it or not, both of them had developed a deep admiration for each others feet. Olivia had now completely forgotten her worries about moving to the big city. "Olivia? Are you ready?" asked Narovi. Olivia briefly snapped out of her trance. "Oh. Yea. Do you mind if I do the honours?" she asked. Narovi shrugged. "I guess" she said, handing Olivia the vile. Olivia then opened it and dumped the entire thing onto Narovi. "OLIVIA WHAT THE-" Narovi began to yell as she shrank away into nothingness. Olivia placed her toes where Narovi had shrank. "I'll let you enjoy it too" she smiled.

After crashing landing between Cynthia's toes, the survivors on Parvus understood that there was now no hope for their planet. It was beyond salvageable. They then realised that maybe the safe place they were looking for was before them all along. They ventured out onto the bare skin surface of Cynthia's foot and became as enamoured as Olivia had. They began to form a new civilization, using some of their undestroyed technology they found a way to grow food and filter safe drinking water. Eventually Olivia found this new civilization and joined them. As for Cynthia, she eventually filed a missing persons report for Olivia. Countless search parties turned up not a single trace, and eventually Cynthia had to move on with her life, always having a small bit of hope that Olivia was safe and sound. She was, Olivia and the Parvusians established a thriving civilization right on her foot, Cynthia was actually as close to her sister as she had ever been.
