Steve the Sizechanger

Author notes: Stephen and Steve refer to the same person

With few exceptions the Sizechanger language in this story is translated into English.

The timeframe is sometime in 2005 CE

Part 1

It all started when Stephen's in laws, Deborah's parents we're over for dinner. The conversation was informal and relaxed. That is until Mrs. Law said.

"Stephen have you ever considered the possibility of becoming a Sizechanger?"

Stephen nearly choked on his steak.

"Mistar mentioned to me once. And Deborah said it was possible. But I didn't really believe them." Stephen replied.

"It's possible. The Masterchemi have turned hundreds of humans into Sizechangers over the years." Deborah replied.

"You didn't talk about the possibility?" Mr. Law asked his daughter.

"I meant to but somehow never got around to it." Deborah replied.

"Please don't take this the wrong way, but I like being human." Stephen told his in-laws.

"We can understand that, but there are advantages to being a Sizechanger." Mr. Law pointed out.

"It would making having kids easier." Mrs. Law pointed out.

"MOM!" Deborah shouted.

"I want grandkids someday. And they will have to come from either you or Mistar." Mrs. Law shot back.

"Were you talking to my mom?" Stephen asked. "Yesterday she asked me if we were planning on having any kids."

"No I wasn't."

"Even if I and Deborah had kids, there no telling how they would turn out. They would probably be a hybrid, part Sizechanger, part human. What would you do then?"

"While I prefer to have Sizechangers as Grandkids, I could accept a hybrid or a human if it came to that." Mrs. Law replied.

"Same goes for me." Mr. Law added.

On that awkward note the dinner conversation ended, but it was no means the end of the matter.

"Steve we need to talk."

"About what?"

"You should really consider becoming a Sizechanger."

"Why? Just because your mom brought it up the other day?"

"It's not just that. There are advantages to being a Sizechanger."

"Like what?"

"You would have control over your size."

"And why would that be such an issue?"

Suddenly Stephen found himself shrinking, clothes and all.

"HEY!" Stephen shouted.

"I’m just trying to prove a point." Deborah replied. By the time Stephen stopped shrinking, he was no bigger than a Ken doll.

"If you were a Sizechanger, you could grow back to normal size without any help. Maybe even stop me from shrinking you in the first place."

"Is that the only reason you can come up with?"

"No! As a Sizechanger you could visit Sizeloa. You could visit my hometown, visit the old Law homestead. As a Human, the only part of my home world open to you are the Size Islands."

"Why do they let Humans visit the Size Islands?"

"Two Words, tourist industry. What I don't understand, is why you would throw away the chance to gain powers."

"Because it would cost me my humanity. Say, for the sake of argument that I did become a Sizechanger. What would I tell my family and friends?"

"Don't tell them anything. You would have to keep it secret from them. Although I suppose your parents would find out eventually."

"They still haven't figured out that you’re a Sizechanger." Stephen pointed out.

"That could change some day. Your dad acts like he's already meet Sizechangers."

"Getting back on topic. I'm not crazy on the idea of hiding my true identity from the world."

"You'll get used to it. Besides I would help you."

"If I could try it on a trail basis, I would consider giving it a shot. But I get the impression it would be permanent."

"I can do some research and get back to you. Please give this some serious thought."

"I will as soon as you restore my size."

"Oh sorry."

Stephen then began to grow and was back to six feet tall again in no time.

"Honey, remember what we talked about last week?"

"If it's about becoming a Sizechanger. My views haven't changed." Stephen replied.

"Come out into the living room. I got a surprise for you."

Stephen followed his wife into the living room. In the center of the room there was what appeared to be a large multi coloured blob.

 "Steve met the Masterchemi."

"I thought the Masterchemi were a race not a single entity." Stephen commented.

"We are a race, but we are not individuals. We are separate entities joined up in a collective."

"I'm not sure I understand."

"You’re not meant to Steve.  Deborah has been telling us about your hesitation on becoming a Sizechanger. We have the answer for you."

"It's reversible?" Steve asked.

"We don't advertise the fact, but yes, we can reverse the conversion process." The Masterchemi replied.

"I must admit, I was shocked when I heard about this." Deborah said.

"Is the process painful?" Steve asked.

"No one has complained about pain." The Masterchemi replied.

"Is it a long and complex procedure?"

"It only takes a few minutes and yes it is complex, but you won't notice most of it."

"Only a few minutes, I thought I would have to go to some hospital or lab."

"Nope.  We can do it right here."

"All right! I'll give being a Sizechanger a try."

The Masterchemi then went right up to him and the next thing he knew there were alien fluids flowing into him. Then he felt his body begin to change. On the outside he looked the same, but somehow he could feel changes on the inside.

"How do you feel?" The Masterchemi asked him.

"I can't put my finger on it, but I do feel a little different." Stephen replied.

"That's because you're now a Sizechanger."

"It took only ten minutes to change me from human to Sizechanger. That's hard to shallow."

"We assure you that you are." The Masterchemi then turned to Deborah.

"Guide and teach him the ways of the Sizechangers." Then it turned back to Stephen.

"There will be a class for Nusi next Saturday in the city of Hillta. I strongly urge you to attend."

"Nusi?"

"It means "New sizechanger" Deborah explained.

"Transportation to Sizeloa will be provided. Any questions?"

"I got two questions. What time Saturday is this class?"

"An hour after midday local time, which is 10Am Eastern Standard Time. Your next question?"

"How long do I have before I have to make a final decision?" Stephen asked.

"We hope you will decide to remain a Sizechanger for life. But after a week or two who feel that you rather be human, we will change you back." The Masterchemi replied.

Then a wormhole opened up and the Masterchemi flowed out of sight.

"All right. Where should I start?"

"Where on Sizeloa is Hillta?"

"It's located on the Alpha continent. Near the mountain range we call the "Great Divide".

"Guess I'll have to brush up on my Sizeloa geography."

"Now that you’re a Sizechanger, I can give you a tour of my home planet."

"Maybe later. Right now I still have trouble believing I'm a Sizechanger."

"Tell you what. Try to shrink that book on the coffee table."

"Hmm, how?"

"There are a couple of ways. You can imagine the book shrinking to the target size. Or you think out the command."

"You mean like this? " Stephen stared at the book and thought. "Book shrink to 10% of your current size."

To his shock the book began to rapidly shrink. Within seconds it was just 1/10th it's original size.

"You did that."

"Nope it was all your effort."

Suddenly the phone rang.

"Wonder who that can be?" Steve wondered as he answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hello Steve."

"Mom! I wasn't expecting you to call."

"Just calling to confirm you're coming over to dinner this Saturday?"

"This Saturday? Um I need to postpone that dinner date."

"Oh why?"

"I have a meeting to attend on an other pl.. um I mean other country to attend."

"Since when did your accounting job take you out of the country?"

"Nuts!" He muttered to himself. Out loud he said. "You got me. The real reason I have to postpone is that Deborah parents invited us to their place on Saturday and since we bought the plane tickets all ready.  It would be awkward to refuse."

"You forgot didn't you?"

"I've had a lot on my mind. And I will make it up to you. I promise."

"All right. But your dad and I better not have to compete with your in-laws on a regular basis."

"You won't. Love you mom, Bye for now."

"What's this lie about having to visit my parents?" Deborah asked Steve as soon as he hung up the phone.

"I had to give some excuse as to why I couldn't go to her house Saturday, and she didn't buy the work excuse. " Stephen replied. "Besides I want to see the place where you grew up."

"I'll talk to my parents and arrange it. In the mean time I recommend you read some "How-To" books on size changing."

"Such books exist?"

"Yes. Every Sizechanger child studies size changing at some point during its schooling. Besides you’re not the first human to become a Sizechanger."

"Are these books in Sizechanger or English?" Stephen asked.

"Most are in my native language but I do think there's an English version."

"Strongly prefer the English version."

The book arrived the next evening. It was called "The Ignorant person guide to Sizechangers and size changing."

"I half expected a "Dummies" book." Stephen commented.

"We don't have the copyright on "Dummies". Besides you should find this book helpful." Deborah commented.

"At least it's in English."

"You want this Friday off as well as the weekend?" MaryAnn Owens asked Stephen.

"Yes. I got a few vacation days left. And I want to use some of them." Stephen replied.

"This is not like you to take time off with so little notice. Is there something you want to tell me Mr. Miller?"

Stephen felt a bit uncomfortable under his boss gaze. But he gathered up the nerve to say "no".

"You're hiding something from me Mr. Miller. Since things are a little slow so I can let you go. But I want more warning in the future."

"I promise I'll give you more warning in the future. Thank you Ms. Owens this means a lot to me."

"Does this have anything to do with the Sizechangers would it?"

"Look at the time. I got to go." Stephen then fled the office.

"That must be a yes." MaryAnn thought to herself. "Wonder why he won't tell me. I already know his wife a Sizechanger."

"What did your boss say?"

"I got Friday off. I didn't dare tell her that I wanted the day to do some exploring of Sizeloa."

"Why not? She already knows about Sizechangers."

"Have you forgotten about her connections to "Stan's Growth and Shrink Rays"? I doubt Ms. Owens would like having a Sizechanger on staff."

"Good point."

"Are you nervous Steve?"

Stephen looked at the open cross time portal in front of him: then he looked at his wife and nodded.

"Don't be. I'll be here to guide you."

"I'm about to visit another planet. Who won't be nervous?"

"Remember while Sizeloa maybe in another universe, earth is just a wormhole away."

"I don't get it. Sizeloa is in another universe yet both universes are part of the Wishbone multiuniverse."

"You're stalling. It’s time to give you a push." Deborah then pushed Stephen through the portal."

Stephen almost fell flat on his face but didn't. He then realized he was standing in front of a two-story house.

"That wasn't so bad was it?" Deborah asked Stephen.

"Where are we?" Stephen asked.

"We are standing in front of the Law Family home."

"Oh, now I see the sign."

The sign Steve referred to said.

"Home of Annta and Gary Law and their kids"

"Anyway, this is the place where I grew up. It is located on the outskirts of Rivbend located in the eastern half of the Beta continent." Deborah replied.

Suddenly a huge foot came down in front of them between them and the house. It was wearing a sandal. Stephen looked up the long legs, wearing what appeared to be jeans. The middle was bare except for a pink bra. Finally about 100 feet off the ground was the face of a woman with long red hair and brown eyes. She was looking down at them at had a big smile.

"Watch where you're going Redbo." Deborah called up to the giantess.

"I always watch where I step Deborah." The redhead replied. "Who the cutie?" She asked.

"Redbo this is my husband Stephen."

"So the rumour is true. You did marry a human. Or should I say ex-human."

"I take it you two know each other."

"We grew up together." Deborah explained.

"Sometime you got to tell me why you married him."

"I can tell you right now, I fell in love with him and he turned out to be my true love."

"Really! I'm still looking for my true love."

"Still having bad luck with men?"

"Yeah! I'm getting so desperate that I'm considering getting myself pregnant so he'll have to marry me."

"I don't understand. What would stop the dad from running away?" Stephen asked.

"He won't abandon his own child."

"Sadly, there are many human men that have."

"Really? I don't understand humans."

"Can't say I approve of your plan. Besides for your plan to work, you have to lure a man to your bed."

"Sadly you are right. Well I got to go. But I'll see you later." Redbo then walked away.

"She would have caused a stir back home."

"You got to remember, that we are Sizechangers. Growing to giant size is a common experience here. Come my parents are expecting us."

They went up to the front door, but instead of knocking on the door. Deborah put her hand on a strip on the right hand side of the door. The door then slid open.

"The door recognizes and lets in certain people, my parents, my sister and myself." Deborah explained.

His in laws were waiting for them when they came through the door.

"Welcome Deborah, Welcome Stephen." Mr. Law said.

"Welcome to the Sizechanger race." Mrs. Law said in Sizechanger

"Not a bad place you got here."

"You haven't seen much of it yet." Deborah replied.

"Just trying to be nice." Steve shot back.

"Anyway, it will be nice to have the whole family for dinner."

"Mistar here?" Stephen asked.

"She's in the entertainment room watching television, last time I saw her." Mrs. Law replied.

"Led the way. I want to show Mistar something."

"All right but remember that Mistar is more powerful than you and has way more experience." Deborah warned.

Mistar was so engaged watching television that she didn't hear her sister or Stephen approach. Deborah stayed out in the hall while Stephen approached Mistar from behind.

"Are you tried of sneaking past Morphers to visit Sim Charmed? Well your dreams are about to be answered, for Sim Charmed 2 is being built right here on the Beta continent. This is full-scale model of the Charmed Ones San Francisco. Not only can you watch simulations of the Charmed ones. You can role-play your favourite Charmed Characters. The Charmed Simulator for Sizechangers only is opening soon."

Mistar turned off the television in disgust.

"That's the last thing this world needs more Charmed." Mistar muttered.

"I take it your not a fan."

"I hate those witches Steve." Mistar's jaw then dropped when she realized who she was talking to.

"Stephen Miller what are you doing here? Humans aren't allowed here." She told him.

"So who's human? Thanks to the Masterchemi I'm now a Sizechanger."

"Really?"

"I'll prove it." Stephen said. "Shrink Mistar to 1/10th size." Mistar Steve thought.

"Hey!" Mistar cried as she started shrinking in size. But to Steve surprise she stopped shrinking long before she shrank to 1/10 size. She was one-third original size: then she rapidly grew back to her normal six feet height.

"So you want a Size duel huh? You asked for it buster."

Stephen then found himself shrinking. He then willed himself to grow. The shrinking slowed down, but didn't stop. He felt like he was pressing against a heavy object. He was down to three feet tall, so he needs to do something fast. So he tries to make Mistar shrink with him.

He then rapidly shrank to an inch in height. Mistar was now slowly shrinking, and lost six inches of height before she realized it. She then put her foot down on him. Stephen could barely breathe. Mistar then stopped shrinking.

"That's enough you two." Mrs. Law yelled at Mistar and Stephen.

"All right mom." Mistar replied. Then she lifted her foot off Stephen.

"Are you all right?" Deborah asked.

Steve nodded and then started growing.

"What made you think you could win a size duel with me?" Mistar asked after Stephen had reached his normal height.

"I didn't want a size duel. I wanted to shrink you to get back at you for the way you treated me at World Best Foods." Stephen replied.

"You’re still mad about that? Well let me give you a tip, never pick on a Sizechanger stronger than you."

"I already told him that." Deborah pointed out.

"Point number two, a brother rarely wins a size duel with his sister."

"She referring to the size duels she used to have with Zentor." Mrs. Law said after seeing the look of confusion on Steve's face.

After the run in with Mistar, Deborah then gave Stephen a tour of the house. It consisted of the three floors. The Basement or below ground floor as the Laws called it, contained storerooms, a work area for Mr. Law, a work area for Mrs. Law and the Sizechanger version of a freezer.

"Your parent’s job requires them to work in the basement?" Steve asked.

"My parents are retired. But they both have hobbies that require space to work, hence the work areas." Deborah replied.

The ground floor had the entertainment room, a kitchen where something Stephen couldn't identify was cooking. There was a dinning room, a guestroom and a small bathroom.

The upstairs held four bedrooms. One was for his in-laws. One was Mistar old room, one was Deborah's old room, where they were going to sleep for the night. And finally there was what used to be Zentor's room.

"We haven't touched it since his death." Deborah told Stephen.

"What time is dinner mom?"

"The 17th hour." Mrs. Law replied.

"The 17th hour?" Stephen asked.

"We use a 24 hour clock here." Deborah replied. "Come on, we have time to do a brief tour of Revbend."

After leaving the house, Deborah led Stephen to a paved road. Then they started walking toward the west.

"We got two choices. We can grow into giants so we can cover more ground faster. Or we can stay this size and see the town from this point of view."

"When you say giant, how big are we talking?"

"Oh, I had in mind 150 feet, maybe 200 feet. Big enough to see over most of the buildings."

"I don't feel comfortable being that big in a town."

"Suit yourself, although most sizechangers do take a giant/giantess course during their studies."

"Tell me more about the town itself."

"Well in the last census the town had just over 10,000 people. Rivbend is what you humans would call a service center. Serving farms for miles around and it's a major stopping point on the Longtar River."

"So Rivbend is a typical small town."

"Hardly. The great Zola himself founded Rivbend."

"Who?"

"Zola was one the greatest explorers Sizeloa had ever produced. He founded settlements on both the Beta and Gamma continents. You'll see his statue in the center of town."

"How long ago was the town founded?"

"About 2000 years ago. Our year is the same length as your year."

"So your town is far older than America."

"It's status as one of the oldest towns on Beta continent does draw in a few tourists." Deborah admitted.

They were now buildings on either side of them. Deborah identified them as houses.

"I thought Sizechangers might have different size houses."

"The poor are sometimes forced to live in shrunken housing. The rich and powerful sometimes live as giants in giant homes. It's a matter of taste." Deborah replied.

"Is that a giant home over there?" Stephen pointed to a three-story home that was big as thirty-story building.

"That's the mayor house. His name is Bitor Bigla. He feels being a giant most of the time makes people respect him."

"Other than the mayor's house,  I don't see very many giant homes."

"That's because they're only three or four in town. About 90% of people in this town live in normal sized homes."

"I take it that poor people live in that row of doll size houses?" Stephen asked.

"Who are you calling poor?" A female voice asked in Sizechanger.

Stephen looked down and saw an eight-inch tall blond standing before him.

"Dol-la Doll is that you?" Deborah asked.

"Deborah Law is that you?" The tiny blond asked.

"Yes it is. It's been years Dol-la."

"Another of your old friends?" Stephen asked.

"Who is this jerk?" Dol-la asked.

"That jerk happens to be my husband." Deborah replied. "His name is Stephen Miller."

"You married a human! It would explain why he mistook Doll club homes for poor people homes."

"Doll club is a group of Sizechangers, manly women who prefer to spend most of their time doll sized." Deborah explained.

"Sometimes we sneak into human homes and pretend to be dolls. It's fun teasing the humans that way." Dol-la added.

"Sounds dangerous to me. What if the homeowners catch you?" Stephen asked.

"I've only had it happen a couple of times. And I can defend myself." Dol-la replied.

"We got to go. Keep in touch Dol-la."

"I will Deborah."

While Dol-la was still talking, Stephen felt himself being carried off the ground. The next thing he knew he was face to face with a sixty foot giant. He had red hair and blue eyes and didn't look too happy.

"So you’re the Sizechanger who grabbed my Deborah." The giant sneered.

"I was never your girlfriend Jerktor Bigla." Deborah shot back.

"Please put me down." Stephen asked Jerktor.

"Make me." Jerktor shot back.

Stephen then willed himself to grow. Jerktor tried to stop him but only succeeded in slowing down his growth. Within moments Stephen was too big for Jerktor to hold, and then Stephen was looking Jerktor in the eye.

"Look bud, Deborah is my wife."

"She should have been mine. I always loved her."

"Nonsense." Deborah said, as she grew from six feet to sixty feet tall. "You had what humans call a "Crush" on me. You never really cared for me."

"Humans Bah. Some day we'll exterminate that species of vermin."

"Hey! I used to be human."

"I know Stephen Miller. I know."

"You know me?"

"I never lost tract of Deborah. Some day I and my fellow human haters will kill every human in the multiuniverse." Jerktor vowed.

"That will never happen Jerktor." Deborah vowed.

"There are more of us than you think." Jerktor said before he turned and walked away.

"Who is that Jerk?" Stephen asked.

"He is the only surviving son of the mayor. He was always a jerk." Deborah replied.

"What's this about "Human haters"?"

"They are a small minority of Sizechangers who want to wipe the human race out of existence. They have been around for years and not much of a threat."

"Jerktor sounded like a threat to me."

"Come on let's go back to my parent's home."

"All right. But let's stay 60-foot giants. I'll feel safer that way. "

"Fine. We'll shrink back to normal when we reach the house."

The dinner that night was one of the strangest Stephen had ever attended. For one thing, other than the glasses of water, none of the food and drink on the table was familiar to him.

"I assure you that everything is safe to eat." Deborah assured Stephen.

"You're looking at some of best food the lands and seas of the Beta continent have to offer." Mrs. Law added, pride showing in her voice.

"No offence. But I have no clue what most of this stuff is. Take this for example." He pointed his fork at a fish. But it was a very fat fish, for it was ball shaped.

"That's a Blofat." Deborah explained. "They are grown in fish farms all around the coast."

"If you think cooked Blofat grosses you out, you should get them raw." Mistar added.

"Mistar we will not have your gross out stories at the table."

"Sorry."

"I assume this is some sort of vegetable or fruit." He pointed to what looked like a purple cucumber.

"Actually it's neither. Puzta's don't fit under any Human classification." Deborah explained.

"Try it. Once you develop a taste for it. You'll want it for the rest of your life."  Mr. law said.

 "Really?"

"I  have been eating them for decades. I know what I'm talking about."

"What a day. I'm ready to hit the sack." Steve commented as he and Deborah entered Deborah's old bedroom. His heart sank when he saw the bed.

"Nut's I forgot the bed is built for one."

"Honey your forgetting we are Sizechangers."

"Right! We can make the bed bigger."

"Actually it would be better if we made ourselves smaller."

"Not keen on that idea."

"You're going to have to get used to being shrunk. Besides half size isn't that small."

"I suppose your right. Just don't like going to sleep shrunk."

"Fine, I'll shrink to a tiny size so can remain normal sized.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? I might accidentally crush you."

"A Sizechanger is always able to sense his/her true love. Your body will sense me and avoid hurting me."

"I know you can sense me, but what's makes you think I can sense you?"

"You’re a Sizechanger now and I know you love me. Now do what I say or I'll shrink you to a tiny size."

"All right."

"Take off everything but your underwear and lie down flat on the bed.

Stephen did as he was told.

Deborah then began to rapidly shrink. She climbed on the bed as she shrank and shrank. When she had stopped shrinking, she was only two inches tall.

"Decisions, decisions should I sleep on your chest or your belly?"

"Um. Sleep where to feel the most comfortable."

"The belly it is. You know that it's a sign of trust among Sizechangers when you sleep on their belly?"

"If you say so."

Deborah lied down on his belly and within moments both were fast asleep.

Chapter 2

"Steve wake up."

Stephen opened his eyes and saw his full sized wife standing over him.

"It’s time to get moving." She told him.

Since they had to get up early, breakfast was a quick affair. They ate before anyone else was up. Or so they thought. As Steve was getting out of the bathroom, Mistar approached him.

"Got a moment Steve?"

"I guess so. What's up Mistar?"

"I know we haven't always gotten along in the past. But I want you to know that it's nice to have a brother in the family again."

"I've been your brother in law for a while now, why the change of heart?"

"Over time I've warmed up to you. True I was hostile to you when we first meet. But I had my sister's best interests at heart."

"If you say so."

"It's the truth. I couldn't believe my sister's true love was a human. Part of me is jealous that she's found her true love and I'm still looking for mine."

"Steve we got to go." Deborah called out.

"So long my brother in law. And good luck."

Wonder what got into her?" Stephen wondered.

Went they got outside there was a cab waiting for them.

"Sizechangers have taxis?" Stephen asked.

"Why not?" Deborah replied.

"Is there anything I should know before we get on the plane to the Nusi meeting?" Stephen asked as they arrived at the airport.

"Well they do ask the passengers to shrink themselves." Deborah replied.

"What!"

"It's common procure that the passengers on long distance flights get shrunk to 1/12th scale. That way they can cram more people in and charge lower rates."

"I assume the flight crew would be normal size."

"Of course. They have operate the plane controls. Once the flight is over, the passengers leave the plane and grow back to whatever size they want."

"This planet takes some getting used to." Steve commented." I doubt humans would let themselves get shrunk so easily."

"You'll be surprised. Besides I'll be right by your side."

Even with his wife my side, Stephen was nervous about shrinking to six inches tall in public. Although the sight of hundreds of other passengers shrinking to (roughly) the same size made him feel him a bit better.

"You weren't kidding when you said they cram them in." Stephen commented. There were a couple thousand passengers on the plane. Finding their seats took a while.

"Here we are, I paid extra from some window seats."

"Welcome passengers to flight 123." An announcer said in Sizechanger. "Remember to read the "what to do in case of emergencies" manual. Our estimated flight time is 50 minutes. About 20 of those will be spent outside the atmosphere. Please unless you have to use the washroom, please stay in your seats. Have a nice flight."

"We're going to space?" Steve asked his wife.

"All long distance flights are sub orbital flights." Deborah explained.

"Guess that explains the "what to do if your trapped in the vacuum of space" part of the manual.

The flight went fairly quickly for Stephen. He enjoyed the view from the window. That way he didn't have to look at the towering airline staff. While they looked friendly enough (Most were young women) Stephen still felt nervous around them. It didn't help that one staff member; a brunette noticed his discomfort. She about 5'4", but when your six inches tall, she's a giantess.

"Nervous flyer?" She asked him.

"Not used to being shrunk." He replied.

"He's a nusi." Deborah explained, after seeing the brunette's puzzled look.

"Oh. Well let us know if you need anything." She then moved on.

"Thank God that's over." Stephen cried after they had left the plane and grown back to normal height.

"Come on, it wasn't that bad."

The city of Hillta was visible off in the distance. Stephen could see the mountains rising behind the city.

"How do we get there?" Stephen asked.

"By taxi." Deborah replied.

After a short taxi ride, the couple found themselves in downtown Hillta.

"Here's a map of the city. The building you need to go to is clearly marked."

"You're not going with me?" Stephen asked.

"You'll do fine. Besides the Masterchemi won't let anything bad happen to you."

"If something bad did happen to me. How would they know?" Stephen asked.

"We would know." Echoed through Stephen's brain.

"Is that you Masterchemi?" Stephen asked.

"Yes. We are tracking your whereabouts at all times."

"Haven't you heard of privacy?"

"When it comes to dealing with the Masterchemi. It doesn't exist." Deborah explained.

"You mean the Masterchemi are in your mind all the time?"

"Not all the time. But they can enter your mind any time they want to."

"Wish I had known that before I became a Sizechanger."

"Well I'm going to see an old friend who lives in Hillta. I'll catch up with you later. Good luck at the meeting."

Deborah then ran off and Stephen got out the map. Building 10-A where the meeting was being held was clearly marked and only a few blocks away.

Paul Jones and Tracey Smith entered the classroom. There were several people already there. Some of them were surprised to see Paul return with a girl."

"You got a girlfriend now?" A teenage brunette asked Paul.

"She not my Girlfriend. She is a fellow new Sizechanger. Her name is Tracey Smith."

"Hello people. Care to introduce yourselves?"

"I'm Paige Jones." The brunette replied. "I'm Paul big sister."

"By a mere two years. I'm 16 years old and she's 18." Paul added.

"My name is Patrick Jones." A man with brown hair and white skin replied. He appeared to be in his late forties.

"And I'm Paula Jones. His wife." A Brunette replied. Tracey guessed she was in her forties as well.

"Nice to meet you Jones. But tell me who that is?" She pointed to a man standing on the side of the room.

"My name is Stephen Miller. Like you I'm a new Sizechanger."

Tracey's jaw dropped open in shock.

"The Stephen Miller? The one who is married to Deborah Law?"

"How did you know?"

"I was a great fan of Sizechangers years before I became one. Your wife is one of the most famous and the most powerful of them all. "

"NUSI! There will be time to get to know each later. Right now you have lessons to learn."

They turned to face the Masterchemi standing (if that the right word to use for a liquid mass) in front of the classroom. Then they sat in the seats provided and the lesson began.

The first hour or so was basic Size changing 101. Stuff that they had read in books like " The Ignorant person guide to Sizechangers and size changing." Then they moved beyond the theory of sizechanging to actual practice on inanimate objects. After a few hours the Masterchemi said.

"We will now pause for a brief meal break. We will resume in thirty earth minutes in the Size arena."

"Is the food here human or Sizechanger?" Steve asked Patrick Jones.

"The menu features both." Patrick replied.

"Not sure I'll ever get used to Sizechanger food." Paige Jones commented.

All but Tracey went with human food. Tracey had Blofat on her plate To his dismay Tracey sat next to him.

"You like Blofat?" He asked.

"Sure do." Tracey replied. "Later I love to talk to you in private."

"About what?"

"About what's its like being married to the seventh most powerful Sizechanger alive."

"You know that just the top ten list opinion."

They turned to see who had spoken. It was a tall woman with white hair.

"Kathor South what are you doing here?" Tracey asked.

"I’m just checking up on you. Also I wanted to meet Stephen." Kathor replied. She went to shake Stephen's hand.

"Deborah has told me much about you."

"So you’re the old friend she ran off to see."

"Correct. I was her trainer back in her Sitmobtia days." Stephen frowned at the mention of the Sitmobtia.

"Is Deborah here?" Tracey asked.

"She's right here." Kathor opened her purse and a five-inch tall Deborah popped out.

"Hi honey." She said.

"Deborah Law. My name is Tracey Smith. It's an honour to meet you." Tracey said.

 "Same to you."

"Mind if I have a quick girl to girl talk with Deborah in your purse?" Tracey asked.

"Why not?" Kathor replied.

Stacey then rapidly shrank to five inches in height and then climbed into the purse. Kathor then shut the purse living a small hole for air.

"Now that's weird." Paula Jones commented.

"It’s probably a normal thing for a sizechanger to do." Stephen replied. Then he turned to Kathor.

"What's this top ten list that Stacey mentioned?"

"Every year they produce a list of the top ten sizechangers." Kathor explained.

"Is Mistar Law on that list?"

"In the eight spot. Here's a copy of the list." She then fished a small data pad from her pocket. She enlarged it to book size and then brought up the following list.

1. Maxtor (Besides having the most raw size changing power, has teleportation ability and protected by a smart shield)

2. The Size Ranger (superhero with various powers)

3. Zintor (political leader of the Alpha continent)

4. Kathor South (a.k.a Kathy) most powerful female.

5. Bran Soap (political leader of the Beta continent)

6. Dator Ham (a.k.a. Dan Ham)

7. Deborah Law

8. Mistar Law (a.k.a. Misty Law)

9.Susan Big (Political leader of the Delta continent)

10. Bitor Bigla (Mayor of Rivbend)

Most of these Sizechangers I've never heard off. And you’re the most powerful female sizechanger?"

"So they say. But I hate to put that to the test." Kathor replied.

"Please report to the size arena within the next five minutes." Echoed through Steve's and the other new sizechangers heads.

"Thirty minutes go by fast."  Patrick complained.

"You said it. By the way what exactly is the size arena?" Stephen asked Kathor.

"It's where sizechangers practice their sizechanging skills. Most likely the Masterchemi want you to demonstrate how big you can grow and how small you can shrink." Kathor replied.

The first impression they had was how big the size arena was. At first glance it looked like a mountain. Then they found out it was hollow.

"How big is this place?" Tracey asked.

"It's a mile tall and almost two across." The masterchemi replied.

"Why hollow out a mountain?" Steve asked.

"A mountain looks better than a mile tall building."

"You sound like you have built mile tall buildings." Patrick commented.

"We have, but that's not talk about that right now. Now is time to find out your limits."

"Limits?" Tracey asked.

"How big you can grow and how small you can shrink."

"Which are we doing first?" Steve asked.

"We will start with shrinking. Who wants to go first?"

"This is safe right?" Paula Jones asked.

"It's not a survival test. This is merely a measurement test." The Masterchemi replied. "And before you ask we use sensors not a ruler."

"Guess I'll go first." Paula said.

"Good. Come and stand before me."

Paula did as she was told.

"Computer what is Paula Jones current height?"

"She is 5'8" or 172.7 centimetres tall if you prefer metric."

"Being an American, I prefer inches." Paula commented.

"Ex-American you mean. When ready Paula, begin shrinking."

Paula frowned but did as she was told. She began to shrink, getting smaller and smaller. Soon the others had to get on their hands and knees to see her. Finally she stopped shrinking.

"She's no big than an ant." Stacey commented.

"Computer what is Paula's current height?"

"She is 1/4th of an inch tall ."

"What's it like down there?" Patrick asked his wife.

"Everything is so big." Paula replied. But no one but the Masterchemi heard her reply.

"All right you can return to normal size." The Masterchemi told Paula. She grew a lot faster than she shrank.

"Guess I'll go next." Patrick said. He tried his best but could only shrink down to 1/2 of an inch tall.

"How come she can go smaller than me?" Patrick wondered.

"Just because your married doesn't mean your powers are exactly the same." The Masterchemi replied.

"Guess I'm next." Paul and Paige said at the same time.

"All right. We'll have a brother sister shrink."

They shrank in unison. Until the half inch mark was reached. Then Paul stopped shrinking. Paige kept on shrinking until she was only 1/16th of an inch tall.

"Think you over did it." Paul told his super tiny sister."

"Who knew I was the best shrinker in the family." Paige replied.

After the Jones kids had grown back to normal size, Steve was next. At first he had no trouble shrinking. But as the world around him got bigger and bigger he got more and more nervous. At the one-inch mark he found he couldn't go any further.

"You have the power to get even smaller." The Masterchemi told him.

"But not the will." Steve replied.

Next up was Tracey Smith. At first she shrank to only eight inches tall.

"Surely you can get smaller than that."

"I'm a giantess, not a shrunken woman." Tracey replied.

"A Sizechanger needs to know her shrinking limits."

Tracey frowned and then shrank to two inches in height."

"That's as small as I'm going." She said.

"All right. We'll take a short four-minute brake. Then we will put your growing skills to the test."

"We will doing to growing tests in the same order we did the Shrinking tests."

"Guess that's means I'm going first." Paula said.

"Correct."

"All right. Stand back. I'm going to need a lot of room."

A lot of room was right. Paula grew and grew. Soon the other sizechangers felt like they have been shrunk to bug size standing before her. Finally she stopped growing.

"Paula is 1200 feet tall." The computer said.

"THIS PLACE DOESN'T LOOK SO HUGE ANYMORE." Paula commented.

"All right. Time to shrink down."

"Paula did as she was told."

Patrick was next. His limit turned out to be 1300 feet.

"I'M THE GROWTH KING." He shouted.

"Don't be so sure on that." The Masterchemi commented.

Patrick was next. He managed to match his father's 1300 feet height.

Then it was Paula's turn. To her family's surprise she managed to grow to 1500 feet in height.

"How come you have a greater size range than me?" Paula asked his sister.

"Beats me." She replied.

Stephen was up next. Truth be told he was more comfortable with growing than shrinking. Bigger and bigger he became. Finally he stopped growing.

"Steve is 1500 feet tall." the computer said.

Steve looked down at his fellow sizechangers, to him they looked no bigger than ants. He shuttered at the power he had.

After Steve had shrunk by to normal height, it was Tracey's turn. She grew in a flash.

"She's a giantess at heart." Steve thought to himself. Tracey quickly reached 2000 feet in height.

"I'M THE GIANTESS CHAMP." She shouted. Causing her fellow sizechangers to cover their ears.

"While better than average, you’re not good enough to get on the top ten list." The Masterchemi replied.

"All right nusi. That's it for today. We will meet again tomorrow at the ninth hour."

"I got a question. How long will this training last?" Stephen asked.

"That demands on a bunch of factors. We are aware that you have to be at work on Monday." The masterchemi replied.

Tracey then shrunk down to her normal size.

"So where are you going tonight?" She asked him.

"That's a good question. I forgot to ask where my wife is staying."

"She's staying in Kathor's mansion." The Masterchemi said.

"Then I guess that's where I'm going."

"Great. That's where I'm going to." Tracey said.

"Mind if we tag along for a while?" Patrick Jones asked.

"We miss human company." Paula Jones added.

"Have to ask Kathor, but I don't see why not." Tracey replied.

"They weren't kidding when they called this place a mansion." Steve commented.

"It's bigger than the hotel we are staying in." Paige commented.

The mansion they were referring to was huge. It was bigger than the city block Steve lived in. It was several stories tall. Steve could tell it was built for normal sized people. Several acres of land surrounded the mansion, which was located on the outskirts of the city.

"How did you manage to get a place to stay here?" Steve asked Tracey.

"Kathor is my mentor." Tracey replied. "She's supposed to guide me."

Kathor was waiting for them at the front door. Tracey asked her about the Jones request.

"You’re welcome to stay for supper." Kathor told the Jones family. Then she turned to Steve.

"You’re welcome to spend the night here." She told him.

"Thank you."

Kathor then took Steve and the Jones family on a brief tour of the mansion. Some rooms would not have been out of place in a rich human's home. Others were more unusual.

"What's in here? A model city?" Paula Jones asked. The city Paula referred to filled most of the room.

"I recognize the CN tower. It must be a model of Toronto." Steve suggested.

"It's no model Stephen. What you're looking at is the Norm version of Toronto, plus some of the suburbs." Kathor explained.

"You shrunk a whole city?" Patrick asked.

"Actually we Sizechangers shrank their home world to street finder size." Kathor explained.

"What's Street finder size?" Patrick asked.

"It's 1:25000 scale. Anyway as I was saying, they attacked us first. Twelve million sizechangers died due to their H-bombs. The Norms got what was coming to them."

"Seams cruel to me." Paula commented.

"And me. Is anyone still alive in that city?" Patrick asked. Kathor just shrugged and then asked. "Don't you hate your enemies?"

"My Christian faith says I have to LOVE my enemies." Paula replied.

Kathor frowned, but made no comment. The tour moved on.

Another unusual room had nothing but a table in it. On the table was a tiny house.

"This house is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Inch." Kathor explained. "They are trusted servants of mine."

"You mean people live in there?" Paula Jones asked. As he was speaking an inch tall woman stepped out of the house. She had long blond hair and was dressed like a maid.

"Are they stuck at that size?" Paige asked. The inch tall blond then laughed and then grew to six inches in height."

"Does this answer your question?" The blond asked Paige.

"I guess it does. But why send your time being so tiny?"

"We like being tiny." Mrs. Inch replied.

"Even when they were human they were into shrinking to tiny sizes." Kathor explained.

"What human in his or her right mind wants to be that small?" Patrick Jones asked.

"You would be surprised how many people are into micro." Mrs. Inch commented.

"It’s time to move on with the tour people." Kathor said.

The tour ended in one of the living room, where Deborah was waiting for them. The Jones kids then ran off somewhere and Kathor went to check on dinner.

Steve along with his wife Deborah sat on the couch with Mr. and Mrs. Jones.

"I meant to ask earlier but how come your whole family decided to become sizechangers?" Steve asked Patrick.

"We didn't have much choice." Patrick replied.

"Why not?" Deborah asked.

"Imagine going to bed in San Francisco, USA Earth, then waking up in Bigtil, Alpha continent Sizeloa." Paula replied. "Imagine that your entire house along with the yard and drive way comes along for the ride."

"That sounds like something out of the "Twilight zone"." Steve commented.

"Not only that. At the same time the Blow family of Bigtil disappears, house and all. One wonders if they took our place on earth."

"Why didn't you try to get back to your home earth?"

"No body in this universe, knows where it is."

Deborah's eyes rose up in shock. Then she said.

"I find that hard to believe."

"It's true. If the Masterchemi know where it is, they are not saying."

"There’s plenty of room here." Steve said as he looked at the bedroom assigned to him and Deborah. The bed was king size and there was a mirror attached to a desk along one wall. Also standing on the desk was Mrs. Inch.

"If you need anything, don't hesitate to call us." Mrs. Inch said using a megaphone.

"Think we will be fine Mrs. Inch." Deborah said.

"Mind if I ask you something Mrs. Inch."

"Go right ahead Mr. Miller."

"How do you manage to get around the mansion with your tiny size?"

"Well keep in mind. I am a sizechanger. I can grow if I have too." Mrs. Inch replied. "Besides that, there are tiny inch tall doors in the main doors, tiny ladders and special express tunnels in the walls."

"Sounds like the mansion was built for tiny people in mind." Steve commented.

"It is."

Steve wasn't sure what to expect when class started. He was a little surprised when he saw lines painted at different heights on the wall. Each line was about an inch apart. Then he recognized the pattern. So did Tracey.

"We're doing height line exercises today?" She asked.

"Correct. It's a great way to keep your size changing powers in shape and makes for a great warm up exercise." The Masterchemi replied.

"Excuse me but what is height line exercises?" Patrick asked.

"Care to explain Steve?"

"Height line exercises are when you stare at a line at eye level on the wall. Then you can either increase your eye level to lines higher up or decrease your eye level to lines further down."

"It's a grow and shrink exercise." Tracey added.

"Care to demonstrate Tracey?"

"All right."

She got up and starred at the wall. Then she grew an inch, then another inch.

"Each line is an inch apart. So as go up a line, I grow an inch. Another way to do this is to focus on certain lines. Say that line up there."

Tracey started at it and grew until it was level with her eye.

"Of course you can go the other way as well, take that line by my knees."

She started at it and began to shrink. She shrank until it was level with her eyes.

"It's a bit boring. But easy to get the hang of."

"I want you to spend the next half hour doing height line exercises." The Masterchemi told the class.

"Now we will do something different. This is a simulator that uses advanced VR technology. We will test to see how you handle certain situations.  Remember the fail-safe's are on, so you can't die. Any questions?"

"What happens if we get stuck in VR?" Paula Jones asked.

"We will be monitoring you at all times. I assure you that you can't get stuck." The Masterchemi replied.

The class then put on their VR helmets.

The classroom then disappeared for Steve. To his surprise he found himself back home. He was standing in front of his house. There were cars and people going by. Then a huge shadow came over the land. People started to scream. Steve looked up and saw a huge blond woman standing over his house. She was 600 feet tall and the look in her blue eyes chilled Stephen to the bone.

"Who the heck are you?" Stephen asked.

"MY NAME IS ROSE CRUSHER."  The blond replied. Then she crushed his house with her right foot.

"Hey! That's my house." Steve cried.

"WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?" Rose asked.

Steve looked up at Rose and then tried to shrink her. To his surprise she didn't shrink."

"YOU FOOL. I'M A GTS-GODDESS. THEREFOR CAN'T NOT BE SHRUNK."

Steve did remember reading that's goddesses could not have their size altered. He barely had time to move out of the way before Rose's foot came down.

"I got to get bigger." Steve thought to himself. He began to grow and grow, within moments Stephen was 600 feet tall, the same height as Rose. To his amazement Rose just stood there watching him grow.

"Now it's a fair fight." Steve told Rose.

"That's what you think." She replied before she disappeared from sight.

"Where did she go?" Steve wondered. Then he felt a strong push from behind he then felt flat on his face, crushing homes and neighbours too stupid to flee earlier.

"I was Mr. G's darling once. There was even talk of getting my autobiography written.

But now Sizechangers are the rage and GTS-goddesses are rarely heard from." Rose complained.

"I don't care." Steve said as he got up. He made a fist and lunged at Rose who easily got out of the way. He made swing after swing at Rose but couldn't make contact.

"Oh man, where's a gun when you need one?" Steve complained.

"THIS IS HOMELAND SECURITY" A voice boomed over a loud speaker. "Surrender or we will open fire."

"MAKE MY DAY HUMANS." Rose shouted back.

The military then opened fired with attack helicopters and tanks.

"Stop. I'm an American citizen." Steve told the armed forces. But they kept on firing. Then one of the helicopters fired a missile that severed a vein in Steve's neck. He then crashed to the ground. The next thing he knew he was back in the classroom.

"Are you all right?" The Masterchemi asked Steve.

"I guess. I was under the impression we would be going through the simulation together."

'That was the plan. But someone hacked your feed."

"Would that someone happen to be Rose Crusher? That's who I meet in the VR."

"I doubt that. Rose and her fellow GTS-Goddesses are too busy fighting mini goddesses and SW's to deal with sizechangers."

As the Masterchemi was talking, Paul came out of VR.

"Thought you said that we couldn't die?" Paul asked the Masterchemi.

"You couldn't die for real. But you can die in the simulation."

"Say where we you? We looked for you, but couldn't find you."

"I got hijacked by a GTS-Goddess named Rose Crusher." Steve explained. "Tell me what is this simulation everyone else is in?"

"Well in the simulation, we're working for Sizechanger for Hire and then several clients come in with various missions for us. One client is a demon representing an earth where demons have taken over. None of us wanted to work for demons. Other client is a bunch of mega's who hate normal sized people. Tracey went to work for them.  And finally there was the American government that was twisted and evil. They are the ones us Jones ended up with." Paul then turned the Masterchemi.

"Are there really armies of shrunken women out there who work for Dolly Hitler or did you make that up?"

"Dolly Hitler and her armies really exist." The Masterchemi replied. "So do the mega's. And there really is a company called "Sizechanger for hire".

"What about the demon world? Did you make that up to?"

The Masterchemi refused to answer him.

After about an hour, every one was out of the simulation.

"Man that felt real." Tracey commented.

"You could probably make a fortune selling VR experiences to tourists." Patrick commented.

"This is the plan for the rest of the training. The rest of the day will be classroom instruction. Tomorrow we will be heading out the size islands. Expect for Steve who will be returning to his native earth. You will receive further training from your wife Steve."

"Can I go to Steve's earth as well?" Tracey asked.

"No!" The Masterchemi replied.

"Why on earth would you want to know where Rose Crusher is?" Deborah asked Steve. She could tell by the look on Steve's face that something had happened during training. But never saw this coming.

"I think that she hacked into my VR. I think she's after me." Steve replied.

"I doubt that. Even if she was after you, which I doubt, she would attack you directly, not through some VR program."

"Still, could you keep an eye on her?"

"GTS-goddesses are not easy to track. And we could end up getting her attention. I don't know her personally, but I have heard that she's not one to have mad at you."

"I fear she may be already mad at me."

To be continued

Chapter 3 by Mr_G

Chapter 3

"Do you want to see more of Sizeloa?" Deborah asked her husband.

"Not right now. I have to go back to work tomorrow and I got a lot to think about." Stephen replied.

"All right." Deborah said before opening the Trans universe portal.

"Ah, it’s nice to be home." Steve said as soon as he emerged from the portal.

"Its 4pm Eastern Time, just in time to start dinner." Deborah commented.

"I could have sworn it was later than that."

"Hilta is several hours ahead of this time zone."

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"Now who can that be?" Steven wondered. He opened the door and his jaw dropped in shock. His boss from work was standing there.

"MaryAnn Owens? What are you doing here?" Stephen asked.

"I was just in the neighbourhood. Mind if I come in for a moment?"

"I guess so."

"Who is it Steve?" Deborah frowned when she saw Ms. Owens.

"Oh. It's you."

"Nice to see you too Deborah. Must say this house is unusual. It's not every house that has its own portal to the AWEA home world."

"You know about that?" Stephen asked.

"I have equipment that detects cross time portals. And I know that you were out of this universe for the last few days."

"You know that it's illegal to spy on people." Deborah pointed out.

"You're not a legal alien Deborah Law. What would the government do if they knew the truth about you?"

"You have known her true nature for a while now. Why bring it up now?"

"I'm curious Stephen. Why didn't you come clean with me when asking for time off? What happened on Sizeloa, that you have to keep quiet?"

"That mere fact I went to other planet means I have to keep it quiet. It's not something one can discuss openly."

"You can discuss it with me. I know about the multiuniverse."

"No I can't." Steve muttered to himself. Out loud he said.

"If you really most know I went to see my in-laws on Sizeloa."

"Considering that most of Sizeloa is off limits to humans that is quite a feat. Unless they live in the Size islands."

"They don't. So I had to get special permission."

"I got to go, but I will be keeping an eye on you Mr. Miller."

"Something tells me she's going to a problem." Steve told his wife after his boss had left.

"What are you going to do now?"

"Right now, I'm going for a walk in the park. I got a lot to think about.

The park was just a few minutes walk from Steve's front door. He loved to go there to clear his mind. And he certainly had a lot on his mind these days.

'This gets more completed by the day." Steve thought to himself. "Now the boss is on my case. She's not going to like having a sizechanger on staff. Her "Stan growth and shrink Rays" friends could also cause trouble. My parents are other concern. Would they accept a sizechanger son? What would they think of grandkids that are sizechangers?

On the other hand, the human haters are out there along with Rose Crusher. I might need to defend myself. Also it would be nice to be the equal of my wife."

"Hello Steve."

Startled looked around but didn't see anyone. What he did see startled him. Everything seamed to be frozen. Even the leaves on the trees the pair of joggers in the distance.

"What's going on here?" Steve asked.

"I froze time." The voice replied.

Steve turned to face the voice and this time saw the tiny figure on the park bench. It was a blond woman dress in a jump suit. Being only nine inches tall, she looked like a doll.

"Who and what are you?" Steve asked.

"My name is Tina. I'm a mini goddess." The blond replied.

"You’re responsible for freezing everything."

"Freezing time is one of my powers. I can also travel in time. I temporally froze time, so I can talk to you without causing a stir along the local humans."

"Talk about what?"

"First off, you don't have to worry about Rose Crusher. She's just jealous that GTS-Goddesses don't get the story play they used to."

"Story play? I don't know what you mean."

"And you not meant to. Now is not the time to tell you the true nature of reality."

"Did she actually hack into the VR?"

"She had one of her super witch friends do it. But she was the mastermind behind it. Like I said, she can't hurt you."

"She's 600 feet tall and an goddess to boot. She can hurt me very easily."

"You're forgetting one thing. Her Maker, Mr. G won't let her hurt you."

"Rose Crusher was made?"

Tina nodded.

"I suppose you know all about my dilemma."

"To be a sizechanger or be human that is the question. You know many people aren't given a choice. They are transformed and that's that."

"You mean like the Jones family."

"Yes, although I was thinking more of the lines of mini goddesses and GTS-Goddesses."

"A human can be transformed in a goddess?" Steve asked, surprise showing in his voice.

"Most GTS-Goddesses and all mini goddesses were human once." Tina replied.

"So you were human once?"

"Yes. And before you ask I didn't ask to become a mini goddess. But I'm glad I did."

"As interesting as this discussion is, it doesn't solve my problem. Should I remain a sizechanger or I'm a better off as a human."

"Only you can answer that question Steve."

"You can't show me what will happen if I make choice A instead of choice B."

Tina shook her head. Then she said.

"How fair would that be? Why should you have that advantage over anyone else?"

"Being a time traveler you do. You had seen my future. Meet my kids. Do I have any kids by the way? "

"You will have a daughter, followed by a son. Please don't ask for details on their lives."

"Tell me this, is Jerktor a threat to me?"

"He's a threat to the whole human race. Keep an eye on him and his fellow human haters. Regards of what you chose, he and others who think like him are a threat."

"You're not making my choice any easier."

"What makes you think the Masterchemi will give you a choice?" Tina said before disappearing from sight. Then the world unfroze.

Interlude

Two huge women of mega giantess stature look into a crystal ball. One's a blond, the other a redhead.

"She had to tell him, about my hack." The redhead complained.

"At least that mini goddess bitch didn't reveal your name." The blond replied. "Not that there is much he can do against a super witch."

"Tell me Rose. Why so interested in this mortal? You GTS-goddesses are involved in a huge war involving hundreds of Earth's. Yet you're wasting your time and mine spying on him."

"I have my reasons." Rose then whispered into the redhead's ear.

"Do your really believe that?"

"Would I lie to you Debbie?"

"Hmm. Maybe this isn't a waste of time after all."

End interlude

"How was your walk honey?" Deborah asked.

"I met a time traveling mini goddess named Tina." Steve replied.

Deborah did a double take, then realized he was serious.

"I've heard of mini goddesses. But I've never heard of a time traveling one. Why did you two talk about?"

He told her.

"Hmm. Life sure has gotten interesting for you lately." Deborah commented.

"Yeah. Maybe too interesting." Stephen replied.

"Glad you could finally make it to dinner Steve."

"Me too mom."

Suddenly the roof came off the house and an angry giant looked down at them.

"Fe fi fo hum. I smell human scum." Jerktor said.

"Don't worry I'll take care of him." Steve said before shrinking Jerktor down to size.

"How did you do that?" His mother asked.

"I'm a Sizechanger now." Steve explained.

Then next thing Steve knew he was looking at a gun barrel. And his dad was holding the gun.

"It was bad enough that you married that evil sizechanger." He told his son.

"Deborah is a good sizechanger now." Steve pointed out.

"Silence!" His dad shouted.

"I was hoping for grandkids. Instead I got those two monsters." His mom pointed to two teenagers in the room. One was a brunette, the other a dark haired boy.

"We're sizechangers, not monsters." The boy said. But Steve's mom pulled out a gun from somewhere and then blew the heads off the teenagers.

There is no place in this family for sizechangers." His father said. He then started to pull the trigger.

Stephen then woke up with a start.

"Nightmare?" Deborah asked.

"I should have known you find that material we found on Rose Crusher disturbing.

"Actually it involved Jerktor and my parents. Our future kids even made a brief appearance."

"I doubt Jerktor would go after your parents. And he wouldn't dare go after my kids. Go back to sleep Steve."

"It was my parents that went after the kids." Steve wanted to say, but didn't have the nerve.

"I hope that nothing goes wrong today." Stephen muttered to himself as he entered the office. The second he walked through the door, trouble started.

BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!

"What the heck is that?" Stephen asked.

A tall brunette then came up and turned off the alarm. Stephen groaned when he realized it was his boss.

"In my office now Mr. Miller."

"Now the shit hits the fan." Steve thought to himself as the office door shut behind them.

"Care to explain why the sizechanger detector went off when you entered the office?" Ms. Owens asked Stephen.

"Um. There's a sizechanger hiding in my briefcase." Stephen replied.

"Oh really? Let’s have a look then." Mary Ann then fished through the briefcase and to Steve's shock fished out a four inch blond woman. Steve eyes widen when he recognized the tiny blond.

"Is this a friend of yours?" Mary Ann Owens asked.

"Her name is Tracey Smith. I don't really know her that well." Steve replied.

"Care to put me down Ms. Owens?"  Tracey asked, not at all liking being held upside down.

"I take it this little blond is a sizechanger."

"She is. I don't know why she was in my briefcase."

"Hey I was curious about where Steve's works. I didn't expect to get detected so easily. Put me down or else."

"Or else what?"

Tracey then began to grow. Within seconds she was too big for MaryAnn to hold. Then she grew back to normal height. Meanwhile Ms. Owens was getting out her size change gun.

"Surely that's not necessary."

"You have five minutes to get out of my building Ms Smith or else deal with my size change gun."

" All right I'm going. Some day "Stan's growth and Shrink Rays" will go out of business." Tracey predicted.

"OUT!" Mary Ann screamed.

"SIZECHANGERS ROCK!" Tracey shouted as she ran out the door.

"Stupid bimbo. Don't the sizechangers know that I hate them?" MaryAnn asked.

"Not all sizechangers know you. By the way, since when did this place have sizechanger detectors?"

"They are a recent attention. We are still working out the bugs. Like that alarm tone."

"It is kind of loud." Steve admitted.

"Honey! Would you love me no matter what?"

"You know I would." Deborah replied. Then she frowned.

"You decided to become human again."

Steve nodded.

"Mind if I ask why?"

"There are several reasons. Hate to lie to my parents about my species.  And I'm not sure they would accept sizechanger grandkids. Ms. Owens is also a concern. She actually put Sizechanger detectors in the office.

"What!" Deborah cried.

"Fortunately Tracey Smith had sneaked into my briefcase. I was able to blame the alarm going off on her. But I can't use that excuse in the future."

"You can always look for another job."

"True. But I still have my other concerns. Things like having the masterchemi in my mind. Don't like that."

"Few Sizechangers do. What about the human haters?"

"I'll rely on you to protect me from Jerktor and his friends."

"All right I contact the Masterchemi and let them know of your decision."

"Are you sure you want to do this?" The Masterchemi asked Stephen.

"Yes! I want to be human again." Stephen replied.

The Masterchemi then touched his body. He felt something leaving it and then he felt his body changing. After ten minutes the Masterchemi said.

"You are now human again."

"Can we talk?" The Masterchemi asked Deborah.

"About what? Stephen made his choice."

"We didn't completely change him back." The Masterchemi told her. "His children will be Sizechangers."

"Really? So he still producing Sizechanger sperm?"

"Yes, that is correct. And before you ask, Steve doesn't know."

"And I won't tell him. Mom will be glad to know our kids will be Sizechangers."

Interlude

Rose was looking at the crystal ball when she felt someone arrive on her shoulder.

"Who the hell are you?" Rose asked.

"Name is Tina. I'm a mini goddess. Still wasting time spying on Steve?"

"That's none of your business, mini goddess."

"Neither is it yours."

"He provides a distraction from the war. And I wonder what the Masterchemi are really up to."

"I've seen what the Masterchemi are up to and it's not good."

Tina then disappeared from sight before Rose could question her.

End interlude

"Is the experiment a success?" Several Masterchemi asked the one that emerged from the Trans universe portal.

"As far as Steve knows he's a human again. He does not suspect the truth."

"Did you tell his wife the truth?"

"Part of it. I told her that his kids will be Sizechangers. Did not tell her about the rest of our modifications."

"Good. The longer they are in the dark the better."

"You're so mean."

The Masterchemi were startled and then they saw the mini goddess in their mist.

"You dare to judge us Tina?" They screamed.

"You lied to Stephen Miller. Said he had a choice. Instead you turned him into one of your experiments."

"It's not your concern mini goddess. Besides what can you do about it?" the Masterchemi asked Tina. Tina didn't answer them.

Stephen half expected the alarm to go off when he entered the office. But it didn't.

"Yes. I really I'm a human again." He thought to himself.

The end for now
