A series of loosely connected stories based around 'Subtraction Syndrome' A genetic mutation accidently released upon the world at end of the second world war.  The Syndrome is a double edged sword, mutiating two genes in the human genome, one affecting a large minority of a population, causing them to diminish in size at random, and the other effecting a majority of a population, causing them to loathe those who are deemed "afflicted"
