That is not where I expected this story to go, but I suppose I can see why you had to do it to continue to move the story of Andy and Kimberly forward.
It really makes me glad to see a writer taking their characters and situations seriously instead of just forcing an unlikely pairing together. Your characters are internally consistent and make for interesting dynamics!

Thanks for the kudos. Within a few chapters, I fell in love with these characters and wanted to give them a good story. I think the suspense will make later romantic scenes that I envisioned from the beginning all the more exciting.
