I just realized I forgot to comment when you first posted it(!), and I can't really decide what to write here -- there are just too many things in here :)

I feel tempted to comment that I didn't expect it to end so fast, but the truth is, I thought you had quit, and I definitely didn't expect a sequel, so... XDDDDDDDDDDDD

I had the whole thing written before I posted the first chapter here, I wanted the later chapters to include art from Smushed Boy.  I originally planned on the training taking several chapters, but my PhD program was starting and I wanted to get Smushed Boy a finished story.
