Hmmmmmmmm! If Sam had to wish for GTS-goddesses to remain the same size, he must have thought the Bad Apples might try to use those enlarging rays to become Drenic-sized. Because, after all, GTS-goddesses are shrink-proof!*
*Unless one comes from that alternate-Earth where weaponized Spellbreaker gas was invented, to neutralize that particular invulnerability of theirs! ;-)

Wouldn't the bad apple goddesses have remained the same size when Susan wished for the earth to be enlarged to Drene proportions, even without Sam wishing for the bad apples to remain the same size? Since goddesses are size-change proof, doesn't this mean it was pointless for Sam to make his wish, because even if he didn't, the bad apples would still have stayed the same size.

True it was kind of pointless. But Sam didn't want to take any chances.
