Hmmmmm! How did the symbiote know about Spidey if it never bonded with him before? Did it separate from the Eddie Brock that traveled to Counter-Earth in the previous "Spider-man" cartoon series? Only to somehow be sent back to our Earth in an alternate past? Will these questions be answered, at the end of the next chapter, by the truest believer of all?
