First off this is a really well written chapter. Loved it. I think you make it real when you mention SNL and Kohls. It adds realism.
Angela is right when he can barely reach the knob. Loved her picking him up and holding him on her hip. His comment about not doing it in the hallway was a good one. Reminds me of a child not wanting to be seen with his parents.
When Angels said he was like a second child he did not disagree. Basically he condones that opinion. Will Angela get to a point where she has to discipline him?Maybe she disciplines Celeste and him at the same time.
I am sure Celeste is not going to be happy when Angela talks to her about the way she treats him and uses her size advantage.
When Angela comes back at 9 will she tuck him into bed?

No need for apologies, Guy, Much as we might hate to admit it, real life can rear its ugly head at any unpredictable moment. But, that being said, I will draw the line at 12 MONTHS between chapters! ;-)
As for this chapter? Angela makes a lot of sense. But, I think we all know it's going to be more dangerous, in the short term, for him to NOT to lock that door!
