Great first chapter. I like more often when a story builds up. It gives you more context of how the characters behave and gives the story mor sustenance. It lets you have more attachment to the characters and gives them a little more humility. Cannot wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: I prefer it more too, it's easier to personally feel for the main character and ultimately gives a better story. But I do feel there are people out there who want nothing but action and grow impatient. And trust me, it's hard for me too writing all the build up when all I want to do is get to the good stuff... Lol.
