I like this kind of historical settings. I think though, that by choosing her to be a giantess, instead of her being a woman to simply shrink men, it becomes somewhat difficult to tell the story in an at least somewhat "realistic" way. 

Her being so tall also makes her an easy target and would make it easy for the Germans to bring her down. Well unless you give her more superpowers, which would hurt that historical setting even more.

Still I enjoyed the story. If you plan to make it a longer series though, imho it might be easier to do that with a woman, who can shrink men under certain conditions, instead of her being an all mighty gigantic Goddess.
