Nice set up, but you seemed to jump right in to the scientific part before really explaining 'how' or 'why' he has this type of 'machine'?
A little more build-up would have made it more believable, even as it is a fantasy, still though, nice, but short, opening chapter...
I assume we're about to meet 'Bekah', in the following scene? Maybe sence she'll become 'the' giantess, you should really discribe her in a well defined excessiveness...
Right down to her likes, and dislikes, even her favorite color... Naw, just kidding! But, she doe's need to be discribed fairly well, before she arrives?
