I like how everything seems to be converging toward this party now, with the various prior threads of the story all at least being touched on tangentially with this chapter. Normally I turn my nose up a little at Jenna but I kinda love that little gesture where she holds her finger over Naomi's face. Also interesting to hear mention of her emotional difficulties, which I was not expecting to see come up; still crossing my fingers that that thread gets tugged a little more down the line. I was glad too that we got to see Claire reacting to Corey's absence, as I'd been curious if she'd just let such a thing drop. Judging by how suspicious she appeared that Melody would goof something up, I assume the matter isn't closed for her. I am very very curious to see if that's a conflict you choose to play with at some point. Finally it was nice to see Naomi coming back into contact with Steph after all the turmoil. A sweet little cliffhanger end there.

Amazing chapter, it sure was a lot to take in. I feel like I understand what happened at the end. But I also feel like I don't understand what happened at the end.

So, let me get this striaght. He's neither growing nor shrinking. He merely interfered with his bacta treatments (if you'll excuse the SW reference) partly to shower with Melody. And, partly, to have a semi-legit excuse not to go to the party (due to still-sensitive bones).

I just found this story and I do believe I was so hooked I read it all in no time I couldn't stop then I saw the other Omega series stories and read them all as well and I am currently reading this again! Oh my god man! the feels and the storyline are amazing also the universe you have created leaves me begging for more please please keeping writting on this series for as long as possible!!!!

So, Claire is the first Omega able to control the temperature of this mysterious "Fire," huh? Intriguing! The closest comparison I can think of is: what if a certain galaxy far, far away had been governed by the Dark Side of the Force right from the start? Only to have a Light Side-oriented "heresy" develop?

WOW!!!!!

So, this is the trend-setting tale from which Nostory got the inspiration to do his Omegaworld pastiches. Absolutely riveting! And, I mean that in the sense that I've read these first eight chapters straight through!! Something unusual where my reviews are concerned.

That being said; let me prolong my long-windedness by praising you on the plausibility of all your characters' emotional displays. Jenna and Marion, especially! They both seem to feel that greater height makes right. The only real difference between them (aside from size and mass) being the way they implement their attitudes.

Marion = indiscriminate persecution and torture.

Jenna = smothering over-protectiveness.

Sounds like some ominous premonitions this chapter, I guess it could be a few things. It could be Suicide, or a stubborn action that Corey is doing for Melody, or even a dark and twisted action that may show us more of Corey's recently damaged psyche. I hope to see this cliff-hanger resolved.
