How the frig did I miss this? Ah, well! It was a great chapter. I especially loved the homage to that vintage sit-com gag where somebody is bad-mouthing someone else, only to finally realize the subject of the tirade is right behind them. Classic! :-)

I'm going to say Helen. The others were fairly stupid, but their deaths were due partially to bad luck as well as a little bit of pour planning.

Gordon probably figured, as most people do, that a water current wouldn't effect him as long as he's not swimming in it.

Jeffery was purely bad timing, and I doubt many people would be able to run if a giant fight like that broke out in front of them. I wouldn't be surprised if he had been in shock and was too frightened to move.

Tom was another case of bad luck and bad timing.

Helen though...Helen has no excuse. First of all, she challenged a GTS-Goddess to a growth match. That alone is stupid. Next, she made herself grow 70 miles tall. I highly doubt it was instantaneously as no body and no amount of science could let someone handle such an instant change, so I bet she had time to reverse the effects when she realized she was too high. Everyone knows you can not breathe in space. Finally, out of all the deaths, I'd say her' s would have been the most horrific. For one thing, the lack of air pressure would have gotten to her as well as the lack of oxygen. Oh, and may I remind you, SHE CHALLENGED A GODDESS TO A GROWTH MATCH!!!!
