This is a wonderful story, such a well executed premise. I like that Dylan maintains her happy illusion, and look forward to seeing where it goes.

I have always adored this type of story, and you're absolutely doing the concept justice here! Dylan is initially so callously dismissive of her, it makes it all so wonderfully unfair! And the notion of Mary being a birthday present is barely a step removed from literal objectification, and I'm all here for it!

And sure, the moment of genuine aftercare was sweet to see, I do still hope that we will get more of Dylan's unashamedly lustful side in the next chapters.
