I thought this chapter read well, but I question its value in the overall story.
What did we learn about our characters, and how did the plot advance? I don't think we learned anything about Amy - we already know she's a little freak. We got a more intense view of the monster inside Tess, which was interesting. And we got some bureaucracy, everyone's favorite part of erotica.
I'm just not sure why we needed the contract. We already had red/yellow and a verbal promise that Amy wants to make it to graduation. Now that you've spent 6k words on it, the contract better be important in the future.
To be clear, I did not hate the chapter. We did learn a bit about Tess, and the dialogue is working to slowly deepen their relationship. Even if we already know who Amy is, it's still fun to watch her be a freak. More than anything, I love the authenticity of the story.
I liked Amy's fascination with the retainer! I would read a whole chapter of Tess just holding objects next to Amy. Fork, chopstick, tweezers. Bonus if there's some food to demo on.
A suggestion: when Tess goes somewhere else, take the reader with her. Show us the twisted desires of her mind, if only for a paragraph or too. I just don't feel enough "punch" from the monster right now, and from an editing perspective I think it would help add flair to otherwise dry segments of text. Hopefully you can introduce it more directly now that Amy has insisted on hearing what Tess thinks, but you could also easily drift into Tess's internal monologue at any point, for the reader's benefit.
Also, did Tess not tell her story or am I dumb?

In short, yes the contract will be important. Part of my goals for story as a whole is to examine BDSM dynamics, in a way that might be a little on the "basic" side of things when it comes to kink knowledge. I don't just want to throw sadism and masochism at the wall, I want to demonstrate them in "proper" ways. Throwing aside most of the realism in favor of smut, I'm hoping to still make it feel real by using my own BDSM experiences and understanding.
I think the contract as an artifact of a relationship is rather fun, and kinda sets the "rules" for how both the story will unfold and the characters. Power transfer sometimes needs more than the stop light system, and sometimes a contract helps crystallize the dynamic.
However; it's a living document! It grows as the people do, reflecting the lessons learned in the relationship. It's the BDSM equivalent to "going steady" and marks the beginning of their formal relationship. They cannot be girlfriends, and lack the interest and the tools for traditional romance. There will be no flowers or stolen kisses. There will be pain, as outlined in the contract.
I do intend to give Tess some more alone time coming soon, and thus more time to fantasize without Amy prying in. I definitely need to explore her character more, and that's easier when she's unrestrained from herself. At least, that's the hope!
As for Tess' story, she's weasled her way out of it! For now. Though I may have glossed over it a little. She's not ready to share, despite having agreed to. Despite Amy's freak flag flying, she still feels hers is freakier. The grass is always less kinky on the other side, eh? Don't worry, Amy and I won't let her off the hook ;)

Since this story is about confessions, I too have a confession to make.
I read your story called “Special Request” and I was taken back by how well written and developed it was. I even left a review which is rare in my case as I am a very passive lurker of most stories on this site. I thought to myself, “sure this author cannot do this again right? Surely this was a ‘one shot wonder.’” But man was I wrong when I read this story, multiple times in fact. You truly have a great talent for writing well developed characters, gripping plot, and immersive settings. This kind of story telling in particular is incredibly rare on the internet and it’s truly refreshing that a talented writer such as yourself is the one who is bringing this story to life.
I personally love the 4th chapter in particular and I hope to see more of that consensual sadomasochistic role playing in the near and frequent future. That particular scene with Amy under Tess’ shoe was especially memorable. Also I do concur with Amy’s sentiment about vore being an especially intimate experience and hopefully the couple can find some way to experience it without Amy getting permanently disposed of. Your descriptions of these thoughts and experiences are just so well written and I truly hope you continue writing this story.
Based on the reviews of others, especially since some of the individuals positively reviewing this story are also well established (and well respected) authors on this site, I see this story being a legend in the works. It would truly be a great shame to see this story become one of the many stories that have been neglected by the author’s “lack of continued interest” and disappear into the void.

As for Amy, it would be my ultimate desire to show the audience how vore can be romantic. I want to explore their dynamic a lot more, and give Amy those opportunities to enjoy the ultimate fantasy. Wow. Wow! I'm in awe at how good this is. I absolutely love it.
You really get what makes this fantasy appealing to me and others. It's so satisfying the way you put these feelings into words.
I love these characters. I love the inner conflict. I love how how Amy is the one to bring Tess out of her shell, and how it touches on the question of who's really in control. I love how Amy is confident and flirty, but melts into a little subby puddle before her dom. Conversely I love how Tess is the one who's outraged at a tiny's death being over covered up. Like, she's not the monster she thinks she is! It's just wonderful.
I will say that in the recent chapter, the story loses a lot without the internal monologue, but I also get that its this weighty story that needed to be told without the characters' thoughts chiming in. I don't know if it'd be better another way. Also I read the "choose what shoe to die under" bit like 3 times and I don't get it, but that might just be me.
The only thing thats really throwing me off is how fast this is moving in-universe. Like, Amy, you just met her and you're already asking her to put you in her mouth and step on you! Girl, do you have a death wish? Maybe that's intentional, and maybe it'll be explored.
I'm looking forward to reading more of it.

Tess getting a little more out of her shell will certainly help things move along as the plot develops! I really like the confident submissive/shy dominant dynamic and I feel like it's a good way to begin the powerplay. On one hand, Amy thinks about death a lot but there's no moral quandry for her. On the other, Tess feels the moral implications of what she enjoys. I think it's important to highlight that sadists struggle with that aspect more than people realize. It's hard having these fantasies, no matter who you are.
I was worried about the loss in momentum, but perhaps it just needs a little extra Amy POV flair. I wouldn't want to get too much into Amy's head with things but it might help contextualize stuff a little better.
The "shoe to die under" was supposed to be the tiny-equivelant for "choose which hill to die on" which may be something of an American-ism or perhaps I just need to frame it a little better. I'm giving this chapter an editing pass today and I'll see if I can clarify that part. I appreciate the feedback!
You have correctly pointed out the pacing! It's certainly fast, but partly due to genre convention. I might be a little frustrated myself if I was nearly 20k into a story without any mouths or stepping but perhaps this is all a little too fast even for a size story. I plan to address that in future chapters, as it sorta reflects my own IRL experiences with D/s dynamics. People really hit it off, go back to their place after the date, and then some power transfer without really taking the time to discuss things.
While I want some healthy(ish) BDSM dynamics to be displayed, I think it's also important to highlight that 1) This is smut and kinda needs to move fast but also 2) Some relationships do move this fast and it can be unhealthy. All to be addressed in future chapters!

Great chapter! Excellent world building, and a gripping anecdote. I was surprised at how little Amy knows about giant society, but it’s a fun plot device.
I would love to see Tess act out her darkest urges on Kacy, but I sort of agree with Amy that that’s not the point of this story.
”What’s a food processor?” Hahaha oh no.
Some of Amy’s retelling reads more like prose than dialogue. E.g. “swinging her fists uselessly”. Just a little awkward, not too distracting.
Amy’s a fighter! But I think she lacks something to fight for right now. She doesn’t view her life as having any intrinsic value, due to her short expected lifespan. But she still wants to have the accomplishment of graduation. I hope the joy she finds in her relationship with Tess becomes the the thing she wants to fight for.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll definitely make some small changes for this chapter. It was definitely an experiment, to get out of having to just roll dialogue walls and also step outside of Tess for a little. Sometimes I kinda forgot it wasn't prose.
I like to think that their mutual misunderstandings of each other are a lot of fun to play with, (and a bit of a worldbuilding cheat!) and I like to imagine the class where they met was the first giant-tiny cross-cultural class they have attended. So they're both trying to learn more about where the other is coming from.
I'm definitely getting close to the shoe needing to drop, as it were, onto the crux of the plot. I certainly want Tess to take out revenge but I'm not entirely sure it would make sense for where I'm trying to take her character. Likewise for Amy, I don't want to just do what would be hot and fun. There's a lot of deeper character exploration that needs to happen before we get to that point, and I'm hoping people are willing to stick around for that ride!

I love its the fact its the tiny who dominates the conversation and dynamic outside of the sexy-time here, she's playing with fire and loves to get burnt.

A lot of chapter 4 being this tension of "holy fuck this person is terrible for me but so perfect for me" is so good. They both know things won't end well if they get together, but how can you resist that pleasure? The careful dance of satisfying the monster inside Tess while leaving her tiny lover just barely clinging to life... It's so exhilarating. I truly wasn't sure if she was gonna end up a red smear or not.
I am biased towards this chapter as well because I fucking love shoe crush stuff lol but it's also made me think about my own "role" in this. I'm a masochist. Extremely masochistic. I don't want to die, but I also don't.... DON'T want to die. If the opportunity to be stomped by a pretty giant women came, I'm unsure how I'd react. Setting boundaries and safewords is important but at the same time, I find it really hot when those boundaries are crossed and my pleas are ignored. So what do I do? What does the giant do? Do we just trust in our base instincts of love for each other to pull us out of whatever happens? It's a lot more thought provoking and emotional than a lot of content, and both types have their place obviously, but this story and your musings are definitely gonna stick with me for a while.

I'm touched that this story struck to the core of your connection to masochism. I certainly agree that there's a lot more complexity to wanting to die/kill for your partner. I'm a sadmomasochist, so I'm a bit caught on that fence depending on who I'm with. Ultimately I'm a hedonist, so not quite like the emotional sadism I've painted onto the self-insert.
In this specific shoe crush scene, the urges did not win out. But it's reasonable to think sometimes they would. If you had the opportunity at any time, it is certainly be fun to dangle over the edge. How close to the edge do we get before we want to try crossing a line? What happens when the lines move? Which sorts of pain enrich our lives, and which sorts harm us permanently?
I'm not sure there are answers to these questions, much less that I have answers at all. But I do know how it feels and how these characters will move through it. I hope they continue to resonate with you <3

Not just for being alive (because tinies in my stories tend to die) but also for something (arguably) much more important! I think it's very rare to find someone who reciprocates your fantasies. It's nice to meet someone who shares the same fantasies as you but it's another thing entirely to meet someone who's sexually attracted to doing things to you which sexually stimulate you.
They are both lucky for finding each other. They are also both in danger of consequences. As for being prepared, we shall see!

I think it's an often under-explored facet of this kink: consensual nonconsent. We see a lot of violence and there's a line drawn around gentle. But there's something in the middle, which is where I often play IRL. Playing out these fantasies in a safe way while still having the freedom to scream and struggle and beg <3
I do think the crux of the story is the begging. It's a struggle as a sadist to understand someone's deliciously painful fantasy. It is incredibly difficult to hold back, especially when they're so small and cute. How can we resist, indeed?
