It’s such a brilliant idea to create a spin-off of the main series. There are so many aspects of the universe you’ve created that can be explored, but they would make the main story far too long. Separating them into spin-offs gives you the freedom to delve into entirely new scenarios and explore a lot of creative ideas!
Whenever I read the chapters, I always found myself wondering how many of the elements in this universe would work. Some concepts seemed difficult to fit into the current story or with the existing characters (so I just kept imagining them on my own). But now, with these spin-off stories, so many possibilities have opened up!
Here are some suggestions to spark your creativity for the future!
Considering that some Downsizers might not be able to immediately afford to move into cities designed for them and would need to work to save up money, here are a few ideas:
Mixed-size offices: I’ve always found office dynamics interesting, and I think it would be fascinating to explore the relationships between humans and Downsizers working together in the same environment.
An adult film studio: That’s right—one of my favorite themes! Perhaps there’s a woman who was kicked out of her original studio because she was too rough with the Downsizers she worked with. Later, she joins an underground studio where Downsizers aren’t officially registered, and the rules are much more lax. (This is inspired by one of your older stories that I really loved!)
A private tutor: Imagine a teacher who loves to teach but ends up hired by a family of regular-sized humans to homeschool their spoiled daughter. The father is always busy, and the mother could either be incredibly kind or delightfully narcissistic.
A Downsizer writer with writer’s block: To overcome his creative slump, he seeks out new experiences with humans of all kinds—foreigners, wealthy individuals, couples, his secretary, and so on. His journey to gather material for his book might lead to an unexpected twist: will he finish his story, or will he become the story?
A perverted photographer: A sneaky photographer who takes and sells candid photos of people online, or even fulfills specific requests for clients. But will his luck hold out, or will he eventually get caught?
Amnesia and new experiences: A human or Downsizer who loses their memory and experiences life with people of different sizes for the first time.
For example, imagine a human with amnesia encountering a Downsizer for the first time.
Or, a Downsizer who forgets that shrinking technology even exists seeing a human for the first time in their life.
Mixed-size sports: How would sports work in a world of mixed sizes? Downsizers and humans might not be able to compete against each other, but perhaps they could train together. Maybe there’s even a gym with separate areas for Downsizers—though sometimes they might end up in the wrong locker room!
A costume party: Imagine a Downsizer dressed as a ladybug at a party full of both humans and Downsizers. Who would win over the crowd using their pheromones? And where might those pheromones lead them later in the night?
Countries with Downsizer protection laws: Some countries might have laws protecting Downsizers, but only for citizens. Immigrants and tourists might face discrimination or hardships in such places.
A Downsizer accused of a crime: A Downsizer might be wrongfully accused of a crime, lose their registration, and have to survive on their own in this harsh world.
These are just some examples of the kinds of stories I think would be fun to read within this universe!

Your ideas are so good! I keep saying this to the others that I wish I had more time to write all these ideas. I've already settled on one, but I'll reference your comment in the future if I got time. Out of all of these, I like the pr0n studio one, the private tutor, countries with no protection laws for immigrants, and the crime one. Again, I wish I had more time to write this stuff out.

Loved this little peak into the wider Downsizing world, and definitely glad to see one of the best stories on this site in recent memory getting an expanded set of smaller stories! Loved Dakota, and in general I like when you have the cruel and merciless killings of tinies...be doled out in turn to the criminals who indulge or profit on it with a surprise downsizing given to them, and people with the same exact instincts as said criminals, but have proper empathy and a morality compass channel their darker urges into protecting the innocent and defenseless. You are a master of that and it is in display here with sexy times for Jason meeting the mood killer of Dakota's previous 'victims'. And as soon as Dakota realized this, she immediately reassured Jason that he's safe, and that she wants him to have fun too.
What I also like is, that while Jason is likable, he was someone who would've taken advantage of, and been a condescending prick to downsizers if that opportunity had been presented to him. He wanted a bite of the forbidden fruit before he was immediately made the victim of the situation, his life in constant danger, his agency and freedom stripped from him, and a front row seat to seeing giants and giantesses killing people around him casually. It allowed him time to re-evaluate and more likely than not save himself in the long run, growing in a character sense with the lesson he took from this immediately endearing him to Dakota, someone who if in a few years Jason went down a different path here...might have left him where Gloria ended up. And while a puny guy compared to even downsizers, it's clear that his sister loves him and Dakota, while a bit of a lustful woman, has absolutely no intention of abusing them.
Genuinely looking forward to little snippets of where you take this!
In terms of ideas I do have a few.
I had an idea for a 'Man vs Nature' or 'Crocodile Hunter' type show that involves a well read and well studied nature loving badass deciding to take the ultimate challenge and downsize, facing the environment with a downsized camera crew and staff...with the exception of his exasperated friend, partner and agent from way back when he got his start, and she tried and tried and tried to tell him this was a bad idea, he was biting off more than he could chew with this, but she sticks with him now as a giantess that sometimes has to take out the occasional rat, bat or scorpion because now her former boss can't handle them, and he is in denial about downsizing being a mistake and potential career killer. Could end with her taking charge and putting him in his place.
Another idea I had is something that I thought of between reading the stories of you and Omanahan88 (who is also killing it with The New Normal on controlling matriarchs) which is a DPS agent who is infertile and made herself a matriarch that is the most loving, wholesome, gentle, kind, emotionally supportive and affirming mom to some downsized kids she took in. Maybe she adopted them over time after rescuing them from bad situations and they had no home to go back to, probably came from extremely dark and abusive situations. But what she keeps an absolute secret from her sons and daughters, potentially with one brave older downsizer kid accidentally discovering this about their adoptive mom, is that she is the most cruel, sadistic, and drawn out torturer of criminals she finds, and humans she shrunk down feel the pain before they go to the grave. Maybe in the morning she doesn't even realize that her child knows this about her now, and warmly and gently greets them with maternal love, with them having to grapple with what they saw.
Just a couple of ideas I had, kudos on this spin-off for what has been a real treat to read! It's off to a promising start!

Yeah, Jason was pretty myopic in the beginning and it took a near-death experience for him to change his attitude and ways. His character development came right in time! I have a feeling we might see Dakota in the future.
Ding-ding-ding! We have a winner. I'm going to take your story idea about a Man vs Nature type show. Of course, it'll have my twist and flavoring to it. But I got some great ideas about making a survivalist show that features a downsizer. I hope you'll like. I already started writing it. Might take another week or two to finish.
But damn, I like your other idea too. Like I said to the other commenter, I wish I had all the time in the world to write this stuff out. So many great ideas. And yeah, I love Omanahan88's work! The wholesome themes in his stories are amazing!

This was a very special first entry honestly I love seeing the world expanded from its nicer to dodgier corners, no other world quite has that perfect blend of cruel AND gentle elements that makes it so wonderfully flexible - Dakota is a treasure! hell I'd be happy to see Ming again too.
You asked for suggestions so I'll apologise for the overload, I have tried to make them fairly varied from gentle to cruel.
Best of luck for the conclusion of Downsizing (will pray for a sequel haha)
And now for suggestions (I am so, so sorry)
An older cruel French aristocrat whose fine dining needs are only met by *willing* downsized men and women going on the one way trip, given this is a small field of treats to acquire she resorts to blackmailing tinies (threatening loved ones etc) to make them compliant and scrumptious.
After an accident loses their shipment ‘first gen’ downsizers, e.g. those born by those first shrunk end up lost and form their own detached primitive society in the local forest (lost at a very young age/don’t remember parents or the modern world) until many years later they are discovered by a gentle but mischievous normal sized teenager who’s happy to keep them thinking she is a real goddess.
Would love more Dakota, anything with her dispatching her captured yummy evil downsizers pretty please!
‘Naturalist’ downsizers who live happily at the bottom of a housewife’s garden, like a free spirited nudist hippie commune, gentle/playful, especially with a giant bored wife around with her husband being neglectful of her needs recently.
Downsizers.. In space! Introducing the first downsized astronauts to live and work on the international space station and the zero-g hijinks that ensues as NASA test how shrunken people react to this new environment, they will need very detailed and intimate research.
Anything willing pet related, kinky scene essentially (tiny likes the bigs being cruel!)
Stories with culture clashes/differences, one example being say a weeb ending up downsized accidentally in Japan but could explore the different perspective of other countries like your first entry, maybe some downsizers should've read the brochure that they don't exactly have rights in a certain country or language barriers getting in the way (good for gentle and cruel!)
Downsizers attend Comic-Con! Willing accessories to costumes, forced to endure the really overheated San Diego venue - one example e.g. girlfriend convinces boyfriend to complete her 50ft woman cosplay as a handheld prop, maybe even ending up passed around the beautifully dressed con-goers.
Downsized product testing, advancements must be made to make life better for all those shrunk, the hi-jinks of the tiny and large developers who make and try those toys and utilities, both from the domestic to the kinky, workplace accidents are a daily occurrence but the bosses know when to turn a blind eye, after all its all for the betterment of mankind… right? - could follow a new fresh out of college/uni intern who has been downsized since he can remember and is his first encounter with the ‘giants’ and his fellow seasoned tinies who are sick of their bullshit (funny).
Tiny/Giant dating app, both prospective partners having been telling porkies in their bio when a quick hookup goes off the rails when the giant says she’s downsized and the tiny say’s he’s a full size. Oops.
Beaches are always a fun option, here the local one is introducing its very first mixed sized area! for years tinies and giants could only see each other over the small wall segregating each other, of course, teething issues are to be expected with this brand new setup, the lifeguard may not check where she is sitting!
Downsized sex therapist, for biggos and smol! She tends to end up getting between her clients rather unprofessionally, are we quite sure she’s actually licensed or just a nympho pervert out for some fun?
Tiny minders, quite a few downsizers can’t afford utilities or to move to a specially built city/area and are forced to live in regular houses but these are simply not equipped to handle downsizers without a full sized human, so of course there are minder services who’ll take them in for a weekend with their big human away and letting the carers to have some playful fun with their charges.
A young rich man had been downsized all his life, living in his normal sized mansion he is cared and catered for by his team of full sized live in maids who are more than happy to have fun and care for their tiny master, perhaps even too eager.
The Misadventures of the DPS, buddy cop comedy with smol bad cop and good big cop and the bullshit they have to deal with from the general public.
The Lilliputian Lakes giant performing arts, after having a giantess walk through their city the citizens have been crying out to their local government to… allow them back in?! This population is filled with young youths who have never gotten the chance to see the bigs up close and personal. Now they want to join in on the fun and play with a giant or two bathing in the lake on ‘special’ visits, maybe even catch a sneaky peak or closeup look (family friend day sessions, maybe a bit more lewder student evening sessions)
Downsized themed TV dramas, movies and gameshows, jousting on mice! escaping a giant kitchen maze, the real giant housewives or seeing what life is like for the miniature big movie stars - you can barely see her on that red carpet! wouldn't want to be disliked by your much taller co-star down by her high heels right now...
Again, cannot wait to see what you cook up!

It's so hard to choose from your list of ideas. I wish I had more time to write them all. Out of all of them, I love the French aristocrat and the first-gen downsizers one. Also, I'm positive Dakota will make a reappearance. Don't delete your comment because I'll come back to it, I'm sure!
(Oh, and beaches might not be that great. Seagulls are a bitch to tiny people!)
