Nice closure at the end there. Initially I was expecting Trish to stay planetary in size with humanity living on her forever, but this was a nice enough route to go instead. It's nice that Trish was somehow able to shrink back in size so that she can be intimate with Thomas and her children once again. Kinda curious as to how humanity was able to survive living on Trish's skin during their trip to Mars...was Trish so big that she produced her own breathable atmosphere or did people live in vacuum sealed bubble colonies on her body during the adventure? Moot point either way, I know.

Anyways, nicely done for closure to this story on the whole. Good stuff!

So it was manifest destiny in the end, was it? The world needed a massive Trish to transport them to a new world, and now she gets to shrink back down and enjoy her family (unless she keeps going, down of course, but it sounds like she'd enjoy that, too!). I can't express enough how ecstatic I am that we got such a happy ending, even if it means my literal-goddess theory was wrong!

Those first few paragraphs were pretty cleverly put together, leaving Trish's fate ambiguous. That "Trish's gift to them all" line actually had me a bit concerned that she was either too big for this new world as well (we hadn't been told that it was Mars just yet) or that something else had happened to her.

But everything from "Go ask your mom" forward absolutely melted my heart!

The way Thomas, Trish, and Sophie picked on Junior was so endearing, and it was so nice to get a glimpse at the Thomas and Trish's children at that! We only got to know young Junior and Sophie in this chapter, but they jumped off the page with their unique personalities. It took almost no time at all for me to love reading them.

The size discussion between Trish and Thomas was so interesting. Her lying about how she felt at 20 feet tall just to turn on her husband was a very Trish thing to do, and her reasons for feeling so awkward about it made perfect sense. Also, I would assume that she went through maybe her most hostile time on the way up (that's when the FBI tried to turn her against him) might have had something to do with that too, but that's pure speculation on my part.

And I don't blame Trish being upset on the day that Thomas stopped fitting fully inside her. That's a hell of a thing to have to give up!

There were several Trish moments in this final chapter (hell, the whole thing could be considered a Trish moment unto itself), but I think I'm going to single out her "trying to eat" Thomas because of his cheekiness. That was insanely cute and really hot at the same time, which sums up my view of Trish as well as anything.

A close runner-up would be the way she reminded Thomas that he hadn't given her a pregnant belly yet. I was happy enough for her that she would be able to properly mother her children now, but to potentially be able to experience a real pregnancy and hold one of her newborn children, knowing how much it hurt her not to experience these things the first two times is a better future than I could have imagined for her based on even where the previous chapter ended.

Back to that size discussion, I was intrigued at how Trish's original attraction to big strong men not only stayed strong despite her growing lust at being larger than everything but actually seems to have evolved to the point that she finds the prospect of being super small equally as hot. She has a true size fetish now, which is a long way from where she was at the start, simply feeling as though the man should be bigger just because that's how this was supposed to work in her mind. It's like discovering that new part of herself that loved being big helped her to understand her old self so much better.

And, of course, part of that was her deeper realization that no matter which of them is bigger (or even if they're the same size), it's the fact that she's with Thomas that really does it for her. I think her feeling filled with Thomas's "finger-sized' cock was a beautiful metaphor to illustrate this, too.

If only she had figured all this out sooner, then she could have avoided that douche Jake altogether. To be fair, though, he ended up being pretty inconsequential to her anyway, in the grand scheme of things. But reading this made me think back to her previous relationship with him and how much deeper and more meaningful what she has now truly is.

Oh, and I loved how Thomas knew just what buttons to push with her during that conversation, as he always seems to. The fact that he could help her get in the mood with that kind of teasing was a great way to illustrate that his love for her was never just about her size (I mean, this has been pretty clear pretty much from the start, but hitting on that point one more time now that she's almost normal-sized again seemed appropriate here) and that he's just as willing to indulge her as she had been to do so for him this whole time. Again, beautiful.

And I love the way you ended the story. Having Trish explain that their story is never really over is as true as anything I've read in fiction. If these characters were real, they'd experience day-to-day life until well after their adventure had ended and the last page finished. Her emphasizing that is so meaningful because, despite being a goddess for a while and saving humanity, what she ultimately wants is just to live that day-to-day existence with the people she loves, and that's no less important than all the historical stuff, at least to her.

Also, yeah Thomas, how could you skimp on the sex scenes? What the fuck, man?!

Obviously I've been a huge fan of this story and particularly its two leads. I spent a lot of time in the early chapters talking about Thomas and most of the later ones about Trish, for obvious reasons, but both of them have been so delightful to read throughout. From those early days where both of them were fighting their feelings to this wonderful ending where they have a full family and are looking to add more, their journey has been such a fulfilling one to follow.

So thanks for sharing this story with us, and I look forward to reading whatever you put out next!

Bravo!!! What an accomplishment! I've never read a story quite like this one. I really appreciate the dedication to straining the imagination by having her actually go from tall woman to planetary goddess and back. And the idea of breaking the giantess out of the fantasy mold by constantly contrasting Trish against more stereotypical giantess characters was so fun. The scene of her using an abandoned town to play through her football helmeted boyfriend's monster giant woman fantasy was I think my favorite scene and I love how you wrote her as a person with her own specific kinks and character faults. I also love how well you did the raid gone wrong scene and the tension between her and the authorities in general. If the itch takes you I'd love to see you tackle another caught-in-the-middle giantess vs authorities narrative, I think you have a special flair for it. Maybe like a woman grows to 100 feet tall and has to begrudgingly be a special agent for the government via blackmail or something. ANYWAY, amazing job, very rare to have a giantess author go as hard as you did for this amazing tale!

It's amazing that you've found a way to make Trish being so ridiculously big not only be incredibly hot but also continue to play into such a compelling narrative. All the buildup from this slow burn up to now has made her so interesting that even when she can't speak or move she's intriguing to read about.

That's a hell of an accomplishment, and I'll admit that when you initially marked this story's size range to the most extreme categories early on, I had my doubts that this story would be able to hold on to what made it special when we started measuring Trish in miles, let alone when we'd start doing so by states! But you pulled it off, and I have no doubt that the final chapter, no matter how large Trish is, is going to be interesting and satisfying.

I mentioned that the last chapter was heartbreaking, as that was the chapter when Trish became too big to safely interact with humanity, namely her family. But the start of this one was a bit gut-wrenching. Not only finding out that Trish's growth had claimed lives (albeit it sounds like those people's stubbornness is as much to blame as her), but to see her blink an apology for stretching for the first time in three days was just so sad to read. Throughout this story, it's been made clear just how much Trish loves people, loves humanity as a whole, so knowing how much it bothers her that people are dying just because she exists makes me feel for her in a way I don't think I have for very many fictional characters.

And for her to want to know the damage she's causing, even when Thomas would rather protect her from it, just made me love Trish even more. People are small enough now that she could just pretend they aren't there and no one could really blame her. Hell, at her size, she could easily justify to herself that she needs to be able to move around and that she deserves to be comfortable. It's not even her fault that this has happened to her!

But, once again, she tries so hard to put everyone else before herself, like a true goddess would (I still haven't given up on that theory yet; we'll see what happens next chapter). It's really touching!

But with that mentality, it only makes sense that she lost that faith that had guided her for so long, that she stopped believing that she could will herself to not destroy the planet. Such a trying time would shake anyone's faith, I think. But that just made it so much more rewarding when that faith came flooding back as she realized that her purpose was to save the people of Earth, not destroy them.

This week's Trish moment was her blinking that everyone was invited to live on her body before the president was able to explain what was happening. That kind of made him discussing it with Thomas privately first kind of pointless (not from a narrative standpoint, but from the president's viewpoint, if that makes sense), but damn was it incredibly cute!

Also, holy shit did you do an amazing job of selling Trish's size here. From the devastating impact of her subtle movements stretching to her cutting lose a bit and having some fun altering the planet when it was only those who wanted to stay and die left on it, the way you demonstrate the effect that Trish is having on the world around her is enthralling. I personally enjoyed her admiring that her foot was the size of Florida as she rolled her ankle and stepped on it. That was such a fun way to make that point!

But you also kept things interesting by keeping us posted on some of the other characters that have shown up from time to time in the story. I love how Nancy, on some level, kept the faith that Trish wouldn't destroy the planet even when Trish privately wasn't able to do so. Between that and her little near slip of almost calling Trish goddess on live tv, it's clear that Trish as a person had a deeper impact on Nancy than the newswoman would care to admit.

I felt so bad for Melanie at the start of her segment. I was sad to read that she went from wanting to make amends with Trish and Thomas and even be friendly with them again when last we saw her to hating Trish, although I can't blame her for this. Not only did she lose her job and home because of Trish's growth, but she's been branded a heretic because of the religion formed around Trish (ironically, Trish would have never wanted this for Melanie). Even though my hope was that Melanie would be able to at least clear the air with our two protagonists before the end of the story, I'm glad that she got her happy ending and found a way to love again. It was a beautiful ending for her (I mean, she could show up in the last chapter, but what was written here feels a bit like the last word on her to me).

As a side note, after reading this chapter, I came away thinking that the Little Ones cult is so interesting that I almost wouldn't have minded reading a story just about them, not even for the size fetish perspective of Trish but just out of interest. I'm not saying that to encourage you, but rather to point out that, in a short period, you shaped a truly intriguing lose religious order that I kind of hate but in a good way. In particular, the way that Barry guy twisted Trish's cute little ones to mean members of the cult itself was a great example of how people abuse and misinterpret religion to mean what they want it to mean, and I found that as interesting as I did despicable.

I was also thrilled to see Jake get what was coming to him. He came off as a shallow, chauvinistic jerk when we saw him early on, and this chapter absolutely confirmed all of my worst thoughts about him. To be fair, I think Gianna is a fanatic (albeit an incredibly smart one) who was way out of line for what she did, but I just couldn't find myself to feel bad for Jake. He's a jerk, and he got what was coming to him. I am left to wonder if he made it onto Trish at all before the end of the world, though. I know it was implied that everyone who wanted on got on, but between the fanatics and that crazy rush that he was afraid of in the first place, it's tough to say for sure (at least in my mind).

So yeah, this was an awesome chapter, much moreso than I could have imagined going in, given Trish's immense size and the fact that this meant humans were pretty much invisible to her. But Trish's gentle nature won the day once again! I really look forward to seeing how you end this story. I've been holding out hope that she would eventually become small enough to hang out with her family, but with the way this one went down, that could potentially mean the end of all humanity! So I'm curious if you found a way to make that work somehow, or if the last chapter will just be some sort of epilogue for the people living on Trish as she drifts endlessly through space.

Like her, though, I have faith!

Well, the timeline certainly accelerated a lot more than I was expecting to in this chapter. Having said that, you did very well with the descriptors regarding Trish's size at this point in the story. Literally every single movement she would make at a thousand feet tall would be downright apocalyptic, even if she were to shift her body ever so slightly. I was a bit surprised that you ended up having the human race literally living on Trish in place of the planet, but I suppose she has enough deus ex machina power to fill in whatever gaps there are (the chief one would be atmosphere in my book). I suppose mankind can desalinate the water from her sweat in order to survive and irrigate crops and the like.

Wondering if Thomas will simply have to be content with living on Trish at this point in this story, given that nobody on the planet can satisfy her physically. Trish pretty much has to use her own fingers to do the job at this point. Also wondering if she'll basically just grow infinitely bigger for the rest of time, becoming literally MILLIONS of miles tall and beyond that. Will other planets end up revolving around her? Will she outgrow the very universe itself? The mind boggles and shudders at the idea.

In any case, this was a very enjoyable read, with a good mix of both smutty size-themed goodness with plot-based drama and all the twists and turns from Trish's evergrowing conundrum. Curious as to how this story ends, though it appears to be a somewhat "happy ending" generally speaking, given the circumstances and developments of this tale.

What a heartbreaking chapter this was.

The emphasis you put on Trish's size gradually isolating her from everything she loves is such a unique thing to see in a story on this site. Most stories here are about size giving women (and occasionally men) everything they want through the power of being big, but here Trish is slowly losing the only thing she wants, her family, by growing.

And worse yet, she can't even properly grieve about it for the sake of those around her!

I really like how this was presented, too. We started out with details of why Thomas and she stopped doing various things and how many close calls they had. Then, as her size became more extreme, we transitioned into something more resembling a timeline, marking negative milestones such as her no longer being able to see Junior with her naked eye (that one particularly struck me, for some reason). To me, this helped highlight how quickly her growth progressed through this time, updating us at hige jumps of 500 foot intervals from paragraph to paragraph. This was really well done!

Thomas's innovative approach to giving Trish as much of a life as possible was quite touching as well. The living space lens thing was a pretty cool idea, and it was nice that she could still see the kids and him even with the extremensize difference. It also allowed him to give her that trademark smile at the end of the chapter, helping her through such a painful time, just like always.

The tiny-controlled vibrator was a clever little idea, too! I figured he'd be riding in a giant dildo at some point, but it was cool that he found a way to be active in pleasuring his 1,000-foot wife as well. I also loved that she went from not super enthused but willing to try to orgasming three times! Based on the show she gave him before putting him in, I'm willing to bet that him being in there had just as much to do with that as the vibrating itself!

So Trish has a cult of Little Ones now, huh? I wonder what role they'll play as we're nearing the end of the story.

Oh, this week's Trish moment was her hugging the loving space with Thomas in it. She found a way to make almost accidentally crushing him to death look so cute!

I'm really curious to see how this story ends. I know this is a size fetishist site, and my horny brain is always saying, "Bigger!" but I do hope that Trish finds a way to hold her kids and fuck her husband proper one day. She's just someone who's so easy to root for, and given how well she has handled having so much power all this time, I'd say she deserves that much. But you've done a good job of keeping the ending hard to predict. I have no idea whatsoever what to expect in these last two chapters!

Curious as to the pacing of this story. Wondering if we'll be seeing time accelerating in the chapters to come, with several months passing per chapter and Trish ascending to god-like proportions in size.

I looked up some stats using Giantess World's converter (https://www.giantessworld.net/convertor.html). At a mile tall, Trish would weigh around 60 million tons or so, depending on what her original weight was when this started. Skyscrapers wouldn't even reach her knees (around 1400 feet high) at such a height. It would be around 3000 feet to reach her hips, 3700 feet to the cusp of her breasts (each of them weighing around 1 million tons each), and 4500 feet to her chin. Her middle finger(s) would be around 270 feet long, her labia would be over 130 feet long, and her vagina would be around 460 feet long/deep. Her nipples would be nearly 30 feet in diameter and stand around 50 feet long when erect. A single droplet of milk from her breasts would be around 36,500 gallons (weighing nearly 147 tons!). Each one of her hairs would be nearly 2 inches thick.

What would be most baffling (and frightening) would be Trish's movement. Every step she took (at her current size of around a mile high) would produce destructive power equivalent to a magnitude 6-level earthquake. If she were to stomp her foot down really hard, that would go up to a nearly a magnitude 7 in power. Her very movements would be felt for quite some distance (several miles, even tens of miles away I'd wager).

Also, Trish could very well now have her head in the clouds at this size. According to the Giantess Converter, the cloud layer starts at around 3280 feet from the ground, which would put lower clouds at around Trish's waistline roughly speaking. She would quite literally have her head in the clouds at this current size, with the cloud layer descending from her point of view as she grows larger and larger. Assuming Trish passed the 8 mile mark, her head will be above the uppermost level of the cloud layer (and just 2 miles away from the limits of the troposphere and Earth's oxygen layer). Assuming she can in fact go without breathing at that point, it'll be something to see how she interacts with the planet at such a size.

Of course, if (or when) Trish reaches 10 miles tall, literally every footfall she makes will produce power nearly equivalent to a magnitude 9 earthquake, with footprint-shaped craters so massive that they'd defy logic and be near impossible to fill or level out. Like many have feared, her mere existence would be an existential threat to the country and the human species at large, even if she weren't to act violently in any way whatsoever.

Even at "only" a mile high, people must basically be specks or gnats from her point of view. It must be extremely disheartening to live in a world where the difference in scale is so vast that Trish can't interact with anyone around her, especially her loved ones. Will she still be able to hold onto her humanity and not let power go to her head? Of course, you alone have the answer to that question, but it's something that would make the reader ponder as to whether or not Trish feels detached from the world and from everyone in it at this point, now that she's so much bigger than everything and everyone around her, and she's only growing bigger and bigger to boot.

All around, another splendid addition!

I can't say enough how much I love how subtly the callback to the power poses of the earlier chapters was done here. The poses aren't mentioned by name, but that raising of Trish's chin and that puffing out of her chest make it clear what she's doing. And what is it she's doing? Why bluffing, of course.

That's not to say that Trish wouldn't hurt the military if they hurt Thomas or the rest of her family, but I think that her doing so would be guided by spur of the moment emotion rather than making good on a threat. No, Trish is trying to intimidate her enemies here in the hope that things never get that far and maje sure Thomas stays safe. We see this conveyed, again in a ver nuanced manner, when she gives that full smile after the military agrees to let her family go, only to slip back into that stern look a second later, trying to hide her relief and keep the facade going. Mendleton noticing her breathe out herbtension looking over junior and the emotion she showed alone with her family seem to back this up as well.

And the confidence she was able to display in such a high pressure situation was pretty impressive, especially knowing how important Thomas in particular is to her. I've said ot before, but I continue to be proud of how far Trish has come from those early days curled up in a ball on her hospital bed.

That all being said, confident Trish casually threatening the military was hot as fuck!

Jeb being proud of his daughter for fighting against the government was super cute!

This week's Trish moment was her accepting Mendelton's apology, I think. She demanded it but didn't accept it right away because she knew they owed her one, but she wanted to understand where she was coming from, why they felt they had to do this, before deciding to accept it. Once she knew how desperate they were, she empathize with them and was able to accept the apology. That empathy, her not putting herself above humanity despite viewing herself as a literal goddess is the core of who Trish is, and this is what separates her from those "maladjusted brats" of Thomas's favorite fetish stories.

I also like the way you balanced Trish's confidence in her destiny and the gravity of the sacrifice that she was willing to make for her family. She didn't believe that the chem nukes would hurt her, but it was made obvious that she wasn't afraid to die so that the people most important to her (and, let's be honest, probably people in general, knowing Trish) could live. I feel like these states were hard to navigate, but I think the reader is able to feel the weight of her decision without her coming off as doubting herself. This was nicely executed!

Finally, I was a bit touched that Mendelton seemed to come around on Trish by the end of the chapter. His respect for her being willing to sacrifice herself for her child was a nice moment, as was him being not completely sure if he would be able to do the same, even if would like to think he would. That level of honesty helped me see him in a new light.

Him realizing that she really is a goddess and that this wouldn't work right before pressing the button was a pretty cool moment, too. I wonder if he too believes that she won't destroy the world now.

Side Note: Thought about this as a follow-up. Wanted to include it in my previous review, but the thought only came to me afterwards. I figured that at this point, the reality of Trish's size is apparent to the entire country and probably the entire world, assuming other countries get American news channels and such. Assuming the rest of the world catches wind of Trish's growth - meaning that she's going to grow bigger and bigger to the point of being literally MILES tall as well as being literally unstoppable, unbeatable, and all-powerful  - I would guess that large chunks of civilization might end up experiencing downright anarchy if they figure that the apocalypse is just a few years away and there's nothing they can do to stop it. Again, I don't know if Trish and Thomas could put out any kind of statement that would keep people around the world (both in America and elsewhere) from going all "Children of Men" and appeal for calmness and stability. Just something to consider within the broader framework of the story in case you'd like to address it. I only put this out there because I've come to enjoy this story very much over the past few weeks.

Again, good stuff!

And now the gap in power has been made painfully clear at this point. If the U.S. military wasn't capable of ending Trish, what hope does the rest of the human race have in comparison? Now all the rest of humanity can do is just sit back and await their fate. While I'm happy that Trish survived this encounter (as I figured she probably would), I do understand where the government is coming from, with what Mendleton said about what her growing size would do to the very planet itself. Even with the best of intentions, Trish's very existence would cause a mass extinction event, both for human civilization and all other life on the planet. It was a nice counterpoint about referring to what that would mean for Thomas Jr. in all of this, basically saying "Think of your child."

Wondering if Trish will make a global announcement to say "I come in peace and I mean you all no harm. I'm not going to destroy this planet. I know I won't, so please just have a little faith in me. Everything will be okay, I promise." While that probably wouldn't sway too many opinions, given humanity's instinctive fear of her at such a size, it would be a goodwill gesture all the same to try and lower the temperature of the whole situation.

Also wondering if at any point that Thomas will one day grow to match Trish's size as she dreamed. It would certainly spice things up between the two lovebirds. But in any case, that's your call to make in the end.

All around, another lovely addition to the story! You say that the final product will number around 30 chapters or so, so I'm guessing the end isn't too far away at this point. Looking forward to more!

Date: July 12 2024 7:24 AM Title: Chapter 28: The Next Step

The first thing I noticed here was Trish changing her view of humans from little people to bugs. Of course, I can't blame her for this, given how small we seem to her, and her watching the "bug" doctors scurry when she was trying to see little Thomas Jr. was one of my favorite parts of the chapter.

Man, Thomas is such a good husband, putting up with moody Trish during the pregnancy. Granted, he was probably into some of the stuff she did, but holy shit did that pressing the air out of him sound brutal. Of course, I wouldn't call this outright cruelty because of the safeword, which she honored, sort of. Leaving him stranded on her tot for so long that she forgot about him was a whole different sort of torment.

So I had to ask myself the same question that Thomas asked her: Why? Her answer was interesting. She did it because she was feeling guilty and wanted to test how much he'd put up with from her? I took that to mean that her hormones were making her feel insecure and have some doubt about just how committed Thomas is to her, which she felt shitty about because her rational side knows how devoted he is. So her compromise was to prove it by doing by "helping him breathe." And even when he passed the test by putting up with it for a while and giving the perfect answer,"I thought you were enjoying it," her insecurity still couldn't accept that and convinced herself that he was just into it, hence the further punishment and the deeper guilt after she calms down and realizes how irrational and mean she had been.

I have no idea if any of that is correct, but that's how I made sense of it.

Oh, and I just love the idea that Trish would randomly decide, "That's enough words" and just tossed Thomas in her mouth for a few hours. Even without a detailed description, that may be the hottest thing you've written in the whole story, at least in my opinion, and that's saying something.

I was happy to see Thomas come around on the whole destiny thing. And that bot right before that, when he once again read Trish's mind. It's impressive just how well he knows her, and stuff like this makes them so enjoyable as a couple.

This week's Trish moment has to be her insisting that Thomas fill her with millions of babies just so she could have a baby belly. That was a cute, silly conversation that I really enjoyed. Between that and her affectionately partially "caving in" her birthing cavern by pressing her hand into herself, as well as all the love she felt when Thomas announced that he had their baby, there was so much heartwarming stuff here!

And then the army showed up, because of course they did! I wonder if they knew her babu was being born that day. If so, pure balls on their part. Trish still hasn't hurt anybody too badly yet, but this may be the ultimate test for her.

But I have to say, if they took Thomas as a hostage, that's probably the only card they have left to play, but that doesn't make it a good one. I'm really curious how this plays out.

And the plot thickens! It was satisfying to see my suspicions confirmed with Trish's pregnancy and all of the details surrounding it. The mind boggles at what the future holds regarding her newborn son. Will he remain the same size as his father or will he slowly grow into a titan like his mother, or something in between the two perhaps? How will he interact with a mommy who is (at present) approaching the size of literal skyscrapers at this point? And how will he interact with her as she becomes bigger and bigger over time?

Also amused to see the final twist at the end of the chapter. Assuming this isn't a very vivid dream state which Trish is having and that the military really does have Thomas in its clutches, what is to become of the happy family from here on? The military apparently is aware that while they pose practically no threat to Trish, they can potentially make her fall in line by going after those closest to her (Thomas and perhaps her father to some extent). I'm curious as to whether the president authorized this action or if it's a rogue element within the military feeling that it has to take matters into its own hands. If it's the former, then that doesn't bode well for Trish and Thomas, but if it's the latter, then there might be hope to pull back from the brink for all parties involved. I suppose we'll find out whenever you release the next chapter.

It was especially endearing for Trish to find a way to interact with her newborn son. You really conveyed the motherly instincts she was feeling quite vividly, what with how emotionally tormented Trish must feel at not being able to normally hold her own child despite wanting to so desperately after having birthed him.

All in all, another fine addition to the broader story. It certainly has a "point of no return" feel to the narrative by this point, as if the couple is crossing the proverbial Rubicon when it comes to where they stand with the U.S. government and military up to this point.

Maybe the most intriguing part of this chapter was Trish's dream. It could be interpreted in a number of ways, but to me, this was our lovely goddess's subconscious acknowledging how vital Thomas has been to her transition into a goddess (whether that transition is symbolic or literal), as well as how much she still leans on him even now.

She says the dream started with them on one of their walks, which were maybe the most critical part of her gaining confidence during the early days of her growth, and Thomas, her anchor during this whole ordeal, is walking along side her. I don't think this is a coincidence, nor is it one that he grows alongside her. Even though he obviously hasn't grown with her, he has shared this experience with her, which I think is part of the reason why she has said multiple times that she would always basically always do what he says and never  go against him. Likewise, the fact that they're still going at ot when she spans the width of North America and the Atlantic seems to affirm her belief that Thomas will stay by her side no matter how big she gets.

And Trish being so into this dream tells us how much she values these traits in her husband but also how she has come to feel about her growth, going from fearing it to being turned on by it. We've seen a lot of this expressed in previous chapters, but to see her subconscious put all of these feelings together for her here (unless I'm wrong in my interpretation) is a beautiful thing.

I love the smugness with which she dealt with the military trying to stop her from saving the people in the burning building. To me, this interaction sums up Trish perfectly. She loves the power she has over the little people, but she refuses to use it unless there's a good reason to do so. So when the military tried to put preserving its authority over saving lives, she was practically giddy at the chance to rightfully put them in their place.

This shows just how reserved Trish is as a goddess. She loves the little people so much that she nit only devotes her time and power to help them, but she stops herself from even gently dominating them, something she could easily do at any time, as we see when she straight up ignored the attack on her when she defied their order.

This is also why the military adviser to the president is wrong when he says that Trish will stroll into Washington and just take over and the president's fear of losing his bluff of a deterrent is for nothing. She only wants to help humanity despite all its flaws. That all the people complaining about her are authority figures shows how unique she is. They all feel their positions threatened by her and can't comprehend that she won't use her power to seize control. Meanwhile, the common people interviewed, those who only cared about their day-to-day lives and their jobs, all seemed to see her as a force for good.

The contrast between those with power given to them by their positions with how Trish handles having real power helps to highlight how special she really is.

Also, it was nice to see that blood Trish gave for science come into play here. I wonder if the government took the sample or if she was lied to when they said they would use it to see if they could help people with it. In any case, I was happy to learn that she has a 97 percent chance of surviving a nuke! Unfortunately, we can't say the same for Thomas or the rest of humanity for that matter.

Which leads to another interesting observation; the president spent all his time lamenting how the nuclear option wouldn't work and no time considering the innocent casualties nuking Trish would surely cause. Maybe Trish should make that trip to Washington.

In a smaller note, it's interesting that Trish's strategy of willing away the need to eat has worked and it doesn't even seem to bother her anymore. It makes me wonder what else she can will herself to do. Could she force herself to stop growing? I know she wanted to stop before, but I think her confidence and faith in herself are a factor here. She really believes that she doesn't need food so she doesn't. When she wanted to be normal, she didn't believe she could be.

Of course, I think this is a moot point, as clearly Trish doesn't want to stop growing at this point. But I could see her willing herself to control her size at some point (or maybe this is wishful thinking on my part, just wanting to see a happy ending).

Finally, I'm both happy for and curious about what Trish's pregnancy means for the couple. It's going to be hard for Trish to play a role in raising that kid or even enjoying its infancy. But, like with the find issue, I bet she'll find a way through pure will.

Interesting developments indeed...

I won't be so blunt as to what the last few paragraphs seem to indicate, but it does imply a great and significant change in the course of events. It's also intriguing that Patricia's body has made a great leap forward in her ascent to goddesshood, now that it appears she really no longer requires food to sustain herself (I imagine that also relieves people to know that she no longer expels waste either, especially for someone of her size!).

Amusing how you factored in the U.S. government's take on things, with them gauging as to whether or not a nuclear strike would be effective on her, with the president acquiescing that she's most likely more powerful than the U.S. military at this point. It was nice to see that kind of acknowledgement in the story, given that Patricia is no doubt above and beyond mere mortals, not just in size but in other aspects as well.

Curious if she'll soon transcend the need to even breathe once she hits a certain size, given that if she really does reach literal miles in height that the air would start getting thinner from her point of view. I know that's still a ways off, but something to consider, assuming you'll have her literally ascending to be several miles tall. There's also the concerns as to how she'd navigate the planet at such a size without causing massive earthquakes with every step she took, but perhaps you already have something in mind to address that.

Nice dream sequence you have mentioned between Trish and Thomas. I figure that he would pretty much have to grow alongside her in order to please her sexually once she's literally thousands of feet tall. Otherwise, he'd have to resort to stimulating her clitoris and/or her G-spot in order to get the job done, given that he'd be speck-like from her point of view. It would make for an interesting twist in the broader plot if Thomas somehow ascended to godhood alongside Patricia, with the two of them having some hot and heavy love scenes here and there, creating literal earthquakes during their lovemaking sessions. Of course, they'd either have to pick remote areas to engage in such acts or even somehow ascend into deep space in order to keep themselves from causing too much destruction to the world around them.

But I feel like I'm getting ahead of myself with this analysis. In any case, this was another delightful addition to the broader story, and I'm looking forward to more, assuming you maintain the drive to see this thing through. Good stuff!

I feel like Trish's belief in destiny and that she can will away things like hunger feed into the goddess theory around her size. And if that ends up being the cause of all this, I love the theme of the benevolent, loving, and just a tad awkward goddess learning from the early days of her growth to have confidence in herself and become the deity this world needs.

First, seeing Trish's interaction with Robert really encapsulates what makes her so special. The joy she felt at being able to give him the relief he needed in that moment, the miracle he had been hoping for but never expecting, literally brought her to tears. She didn't put out the fire to feel a sense of accomplishment or to show the world her worth, and she certainly didn't do it for praise or worship. She just wanted to make people happy, and seeing the stress leave Robert's body as he finally relaxed and left everything to her gave her a feeling she's probably never felt before.

This is what she means when she says she's a goddess. She wants to take away as many troubles being faced by individual people as she can. She wants humanity to trust her, not place her above them. This is a very different kind of goddess than the patrons of this site are used to, and that makes me love Trish that much more!

I love how awkward Trish is with the media. She's not a stateswoman nor is she trying to project herself as being worth more than the average person, so coming off as a little nervous and having a little doubt behind her words, like I feel most of us would if given that large a spotlight, helps her feel grounded, even when she's claiming a sort of divinity.

And her trying to explain to Nancy how she can do more than the firefighters and also trying to not downplay the work said firefighters do was this week's Trish moment, I think. She knows how hard this was for them and how easy it was for her, but she struggled to find the right words to convey that both things can be true, and it all came off in about as cute a way as possible as she bobbled her way through that.

Also, I feel like that whole destiny thing comes into play here as well, as Trish's awkwardness with the press caused her to call herself a legit goddess in such a way that Nancy found it a bit endearing rather than egotistical or threatening. So maybe Trish's natural nervousness defused the situation on its own, and things just worked themselves out for her.

Trish refusing to eat in order to prove Dr. Vale wrong and not "eat everything" is a tremendous sacrifice on her part, assuming it works (with the way this story is going, it most certainly will, I think). She's quite literally starving herself for humanity, simply willing her hunger away, and without any guarantees that this is going to get any easy down the road. She truly loves the "little people," even if she hasn't fully realized that this is why she's doing this yet.

Thomas's stance on Trish's destiny position is pretty interesting. He's a man of science, so it makes sense that he doesn't buy into it at all. But at the same time, he does have faith in his wife, even if he doesn't realize it and thinks that question is unfair, because he's backing down and respecting her belief by doing so. Even if he thinks she'll ultimately prove him right, he's standing by her through these choices and his concerns are coming from a good place anyway. He's just worried about her, but he wants to support her as best he can at the same time.

I've said it several times at this point, but the specific ways in which you have Trish and Thomas support one another through all these trials and tribulations serves as an excellent example of what a health relationship and marriage should look like.

That bit where Trish is internally taunting the San Diego skyline about how much larger she's going to be than it come a year or two later was pretty striking for me. As I read about her mentally teasing the little people of the city about how her foot will be bigger than their whole skyline, I couldn't help but think back to when we first met Trish, hugging her knees as she kept herself in a ball trying to shrink herself or her crying when she heard the news that she was going to reach at least 30 feet tall. Her confidence has brought her so far, and I'm not ashamed to say that I was a little proud of her embracing who she is like that.

Man, that confrontation with the military went a lot better than I thought it would, too! I love how happy Trish was at the thought of the military trusting her, but I have to wonder if that's really what happened here. It's wholly possible that she's right, but I could also see the higher ups in the chain of command not liking the optics of assaulting a pretty girl in a sundress, even if she is 150 feet tall. Or maybe they have some doubts as to how effective they can be against her. We still don't know the full extent of her regenerative abilities, either, so that could give them pause as well.

In any case, I'm glad they allowed her to save the whale, and it's great to see the people of this world fully embracing her good deeds tour like those on the beach did.

This was nice. It was certainly a gamble on Trish's part to go all the way out towards a major city at her current size. I relate with Thomas's hesitance, given the darker side of human nature and the innate fear many would feel at the sight of Trish at her current size. You captured the military's guarded disposition pretty well in this chapter, given that Trish is now teetering in the realm of skyscraper in terms of height and size at this point. The scene of Trish endearingly portraying herself as a goddess but not demanding worship was also a nice little part as well; basically her saying "Yeah, I'm a LOT more powerful than you all, but I'm not here to rub that power in your face or declare that I'm better than you. I'm above you all in height, but that doesn't mean I'm above you in outright value."

Good stuff all around!

It only makes sense that right after I give Thomas credit, he goes and makes a mistake like this.

That being said, this was actually a pretty healthy fight for a married couple, I think (unless you happen to be a small abandoned town, anyway). What I mean by that is that while, yes, Thomas was being selfish in wanting his wife to give up on the idea of going out into the world, his reason for wanting this wasn't selfish at all. In the end, he just wants Trish to be safe, and his concern about how the outside world (and the military, in particular) seems pretty legit based on how people have acted around her for the most part so far.

But Thomas's mistake was that, once he identified what it was she wanted, he initially chose to try and talk her out of it instead of hearing her out and really listening. He let his own fears cloud his judgment and tried to steer her in the "right" direction, something we haven't really seen him do up until this point. As a result, Trish became frustrated and upset, and the ghost town paid the price.

What we saw from him in the back half of this chapter is what we've come to expect from him. He calmed down and tried to get at the heart of what was bothering Trish. He got her to feel comfortable and open up, to the point that when she couldn't articulate what her feelings were he was able to piece it together in a way that made her feel understood and even helped her to understand some of those feelings herself. It's always heartwarming when Thomas is able to do this, showing that he truly gets his wife and is able to see directly into her soul.

I also really liked how he admitted that he wasn't buying this destiny idea that Trish believes but is willing to see it through with her anyway. It's easy to support the people we love when they're making the choices we think are right; it's quite another to back them even when we think they're wrong and may even be putting themselves at risk. That's a level of trust and love that few people ever truly achieve, I think (although I hope I'm wrong about that!).

For Trish's part, I can certainly understand feeling a sense of guilt (I'm not sure if that quite fits, but it's the best word I can think of here) at keeping all this newfound power to herself and using it just for her own pleasure and that of her husband. She really does feel like a goddess, and she wants to act like one toward humanity. As I've mentioned several times by this point, this is a benevolent want, not a selfish, controlling one. She's not looking for worship and praise. She just wants to help people, and she knows that there are things that only she can do for them. You could argue that this is selfish of her, as most of humanity is too frightened of her to want this and would rather she keep to herself, but I think it's pretty selfless to want to give up the comfort of her father's property to do good even at the risk of provoking the military and possibly being killed for no good reason.

It was both endearing and heartbreaking to see Trish willing to give this desire up for the sake of Thomas. She's a good spouse, fully willing to put her happiness aside for the sake of her partner. Likewise, Thomas was willing to do the same, which, as I believe I've said before, is how this is supposed to work. If both partners are putting their spouse's wants above their own, then they'll take care of each other and everything will work out, as it did here. Thomas knew that she was going to give up her happiness for him (as he cockily noted at the end of the chapter), and he couldn't just let her do that. He had to let her know that he would be okay with her doing this and that he wanted to be by her side as she did it, even if he didn't think it was a good decision. It was a really touching moment by both of them, really.

And then there's that last paragraph. It's been a while since she realized that she would do whatever Thomas told her to do. But I don't think this is blind devotion or he willfully being manipulated. I think she would never disobey Thomas because she knows that he's looking out for her best interests and trusts him completely. She knows he would never take advantage of her, as he cares too much about her to do that. That's the source of her desire to do whatever he tells her or why, despite it being bigger than him, she let him stop her finger from playing with him on her knee. It's also why seeing him so boldly declare this while standing on her body only reminds her of why she loves him rather than find the smugness with which he made the declaration annoying.

There's just so much depth to these two, both in personality and in their relationship in general, and that's what makes this story so special. I mean, we're 25 chapters in, and I'm nowhere near tired of reading about them. I have to admit that I was briefly concerned in the early chapters that once they got past the drama and the "will they won't they" phase of the budding relationship the story would struggle to maintain its intrigue. But you've built off that start so masterfully that I'm way more interested now than I was even then.

So I guess what I'm saying is, great work and I look forward to more as it looks like we're starting to creep up on the endgame!

Nice plot development in this chapter. Really can feel the tension brewing, both within Trish and between Trish and Thomas as she grows larger and larger. I was happy to see you address the high probability of their concerns regarding the larger outside world, especially where the military is involved. If the army and the government perceive Trish as a walking WMD, then at bare minimum they'd have a very guarded disposition on what is to be done with her, especially as she grows larger and larger over time.

One thing that crossed my mind is that Trish waits until she becomes so large that not even a nuclear warhead would be able to take her out, but the military might factor that in and do a preemptive strike on her with multiple warheads, assuming she's several thousands of feet tall or miles high, figuring that being such a size would warrant such a response on their part, especially if Trish comes off as threatening to the world around her (which at such a size would be practically assumed).

Maybe you've already factored all of this in regarding this story's endgame. In any case, I was amused to see the raging inner conflict between these two, pondering on what their fate would be at the end of this journey. From what I make of it, the two of them have a sort of "star-crossed lovers" vibe, or something along the lines of Romeo and Juliet, where their love will burn hot and bright before being tragically snuffed out by the world in which they live, as if they were fated to love so passionately during their time together before it all comes to an abrupt end. Don't know if I'm waxing too lyrical at this point, but I hope I've given an apt enough analysis of my take on things.

All in all, a very entertaining chapter!
