I absolutely love the sense of helpless and overwhelming cruelty that you've managed to capture in this story. Very well done!
I know that it's an unaware story, but I'd love to see either a continuation or a spin-off at some point that has at least some of the unfortunate shrinkees found.
It would be great to see them kept as pets/experimented on by the mother especially. Maybe helping her further her escapades into gardening/environmental research stuff as well!
