Just wanted to say, I am totally into this world building and the characters in this story, ava kind of like a low budget batman without the riches and Ultra woman is just super girl, anyway seeing as ava just got recruited by ultra woman will we see more of this hero League next chapter or ultra woman mentoring ava before ava move to the Big City, also seeing as not all villains and heroes are bad in this universe more like actors who fight and talk mostly, will we see more characters or is it going to be mainly these four.
Author's Response:
If I continue this one we'll see some other characters, heroes and villains in this universe are a mixed bag, some are super dangerous and evil and some are basically glorified pranksters like Maisie, Ultra Woman is a super commercialized Homelander type but she's also not a psychopath and does her best to save everyone, Ava obviously wants to be Batman but doesn't have the cash lol.

Omg I wasn't expecting this to be as absolutely adorable as it was! I enjoyed it so much that I actually went ahead and made an account to leave a comment lol
Really excited to see what sorts of things you write next!
Author's Response:
Thanks! A lot of my stories have a pretty positive dynamic between the main characters. I intend to come back to Rise of a Supervillain one of these days, but I've got a lot of ongoings that I hop between.

Sam, Maisie, and Ava are such massive dorks and I'm absolutely here for it. Ultra Woman seems jaded to a dangerous degree. I wonder if that's the first time she's come close to offing someone? It's nice to be able to use her and the agents to get brief peeks into some of the darker aspects of the stuff that goes on in this world. As always, another impossibly fun story Greenanon.
Author's Response:
Ultra Woman is definitely a few bad days from going down the Injustice rabbit hole, which is why having Maisie, and now Sam, around is so important for her. The implication of revealing her secret identity is that she's allowing the Impossible Duo into her personal life, which will probably lead to more points of human contact and hopefully a less tense Ultra Woman. I'm toying with an "alternate universe" story kind of like Injustice with an evil Ultra Woman, the flashpoint being that it was a universe where Impossible Woman never existed, leading her to become darker and more cynical, and of course our main cast gets trapped there and has to find/fight their way back.

A villain who is a lovable dork and a heroine who plays along and looks out for her. I'll admit I wasn't expecting this to be as wholesome as it was. Plus it had its exciting (and lewd) moments too. You have a way with storytelling.
Author's Response:
Thanks! If you like more plot heavy giantess stories you might check out my Conquest of Earth series, it's got a similar mix of lewdness, action, and drama, though it's a sci-fi tale rather than one with superheroes. I'll probably return to Rise of a Supervillain at some point.

This is fucking awesome, definitely one of the best on this site 10/10
Author's Response:
Thanks! I'll definitely have to come back to these characters at some point.

This was an absolutely brilliant piece from start to finish. I really enjoy the vibe going on between Maisie and Ultra Woman, and how protective Ultra Woman is of Maisie. The idea that the boisterous, showy, but low-stakes clashes between the two is a sort of "stress relief" for Ultra Woman dealing with more serious, grim threats is a great one to me.
Author's Response:
I like writing their relationship too, Maisie is one of Ultra Woman's points of human contact that anchors her a bit and keeps her sane.

Idk why you're apologizing for making this episode a three parter, the more content the better lol. I really enjoyed this episode as a whole and will patiently wait for whatever story you update next! See you Space Cowboy...
Author's Response:
Glad you enjoyed it, I'll probably do a Conquest of Earth story next, I have an idea for that one that's been bugging me.

I don't often write reviews but wow this story is amazing. I just love the two main characters and I'm honestly going to be coming back to this site daily just so I don't miss the next installment. Really really awesome story.
Author's Response:
Thanks! Hope you liked the conclusion to the latest arc!

Aww snap! Is this the impossible woman anti-hero arc?! I mean I guess it would make sense since she's mostly righteous. I was hoping ultra woman would show up by the end but having her fail back to back was pretty funny. This was truly another fantastic chapter if only a little light on plot developments. I'll be looking forward to the next installment!
Author's Response: I guess you might say that Impossible Woman has a very specific idea of what a villain should be, and that leads to heroic tendencies now and then.

Very fun story, well written and I could feel the enjoyment the author must have writing it through the feel of the story.
Author's Response:
I did have a good time, glad people are having fun with it too

I was gonna say this chapter felt like one Legends of tomorrow misadventures episode and then you mention the CW jaja! Having a blast reading your stories, keep it up.

Ironic how the most innocent person in this story is the titular "villain" lol. Was not expecting mild homelander vibes from ultra woman.
I love the added character development in this one! This arc seems to have higher stakes all around and I fear for our duo. It would be interesting to actually have them seriously fight ultra woman. I doubt they'd be able to win, but it would be a pretty hype underdog fight if they managed to pull it off.
Sorry for the rant lol. I'm pretty invested in this one. Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: I definitely took some inspiration for Ultra Woman from Homelander. She's not a psycho like he is obviously, but she also has a very cynical view of the whole heroes and villains thing and isn't at all averse to making some money off her heroics. Impossible Woman is a spot of idealism and innocence for her, and maybe that's what keeps Ultra Woman from going over the edge. As far as a real fight between them, well Maisie and Sam would be underdogs but they probably also know Ultra Woman and her abilities better than any other villains do, it would be hype that's for sure. Glad you're invested, always love to hear thoughts! Look for Part 2 soon!

A very wholesome story, you don’t see too many of these on this kind of stuff either. It’s fun, light hearted and takes itself not too seriously. Keep going, this is a very nice start for what could be a more slice of life style fun.
Author's Response:
Thanks, the Impossible Duo are definitely on the lighthearted side of the comic book spectrum. While this world has edgier heroes and villains obviously Sam and Maisie aren't among their number.

Very wholesome, would love a part 2

And you've got it!

Amazing storytelling, and wonderfully written. I hope you continue this and keep their relationship growing!

Gotta say this story was really fun to read, reminds me to a story in giantesscity name G and Me about a guy who falls in love with Giganta in the DC universe.
Author's Response:
Thanks, Giganta was definitely an influence.

This and "We Help Each Other Get By" are some of the most adorable stories I have read on this site. I definitely think you should add more to this since this one chapter lays a pretty decent foundation to set up a much grander plot. At first I was a little skeptical about the protagonist getting powers since I liked the contrast in the regular guy and superhuman dynamic, but this is still great. Love this story and hope to see more!
Author's Response:
Well, the twist is that the titular supervillain was actually Sam. I'll have to think of some grander plots for these two then, I guess to continue the normal vs supervillain contrast we might see how Sam's friends and family react to his new "career" and his supervillain girlfriend.

With Maisie's personality being so bubbly and friendly, I was expecting Ultra Woman's to be like Homelander; friendly up front, total psycho behind the scenes. Glad to see that wasn't the case. She has a soft spot for Impossible Woman because of Maisie's complete regard for the safety of people in her plans. I'm sure this is probably pretty rare for a villain, perhaps even unique.
Author's Response:
I think that Ultra Woman is definitely more cynical behind the scenes, but not to the point where she's a maniac. Impossible Woman is, to a hero at least, pretty much the ideal villain. Fun to fight and low risk, probably can be counted on in a real emergency.

My only complaint would be not having more of this. The entire story was really adorable and the whole thing with the hero being soft on Maisie was just cute ash. I can already imagine an anime like this. Idk if you’ve heard of Vtubers but there’s one named Pekora who’s personality matches Maudie’s perfectly. I want more!
Author's Response:
Thanks! I'll have to think up some more plots with these two since people seem to want more.
