Maybe the most intriguing part of this chapter was Trish's dream. It could be interpreted in a number of ways, but to me, this was our lovely goddess's subconscious acknowledging how vital Thomas has been to her transition into a goddess (whether that transition is symbolic or literal), as well as how much she still leans on him even now.
She says the dream started with them on one of their walks, which were maybe the most critical part of her gaining confidence during the early days of her growth, and Thomas, her anchor during this whole ordeal, is walking along side her. I don't think this is a coincidence, nor is it one that he grows alongside her. Even though he obviously hasn't grown with her, he has shared this experience with her, which I think is part of the reason why she has said multiple times that she would always basically always do what he says and never go against him. Likewise, the fact that they're still going at ot when she spans the width of North America and the Atlantic seems to affirm her belief that Thomas will stay by her side no matter how big she gets.
And Trish being so into this dream tells us how much she values these traits in her husband but also how she has come to feel about her growth, going from fearing it to being turned on by it. We've seen a lot of this expressed in previous chapters, but to see her subconscious put all of these feelings together for her here (unless I'm wrong in my interpretation) is a beautiful thing.
I love the smugness with which she dealt with the military trying to stop her from saving the people in the burning building. To me, this interaction sums up Trish perfectly. She loves the power she has over the little people, but she refuses to use it unless there's a good reason to do so. So when the military tried to put preserving its authority over saving lives, she was practically giddy at the chance to rightfully put them in their place.
This shows just how reserved Trish is as a goddess. She loves the little people so much that she nit only devotes her time and power to help them, but she stops herself from even gently dominating them, something she could easily do at any time, as we see when she straight up ignored the attack on her when she defied their order.
This is also why the military adviser to the president is wrong when he says that Trish will stroll into Washington and just take over and the president's fear of losing his bluff of a deterrent is for nothing. She only wants to help humanity despite all its flaws. That all the people complaining about her are authority figures shows how unique she is. They all feel their positions threatened by her and can't comprehend that she won't use her power to seize control. Meanwhile, the common people interviewed, those who only cared about their day-to-day lives and their jobs, all seemed to see her as a force for good.
The contrast between those with power given to them by their positions with how Trish handles having real power helps to highlight how special she really is.
Also, it was nice to see that blood Trish gave for science come into play here. I wonder if the government took the sample or if she was lied to when they said they would use it to see if they could help people with it. In any case, I was happy to learn that she has a 97 percent chance of surviving a nuke! Unfortunately, we can't say the same for Thomas or the rest of humanity for that matter.
Which leads to another interesting observation; the president spent all his time lamenting how the nuclear option wouldn't work and no time considering the innocent casualties nuking Trish would surely cause. Maybe Trish should make that trip to Washington.
In a smaller note, it's interesting that Trish's strategy of willing away the need to eat has worked and it doesn't even seem to bother her anymore. It makes me wonder what else she can will herself to do. Could she force herself to stop growing? I know she wanted to stop before, but I think her confidence and faith in herself are a factor here. She really believes that she doesn't need food so she doesn't. When she wanted to be normal, she didn't believe she could be.
Of course, I think this is a moot point, as clearly Trish doesn't want to stop growing at this point. But I could see her willing herself to control her size at some point (or maybe this is wishful thinking on my part, just wanting to see a happy ending).
Finally, I'm both happy for and curious about what Trish's pregnancy means for the couple. It's going to be hard for Trish to play a role in raising that kid or even enjoying its infancy. But, like with the find issue, I bet she'll find a way through pure will.

Interesting developments indeed...
I won't be so blunt as to what the last few paragraphs seem to indicate, but it does imply a great and significant change in the course of events. It's also intriguing that Patricia's body has made a great leap forward in her ascent to goddesshood, now that it appears she really no longer requires food to sustain herself (I imagine that also relieves people to know that she no longer expels waste either, especially for someone of her size!).
Amusing how you factored in the U.S. government's take on things, with them gauging as to whether or not a nuclear strike would be effective on her, with the president acquiescing that she's most likely more powerful than the U.S. military at this point. It was nice to see that kind of acknowledgement in the story, given that Patricia is no doubt above and beyond mere mortals, not just in size but in other aspects as well.
Curious if she'll soon transcend the need to even breathe once she hits a certain size, given that if she really does reach literal miles in height that the air would start getting thinner from her point of view. I know that's still a ways off, but something to consider, assuming you'll have her literally ascending to be several miles tall. There's also the concerns as to how she'd navigate the planet at such a size without causing massive earthquakes with every step she took, but perhaps you already have something in mind to address that.
Nice dream sequence you have mentioned between Trish and Thomas. I figure that he would pretty much have to grow alongside her in order to please her sexually once she's literally thousands of feet tall. Otherwise, he'd have to resort to stimulating her clitoris and/or her G-spot in order to get the job done, given that he'd be speck-like from her point of view. It would make for an interesting twist in the broader plot if Thomas somehow ascended to godhood alongside Patricia, with the two of them having some hot and heavy love scenes here and there, creating literal earthquakes during their lovemaking sessions. Of course, they'd either have to pick remote areas to engage in such acts or even somehow ascend into deep space in order to keep themselves from causing too much destruction to the world around them.
But I feel like I'm getting ahead of myself with this analysis. In any case, this was another delightful addition to the broader story, and I'm looking forward to more, assuming you maintain the drive to see this thing through. Good stuff!
