I love this story. It's difficult to place what's so appealing about it, but if I had to sum it up I think it's the casualness of it all. It conveys an expression of raw power, and coupled with the incredible unfairness of it, it falls into place very nicely.
The fact that you use real characters is also quite handy for easy google image searches. My only criticism is one of those annoying ones which just comes down to personal taste - I kind of wish the wrestler had thrown her weight around a bit more when at her maximum size, but I suppose that may not have gelled well with the rest of the story.
I hope you still plan to add more chapters.
An 18 year old sister finds herself shrinking and must live through the embarressing trauma of shrinking smaller then her 15 year old, 12 year old, 8 year old and finally two year old sisters. suddenly she isn't the dominate one in the house and her mother just doesn't care. Can she survive her sisters as they realize the upper hand they have?
This is a fantastic start. You've achieved a realistically depicted sadism, and I'm very keen to see future updates!

I think the story is very good and the alterations (e.g. removal of Rebecca's chapter) are positive. While Bianca does have some fair points about holes in the plot, I don't think it's crucial to the story progression and the disease was quite obviously just an tool to get the story going. Similarly, I don't find suspension of disbelief that difficult: the characters, even if intensely cruel, are consistent and self-consistency is the most important characteristic in suspense of disbelief. There are psychos in the real world: people who torture animals and abuse those weaker than them. Stacey was already pointed out as a bully earlier on (whereas it seems clear she had well-hidden the true extent of her sadistic cruelty from her sister), and Amy is easily manipulated and not fully comprehending. It's common for siblings to imitate their elders or be manipulated by them. I have certainly encountered many MUCH more erratic characters in such stories.
Emma doesn't have to be stupid to miss what is happening. Anyone who has ever been a child at school knows how bullying easily occurs under the noses of those in charge, and Stacey obviously has experience covering her tracks. Besides, you could always throw in a plot twist and have Emma actually being complicit in all the goings on, it's still open. Maybe they all actually grew to resent Kate when she was in charge.
I think the generally positive reviews on what can be considered a rather controversial scenario are indicative of a good talent for story-telling, even if it is a little bit rough around the edges, there is still plenty of potential and I hope you continue writing and improving.
As for ideas, have you considered a more subtle form of humiliation where they take Kate outside for whatever reason and she is treated like a child? She can be condescended to by asshole adults or not recognised by her friends. She has hardened herself against the abuse of her siblings, but it could have a negative psychological effect being treated as insignificant by completely benign people. Furthermore, being bullied by kids outdoors could cause fear if she is separated from her family - while her sisters are cruel, she still has the security and familiarity of her home, and Emma is usually not far. On the other hand, the fear of true danger could be greater outside. The anonymity of the abusers would also make it hit home how she is vulnerable to anyone and not just the cruelty she has already encountered.
It would be a good change of scenery I think: they could go to a pool, a playground, the beach where she gets buried to her head in the sand, a mall; there are plenty of options.
If you do want to develop the 'shrinking disease' plot further, then you could use that as another device for inducing fear in Kate. That is, she could watch a documentary in which they feature minute people in stricken, impoverished areas just being treated as disposable once small enough due to the difficulty of protecting them. They could be bought or sold or just abandoned completely to the mercy of nature and wandering people who want to entertain themselves. People could have competitions and games involving doing things to the tinies, and you could even have tinies abusing tinies.
thankyou for your review. i appreciate that you can look over my rough spots as this is my first story. since i have gotten better at writing since i first started this story i have considered rewriting the first couple of chapters as well. i don't like how the shrinking disease is so rare and would prefer if it was just a "regular" disease. it would open up new ways of creating scenarios and help suspend disbelief. as for your suggestions i love them. i am already working on a chapter where kate has to go to school and will employ many of the tactics you have suggested. as for your suggestion of making her witness other shrinkies being tortured that ties in well with my wanting to rewrite the first couple of chapters. all in all, you have given me some new material to work with and should be uploading a couple of chapters within a day but i have to finish school work =) thankyou again
That last chapter was really great! I can see your writing coming along well, to the extent that I even like reading the chapters that don't have huge amounts of action.
You've really opened up loads of possibilities with this new chapter, and you manage to keep the suspense going with your gradual pacing. I like the new levels of depth the story is acquiring!

yep. i wanted to speed things up so i could get to some of the more interesting things. being super tiny opens up soooo many more ways of humiliating or torturing and i'll be able to do them all. =)
Since there seems to be a big discussion about this, I think I'll chip in too! The end of the latest chapter leaves an interesting opportunity I think for Stacy to show her manipulative side again. For example, she could put the blame on Amy, protesting that she just showed up when she heard noise like Emma did.
As for Emma, I think it's perfectly plausible that she be good. That also leaves the door open for interesting unaware interactions in the future.
Stacy will always be manipulative and she will definately use that skill to try and get out of trouble =) Unaware stuff with emma has always been my idea i just have to wait for Stacy to get smaller.
I think some of the reviews here are completely off the mark. I don't see how it makes any sense to attack the 'realism' in a medium which depends entirely on suspension of disbelief. As long as the storyline is self consistent, which this one is, then it seems daft to attack the 'world realism' by asking questions like 'how come they don't get arrested?'. That's just a feature of the universe in which the story is placed.
Aside from that, it seems the attacks come from the angle of not enjoying this aspect of the fetish as a personal preference. Which is entirely unfair, in a fetish laden with everything from scat to vore, nothing is going to please everybody.
The only valid criticism in my opinion is that near the end of the story, the dialogue is a little bit poorly formatted at times, but even that is a minor issue.

Hey, I really enjoyed the opening chapters of this story and had intended to comment earlier. I'd like to point out that some of the confusion over her size arises from the fact that you've described her as being about 500ft tall, whereas in the 'growth' field of the story description, you've put Giga: 1mi. to 100 mi.
This was because I didn't see the "Mega" option. Giga came before it it, so I assumed I had to use it. Just now edited, so it should be good now! :)
it was a peaceful day for the occupants at the local pool until a strange phenomenon shrinks all the people down to les than 1/4 an inch. problems really start to get serious when a family of young girls arrive for some swimming.

thanks. i'm really glad you enjoy my story. yes, i had to clean up the grammar as i didn't realize that so many people found it annoying. i guess that's because i can read a story without caring about capitalization but these stories aren't meant for me =) i'm going to be writing more chapters on this story rather than "tales of a shrinking sister" because i find this story easier to write. i find it more enjoyable to write "unaware" content but i'm sure i'll get around to my other story later. =)

It would appear that this is the prefered avenue that people wish me to take. It is harder to write than initially thought but it is getting there. Is there anything you wish to happen specifically? Any interesting events that you want added or tantalizing details you wouldn't mind reading about?
Being taken from your home and made into an "attendant" for the notoriously difficult Carrier girls (at least, the three younger ones- big sis Candace is out) sounded like it wouldn't be a fun job to begin with. Then, of course, things go south from there. At least things can't get worse, right?

I like the start a lot. I find your writing style to be well-balanced; descriptive but not tiresomely so. Personally, I'm mostly looking forward to Catherine's chapters and I hope you keep on updating!

I really like the way you write. And I draw a distinction between that and saying that I like your story (though I definitely do like it!): even outside of the fetish aspect, I think you've got a good style.
As for the particulars, the latest chapter is great! I've been eyeing those micro and nano tags and wondering when they were going to kick in. I'll definitely be impatiently keeping an eye out for the next chapter (what I'd give for Ms. Evans to find him now!).

When the GiantessWorld community attends one school together where your size reflects your current grade percentage in whatever classroom you're in, naturally things wind up being one big festival of fetish fun between classes . . . especially considering the existence of the little black cards, known as "death cards", that act essentially as extra lives.
This is a community story- You guys can add yourselves, suggest chapter material, or simply request something you think I should write. Here's a few basic ground rules for how this works, should you want something to happen:
1. I won't accept suggestions unless you offer yourself as a student. Name, appearance, personality, and anything you are/aren't up for, in case I need background extras in other people's requests. You don't have to be honest about your appearance, and honestly I expect a fake name- just give me a real person's name and we're all good XD
2. You're normal size outside classrooms/the gym, and you will shrink (or sometimes grow, if you're a special little extra credit student) to reflect your grade percentage. For example, if you have 10 points in the class out of 100, you'll be a tenth your normal size, etc.
3. Black "death cards" shrink/grow with their holder, and getting killed burns up the card and teleports you to the front office. The office will give extra cards to students they feel would want/need them, and sometimes teachers distribute them if they want to kill as punishment. Dying without a card is permanent, but let's not discuss that for now.
4. Class of Giantess is a very weird private college. We're all adults here, unless you specifically request to not be.
5. Class of Giantess gives no fucks. The teachers can flunk you into the ground if you don't do the work or particularly suck at it.
I like the start of the story and it looks like it could be fertile ground for plenty of interesting scenarios! I had an idea or two which I've included as part of a character summary below. I hope it's not too out there and you can make some use of it, even if only indirectly.

Sam once ruled the roost at Class of Giantess, until a debilitating accident, which left him/her in a wheelchair. The subsequent depression also lead to grade slippage; had it not been for such a positive past, it is likely Sam would not have been kept around despite so many repeated flunkings.
Although Sam is, and always has been, a generally kind person (only ever gave one person a wedgie), you don't go to any school without developing some rivalries, especially when you have the dynamics of a place like CoG.
Scenario suggestion: Since the accident Sam has been exempted from P.E. However, a new P.E. teacher has arrived and ruthlessly refused to allow the exemption (could she be an ex-student, once rival, with a grudge?). Given the long-term exemption (and wheelchair), Sam effectively has 0% in the subject - how will the school administration decide on sizing?
That's a question I wondered if anyone would ask.
An absolute 0% means that the moment you step into the class, you shrink and shrink and don't stop shrinking.
However, most professors try to circumvent this by making attendance itself worth an odd point or two, making grades of 0.2% or lower possible if you do literally no work.
Also, end-of-day PE means microscopic Sam would share a class with 130%-score (8'2", if you're curious) Luna due to the sheer amount of extra credit work and TA jobs she/I do.
You're in, though. I'll write your idea . . . do you want the professor themselves to be the one playing with little Sam, or do you want her to use another student as an unaware death method?

Minus has a particular and damning condition: he can have the size squeezed out of him. Plus and Sum, his overbearing older sisters, are more than willing to abuse this aspect of his aberrant situation. Can dutiful obedience and dry wit keep our hapless hero safe and sane?

This story has fantastic balance. There's the cruel, angry sadism of Plus, and the playful, bullying tortures of Sum. There's a great mix of content, and it's well written, so I enjoy the stuff even when it wouldn't normally be up my alley (Molotav's pictures certainly help too! I was already a fan of his art). The span of sizes Minus moves through allows his sisters to express their thorough dominance of him (and provides refreshing variety). As another commenter mentioned, it would be interesting to see how small he can get!
All in all, a great job, and I'd love to see more of this in the future (the latest chapter in particular is a favourite of mine).

This is a very good story. We don't have to kid ourselves, most people come here for smut and many stories which try to integrate plot overdo it and become boring. This story has the right balance, just the right amount of complexity and I've genuinely got some investment in the plot.
But I'm still here for the smut, and that is well done and everything is integrated smoothly.

I've been enjoying this story a lot! The variety is good, and you've got some genuinely decent writing, the little bits of foreshadowing are keeping me hooked. I'm enjoying the unchecked - even merciless - hedonism that some of the characters are displaying.
Relating to a review by a previous user, who wanted to 'remind' you that this is a gentle giantess story - it's your story and you should write it how you enjoy. Nothing wrong with a bit of fan service of course but it's especially cheeky for someone to tell you what NOT to include!
