Bio:
I'm a Connecticut Yankee from the Northwest Corner of the Nutmeg State. I was born in 1959, which makes me a reasonably hygienic middle-aged man (as opposed to a dirty old one; lol!). It also makes me an avid science fiction buff, as I grew up reading Silver Age comics and watching now-vintage sci-fi TV shows. Also, a moderate collector of same.

Nope! No need to add the good professor. This story is good enough the way it is.

Interesting opener! I just hope this "Holly" (mentioned in the next chapter's prologue) isn't the ex-girlfriend John alluded to, earlier.

Not that kinky, given the brevity. But, I liked it well enough that I almost feel like rooting for Morgan!

I don't know why. But, this Melissa clearly has some issues.

Bring on chapter 4! :-)

Author's Response: lol yeah. I'm going to give her more of a background story in a later chapter, but for now, she'd just crazy. XD

I've always regarded Pokemon as bad. Or, rather, the subgenre of anime that gives all anime a bad name. I mean; let's face it. All you really have to do to defeat a Pokemon is gag its owner's mouth so they can't yell out what superpowers to invoke!

As occasionally happens to Zatanna and Billy Batson over at DC Comics.

The rest of the chapter, though? Awesome! :-)

Author's Response: lol yeah. I don't really watch the anime anymore. But I love the main RPG games. Some of my favorite games ever.

I have a feeling that Melissa is going to force Sayuko to be a rival "fighting shrinkie" owner (a la rooster fights). And, she'll probably have to comply out of fear for Taro's life.

Hmmm! Factions among the prisoners, huh? I am definitely gonna tune in for chapter 3.

Well, maybe not. If nothing else, you reminded us that the enemy of one's enemy is NOT ALWAYS a friend.

And, that one person's "harmless mischief" is another person's needlessly cruel and inhuman torture.

I've probably said this before about her. But, Melissa clearly has more issues than a subway newstand!

Bruce, Thomas, and the rest have their work cut out for them. Rescuing their comrades is going to require ingenuity worthier of "Hogan's Heroes," rather than LOTG.

Melissa is definitely not as smart as she thinks she is. Sayuko is obviously a Japanese name. So, technically, the correct disparaging term would have been (and I profusely apologize for this, in advance, btw) "J*p." Or, even more archaically, "n*p!"

The latter was the racist term used by American civilians and servicemen, alike, for both Nisei and Japanese nationals during WWII. Indeed, the word was quite often used by the cast of the b/w 1960's sitcom "McHale's Navy!" Which would explain why one seldom sees reruns of that show, anymore.

Author's Response: Yeah, you're right. Sayuko IS Japanese. And the c-word was the first word that came to my mind when I was writing that part. I had a lot to work on here. @.@

Wow! Two more chapters, in relatively short order. No pun intended.

As for the mysterious something Bruce was talking about? I will take a wild guess that it's a re-enlargement device that he plans to steal. Not only to un-shrink himself. But, to literally become a giant among normal-sized people!

Because, personally; he strikes me as being a Malcolm X wanna-be.

Hmm! Sayuko apparently dyes her red, just as Ray dyes his green. But, there, the similarity ends!

The former is plainly a gentle soul. While it's equally plain that Ray is some kind of Goth sadist, who delights in the power of being Bruce's second-in-command. With his penchant for deviousness, however, I have to wonder how much longer he can be satisfied not being numero uno!

Sorry, if you find these last two reviews long-winded. But, I tend to get that way when I'm ultra-serious about stories I really like.

I love it when bullies get a dose of poetic justice, in stories like this.

Thanks!
