Story Notes:

this story was insprired by the story 'the tiny and her princess' on this story, though the characters and features are similar i have made my own changes and the plot and the time of the story are very different :) hope you enjoy :)

I stood there staring in disbelief at the sight of my
killer, the site of my mother’s killer, her foot was coming down on me, I felt
her weight slowly fall on me and I began to scream in anger and frustration.

How I got to this final chapter in my life, I’ll tell you:

Let’s start with when I first found out about the world
around me.

“Jane! Honey! Come on wake up baby!” I heard my mother’s
frantic voice as she shook me awake; I blinked a few times as I looked around
the room questioningly.

“What’s wrong mother?” I asked trying to calm her down, she
was about to shout again when an earthquake hit, it shook the house so vigorously
that mother was thrown to the floor.

“Mother!” I yelled, I got up out of my bed and ran to her
side, the rumbling never stopped it was like a heard of wild animals rampaging through
the city.

She opened her eyes and hugged me tightly “We have to get
out of here!” she yelled and pulled me towards the front door.

“It’s just an earthquake!” I yelled at her but then I heard
the sickening screams of people outside, she looked at me with wild eyes and
pulled me out the door, we immediately ran into a moving crowd of people running.

I was pulled along with the crowd and barley noticed when my
mother and I lost grip of each other, I looked around frantically calling to
her when I looked ahead.

She was standing there waving at me with tears running down
her face she was calling my name but I couldn’t hear it because of the noisy people.

I saw her scream and look up, I followed her gaze and looked
up just as a gigantic foot was coming down, and it landed directly in front of
me.

“Mother!” I yelled as I realized that was where my mother
was, the foot rose again and I fell to my knees at the bloody mess it left
behind, if my mother was in there she was unidentifiable now.

I looked up at the now walking away giantess who had a smile
on her face, I would have been about 5 inches tall to her, and she would have
been about 100 or more feet tall.

She had done this on purpose, she then spotted some of my
neighbours who were packing their things, and they didn’t notice the hand descending
quickly on them “LOOK OUT!” I called and I and the giantess made eye contact,
she smiled evilly at me and her hand was clenched into a fist as she crushed
only the parents of the family leaving the three crying children behind.

I felt rage and grief run through me as I ran towards the
children, I wasn’t thinking, all I knew was that I had to save these children
before the goddess destroyed them as well.

It was then that noticed more of these giant beings were
heading for the city, in the distance you could hear them coming and feel the
quake of their footsteps.

I looked up and noticed the hand coming down again, “RUN!!” I
shouted to the two older kids and picked up the baby girl named Angelina up and
sprinted for a house.

The two kids ran into the house when the hand came smashing
down onto the house in front of me, I screamed in horror as reality hit me,
James and Samantha were in there, I told them to go in there, I killed them.

I heard the thundering laugh of the giantess and took this
to my advantage as I sprinted into a bush near the border of the forest, she wouldn’t
find us here but I couldn’t hide hear forever.

I put Angel down and soothed her, she was screaming and
crying and if it weren’t for the rest of the crowds screams we would have been
found.

I cried myself to sleep that night, grieving over my mother
and my close neighbours, the fact that not only am I a murderer but so it that
blonde giantess, her evil smile and laugh I will never forget and I will get my
revenge.

The next couple of weeks went past in a blur, every now and
again I would hear the giants have conversations about removing all of the
trees around the apparently small clearing that was once our city and turning
it into a city of their own.

I found that many survived the horrors of last week and were
either striving for survival on their own or were captured and tortured by the
giants.

Me and Angelina sat for a few days in that bush but decided
against it when they brought out huge machines and started pushing down the
trees.

We ran as far away as possible but they were always approaching
faster, we found a house on the outskirts of the forest and hid there for a
week watching the production of huge houses being built over many hundreds and
years of our civilization.

I heard one night a man and woman giant talking about us,
they called us tinnies:

“Look” said the man “It’s got the exact same body as us,
they are all human but reduced in size” he explained and the woman gasped “You don’t
think we will shrink do you?” “No, we most likely grew from these beings and
the few remaining probably didn’t evolve properly” he answered soothing the
giantess.

That night I wept, we didn’t evolve they were always like
this and we were always like this, there was nothing we could have done, it was
just the course of nature.

Three years later, after hiding in the cracks of giant
houses and scavenging for food and resources, it was just me by myself,
Angelina grew up and blamed me for her parents death, she is probably dead now,
we got in a fight and she wouldn’t have survived a day without me.

I blamed myself for that too but
didn’t often remind myself of it for my own sanity just as I did for my mother,
sure I would never forget her but the burden of her death will always way down
on my shoulders.
