There's nothing wrong with epilogues. I use them a lot, myself! Because, personally, I'd rather have a good story with even a mediocre ending than a great story with no ending, at all.

Rest assured, though, there has been _nothing_ mediocre about this story of yours!

Yeah I'd agree there. Although I personally always have problems to find a proper ending, especially if I can't decide whether I want to write a sequel or not :D I hope the Epilogue will serve as a tightrope walk.
