This is amazing and has the potential to be one of the best stories on here. To help with the narritive flow and setting pictures in the readers mind, have you considered writing little paragraphs from the wifes POV. Like break up the acton and write whats going through her head? It would help with the imagry. Just a sudgestion! Excellent writting!

I actually plan on not sharing her POV. Evelyn, the wife, functions as a immense landscape or a destructive hurricane. We only see her from the perspective of her shrunken family, so she's basically a towering force of nature that they must survive. I want the readers to see her exclusively how the family sees and experiences her. That way we can only speculate what's on her mind and what she'll do next, as any minor action is a huge deal at their current size.

Oh yes, I absolutely do. I'm just in a sort of transitional phase in my real life currently with a new job. I was between jobs when I started writing this, which is why it's been awhile since I've updated it. But I do want to continue it!
