The giants are highly intelligent, they wouldn't put their children in harms way if they didn't know the conquence. They are much smarter than the humans and each possess certain talents. The giants don't think like the humans in the story, they are calm and caring creatures that want to make the world a better place. I have a few more surprises in store yet.
