Summary:

Meet Lucy. Horribly burned in a house fire while she was a child Lucy was forced to undergo a radical treatment in order to safe her life. However, this treatment would have far greater consequences then just saving her life as it would change her in ways that none had foreseen. Now she must learn to deal with her ever shrinking world as she grows from a child to an adult while trying to retain her humanity even as her power continues to expand.

In order to help her with these task is her friends and family including her childhood friend and romantic interesting Albert.

Though if you want to jump strait to the giantess content I'd suggest going to chapter three. Lucy's a young woman by then and well into the giantess category though I wouldn't say quite a mega.

My favorite scene was Lucy protecting Albert from the semi truck in chapter 4.

My least favorite aspect of this story was Lucy's worsening psychosis. Her thoughts about the pregnant woman in chapter 5 sickened me.

I'm still reading through chapter 5 part 3. It will honestly be difficult to get through the rest if Lucy continues to deteriorate into a sociopath.

However, I have to say I loved her protective relationship with Albert. That aspect of this story (which I started reading years ago) inspired the primary theme of the story I authored on this site.

Finally, you mentioned in a comment on Consequences:

It reminds me of an idea I'm having fun with in which a group of rather powerful beings actually enjoy a level of pleasure comparable to a narchotic whenever they're nurting a weaker being to the point that if they don't have someone to take care of they go into withdrawl.

If you wrote that, I'd definitely read it! Sounds like a great idea to me.

Summary:

Just finished reading through chapters 1 through 14. Very nice story so far. Good detail. Easy for the reader to empathize with Peter. I'm a bit surprised by how cruel some of the students can be, perhaps that is just me misremembering high school. I do like Peter's sister though (Erica). You've done an excellent job of developing her character. Though clearly annoyed with her duties, she still cares for her brother on some level, beyond just the fear of her mother's wrath.

Author's Response:

Thanks very much for the read/review. I realize I'm embellishing the cruelty of certain characters, though I'd say it's not extreme; high school kids can be pretty devious. I'm glad you like Erica. I'm trying my best to represent the simultaneous antagonism and love of siblings.

I was curious how you'd handle the authorities, considering Mandy would be the prime suspect. Now I know! Still, hopefully they'll find some evidence at her house to implicate her.

Author's Response:

It does seem plausible that Mandy might have slipped up in some way. We'll see soon.

Who would set up a YouTube channel for such shenanigans! :)

Rather than race for the phone, Peter should be focusing on how to talk Mandy into a less abusive 'game'. The girl seems willing to listen to suggestions. Peter's goal at this point should be survival, not escape. The latter will happen naturally once enough time passes (assuming he's still alive).

Author's Response:

What you're suggesting is definitely what Peter's sister would be screaming at him to do if she could. The real question is whether Peter can resist his inclination to take matters into his own hands.

Clearly Mandy has issues -- mental issues. She seeing a psych, taking medication, etc. The only silver lining: these same issues may blind her to the obvious, i.e., her house will be the first one police visit as she's instantly the prime suspect given her prior behavior around Peter.

I have a hunch that Sharon, of all people, will ring Mandy's doorbell before the police. Will she rescue Peter? Well, she'd definitely be a step up from Mandy in terms of safety. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response:

You're right to think so about the disadvantages and small silver lining. The whole situation is a gamble for Peter, if he can play it right.

We may not quite see that happen with Sharon, but I'd also be lying if I said she wouldn't have a good guess about where Peter is at this moment.

I feel, somehow, Sharon and her gang is behind this. Either that, or they'll save him somehow. Either way, Peter's in for a world of pain.

Ironically, i'm kinda hoping we learn a bit more about Mandy. Surely she's not one dimensionally evil. Maybe she's been abused herself. We haven't met her family yet.

Author's Response:

Definitely a fair guess. Without spoiling, Sharon is not NOT involved. And Mandy backstory is indeed finally incoming.

I didn't like the previous chapter (great writing, just not a fan of that gym teacher). Loved this chapter. Of course this would be Jessica's reaction. She's a great character and shows some growth here, no matter how reluctant. Overall, Peter got the best victory he could hope for when dealing the aftermath and his family. As for Erica, she's planning something. I wouldn't put it past her to see vengeance of some kind. Well, perhaps nto vengeance, but something to ensure certain students pick on Peter less.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing. Yeah sections like that one aren't for everyone. Glad you liked this chapter more. I won't spoil, but we'll see Erica get to be a true big sister before the story is over.

Wow - "Or I just took one."

Lisa's clearly more protective of Peter after the latest events, and she has no trouble showing it. It's nice to see her emerge from her shell of timidity and stand up for herself and Peter. Peter's learned to do the same, but of course he'll always need someone to back him up. His inherent weakness makes Lisa grow into a stronger person by necessity, and that's good to see.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading! Peter and Lisa have definitely made one another more courageous

Whew, that was a close one! I too didn't think she'd actually try to kill him...intentionally. Perhaps accidentially...maybe...but not intentionally.

I agree with geeman. Due to this unfortunate event, Peter's mom will never let him return to public school. There's no way his mom won't find out about the event.

It's too bad because he was just starting to fit in with his classmates.

Author's Response:

There was definitely more going on below the surface with Mandy than Peter might've easily perceived. We'll see next chapter just what's going to happen with the future of Peter's schooling

Can someone say restraining order?? The only good thing is that all his friends there will KNOW Mandy took him, and they'll report here asap. But...will it be fast enough to save him from...whatever she has planned?

Author's Response:

Peter's counting on that 'good thing' as well. But he'll need to hope they work fast

It was just a harmless kiss! Whoever was stalking needs to get a life. Seriously. The mean girls just need to leave the little dude alone. Why are they harassing him? I assume because they're jealous or they like him but don't want to admit it.

So what do they think spying and scheming will accomplish? Certainly won't make Peter like them. Hopefully he doesn't have to use any of those self defense moves his sister taught him...which by the way...aren't exactly a great idea. Biting a hand while being held aloft could lead to a loooong fall...

Author's Response:

Hehe. At least one thing you touched on here (won't say which) will be addressed very soon

Why the heck is Sharon hanging out with Mandy? This doesn't bode well for Peter. The two of them together pose quite a threat. Honestly, Mandy makes Sharon look like an angel. Hopefully Peter doesn't end up with an actual broken leg after the show.

Author's Response:

Ordinarily Mandy and Sharon don't quite fit in the same crowd, but exceptions can be made in special circumstances. ;)

Not a fan of this gym 'teacher'. But, surprisingly, I'm starting to like Sharon more. Never thought I'd say that. In spite of her cold attitude, she *does* manage to save Peter from falling a lot. I think there's another side to her. It would be interesting to see more of it.

Author's Response:

Sharon's definitely a much different kind of threat to Peter than any of the other people who want to take advantage of him.

Finally, the long awaited kiss! Also, Lisa is growing in her ability to defend herself. I sense she'll no longer allower herself to be pushed around by the other girls at school. She knows what (or who) she wants and she's going for it!

Nice play on words with the chapter title.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing! We're steadily seeing Lisa growing (hehe) into her own skin.

Ok, first of all, what Stella did was ridiculous. I mean she 'stamped him hard enough to rattle the living room furniture'?? What?? a) How could that NOT kill him...it RATTLED furniture. b) How does a girl decide to become a murderer at the age of 13??

Clearly, this allows us to put checkboxes in the standard giantess foot-related tropes, but it strikes me as unrealistic.

That being said, I'm a gentle giantess fan and the relationship between Lisa and Peter has me hooked. :) I find myself looking forward to the next chapter as I read further. Plus, I really like Peter's sisters. Each has a different way of showing love for him.

In spite of the existance of impossibly-evil girls in this story (seriously, do people like Mandy and Stella exist in real life), I have to say it's becoming one of my favorites on this site. I just wish the conflict were a bit more subtle in some areas.

Overall, incredible story so far. Please keep writing! I look forward to the next chapters.

Author's Response:

Well, the thing to realize about Stella is that she wasn't making an attempt to gravely hurt him. Depending on how her foot landed on the floor, she could've rattled the furniture and still kept Peter from the major impact - like if she led with her heel, for example.

Glad you're liking the story.

Whoa whoa whoa. It DEFINITELY is not Erica. That's just insane. She's not on a 'short list'. If it's Erica, then I read no further.

And I'm sorry but Lisa is also NOT a suspect. She was NEVER a suspect.

It baffles me how you guys can even SUGGEST those names. Shame on you!

It's clearly one of the Sharon trio, probably the quiet one with freckles. I mean what do we know about her anyway? You can't trust people with freckles! ;)

Great chapter. Keep 'em coming!

Author's Response:

Hehe. Again, I can't spoil anything, but I like at least some of your thinking as well. ;)

It's just like Jessica to be jealous of the attention Peter gives to Lisa. Good thing Lisa recognizes it for what it is and knows how to handle it. At some point, Peter's going to have to stop trying to please everyone. He'll have to disappoint Jessica, or at least explain how her overprotectiveness intrudes on his relationship with his girlfriend. Maybe next time they can convene at Lisa's house. I would be interesting to meet her family and they wouldn't have to deal with Jessica's over attentiveness. Great chapter, sir! Looking forward to more!

Author's Response:

Thanks very much. You're right about the crossroads Peter's in; someone's going to be disappointed at some point. And we will definitively be meeting Lisa's family in a future chapter.
