This was really fun.

I love the idea of the mini-movement and greatly enjoyed Serena's transition from the tiny friendly city to the rougher country life. I think you could tell some great stories featuring the mini community of a big city.

The last act, when Serena shrinks to doll size, was sexy and fun but I found myself a little dissapointed to lose out on the more grounded and subtle power dynamics that had been at play.

All fantastic characters, and I love the way their tendencies with Eli while only slightly shrunk portend for how they'll treat him down the road, from his sisters' bossy insistence to Parkwr's mildly predatory affection.

Thanks again for the commentary! I'm surprised a couple of reviewers noted the TV. Premie technology still isn't as 'advanced', due to the lower demand (far fewer premies than humans), and less time the premie phenomenon has existed in general. So what might make a small phone or smart watch for a human, makes a fine TV for a premie. The converting between the technologies is relatively simple due to similar scale...compared with creating something much smaller like a premie smartphone (components and engineering required to produce something viable at that scale would be significantly more challenging).

Holy hell, this is one of the most amazing stories on the site.  Love it.

 

Giant fan of Winter's development as she's become more possessive and protective of Eli.  Her behaviour in the small town watching his tractor work is fantastic.

Yes Winter has taken more of the spotlight perhaps, but when I write, I just let it flow. There may be loose ends here and there and general chaos, but I like it that way. It more closely resembles real life, no neat and tidy bows.

That being said, the other characters aren't forgotten.
