Re the story going to be longer: I'm not sure if it's how the story is written, but it seems it's only me, so nvm; the most rational explanation I can find is the thought of all the many things she wanted to try - but after reading the last chapter... oh well, I guess the fast ending adds to the feeling of helplessness :)

 

About Mommy's Timeout 6, I think I told you already that Judy is the best of all, and since #1 I can't help thinking what his future is going to be like with his girlfriend. And Susan's (from mt2) and the other women's reaction when they find out he's been drinking even more... but who cares? You said you're working on it and I thought it wouldn't happend before a few months at least - nothing else matters.

 

(btw, since I discovered that giantess stories can be long and actually have a plot, my todo list has been growing to 60 or so. The Freshman is one of those stories, so no idea about it)

Thanks for the review man. I see what you mean with the length; it probably could've gone on, but I wanted to keep things as simple and focused on the main concept as possible. Good story (I'm keeping the review veeeeery short, because 1. the story is still short, and 2. I'm chronically undecided, so answeing your poll was a big deal for me [my session ended while I was writing -- again :])

 

About your poll: difficult question. I've been pestering you to write MT5 even commenting other stories, but actually having to choose...

I asked /dev/random, and it replied "short stories", so I'll vote for that.

Part of me disagrees - my choice would have been either mt6 or finish your old stories, based on the selfish reason that there are many excellent short stories here, but long stories which are consistently good are (obviously) much less common, and you'e one of the very few who's actually able to write them.

That being said, if you have some ideas on your mind (or you just need a break), it would be best to just write them down.

 

To sum it up: follow whatever idea you find yourself spending a lot of time thinking about.

When in doubt, short stories, just because /dev/random says so. And because exploring new possibilities can't hurt, and may give you nice ideas.

But whatever you do, don't forget you sort of promised Julia wouldn't take centuries ;p

Thanks for commenting/replying to the casual poll. Part of why I said short stories and the longer ones is because I use those as little breathers while I try to will myself into getting further in Julia. The problem there is that I've got Julia's conclusion mapped pretty clearly in my head, but the fact that it's already so long with multiple threads to juggle makes it more complicated. My main goal on that one now is to at least finish up Act 3, which is drawing close.

Seriously tough, my only criticism is how short it is - it seems a bit weird to waste such a good idea to write some five chapters, especially because... I can't exactly explain why, but imho there's something in the way it's written that really makes it look like it's going to be long.

Honestly, I probably could've made this longer, but didn't want the story to overstay its welcome, given how odd the concept is. I may bring it back down the road though, since I've enjoyed writing it. I'm curious what's made the story feel like it'll be longer.

On the joules thing, in my defense: 1) I was writing late at night and it sounded correct at the time, and 2) My high school physics teacher disliked me, and maybe in some roundabout way this is my revenge. Yeah, we'll go with that.

Just a tiny thing in the grand "more work for squashed123" tradition - whatever you're doing to get the html is screwing up the images, they render as local links like file:///C:/Users/Jelte/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image002.jpg (and I don't have msoffice installed, so don't ask me how to fix that)


As a wild guess, if you can view the images ok on your computer, you should have some way to say that you want to save the page as a single file, the exact wording depends on you browser, and that should include images - or you can try extensions like singlefile, but honestly I would just ask someone here how they added pictures to their story.

Great, great, great! Even if, gIven how good you are at keeping a story going with the same characters for hundreds of pages, I think changing characters every two chapters makes it too easy ;)

 

For some reason I totally love when the punishment is (at least formally) "reasonable", "for their own sake" - and even more the few cases where the tinies actually have some way out, at least in theory.

 

I'd write more, but I think I'll go on reading instead...

I avoided reading comments until midstory after I noticed that someone was commenting on the surprising finale (in the first chapter!), so no problem... except that, err, this Julia Mack, and that Jack A., they remind me of something (mostly words like "Goddess" and "worship").

 

Many of us congratulated you about this story - I've postponed reading Dilbertaco's comeback to read it. 'Nuff said

Quoting Dr House, "men are pigs" - no matter how much I try I can't stop thinking that there's someone, somewhere, who got in trouble when it was discovered that he didn't consiider his punishment, well, punishment (the day I finally put the details down I'll probably request a custom video).

 

The only thing I don't understand is, if it worked so well for Ms Beakman, why don't they use the PRMD at Techilogic as well... I bet TC would be much more productive, and I'm 100% sure he would receive fewer complaints.

 

Oh, by the way: the actual content fell into your hands somehow, I hope that doesn't imply a nyrhing about how the story ends ;)

They actually do use the PMRD in certain departments of Techilogic, and the problem is that the very people complaining to Howard are the ones who would probably have the ability to use it as a punishment if desired.  I won't spoil the ending, though if you read far enough down in the reviews, you would probably figure it out...
