Terrific installment.  Above all, I really enjoy the psychological elements in this series.  I was actually just thinking the other day that Jack's gotta be getting pretty screwed up mentally by this point.  Glad to see he is.

Great job.  You delved into the psychology of your characters brilliantly, and your writing is clearly professional-grade. I've said it before, and I mean it: I hope you find a writing career in your future, if you haven't already. Not necessarily erotic fiction, but whatever you choose. I'd read it. 

On a side note, it would've been great if Julia just ended up ruling the universe.

Charlie seems suspiciously cool, but I read him to be one of those "voice of the author" characters.  I enjoy how he tries to calm Jack down by explaining Jack's gone where no man's gone before... er... in those proportions, of course.  The guy's got a good head on his shoulders.
