Save for the end that chapter really reminded me of the short fight between Mary and Hancock in the Movie Hancock.

I've a question though. I Christi now in the boot of the unknown Super-Woman as well?

Author's Response:

Hancock! :)
I definitely did not had that movie in mind while writing this, but now that you mention it...
What made you think that Christi is in her boot? This is a random city where the two girls are fighting, not their hometown.
But no, Christi is not in her boot. She's probably still having fun with the other shrunken cities in the meantime :)

"Dark clouds packed together and low rumbles became more intense gradually.in the sky when two insanely powerful females were about to clash with eacht other."

"But that wasn't Siren's desire, though."

The end was a little more nebulous than I thought but given it was about absolute universal powers it may be par for the course.

Author's Response:

Hey thx for pointing out the typos!

I have no idea how those slipped through the grammarly check.

And thanks for following the story to the end. Hope it was entertaining for the readers.

I completely forgot that this story existed, albeit I quite like it.

It's still enjoyable enough to read six chapters after one another at once.

I didn't expect so much flip-flopping as far as power goes, but it's interesting to see the powers used for good for a change. (If Lizzy, Emily and Christi were equal in power they would have the typical archetype relationship Supervillian "the Demon" Lizzy, Superheroine "Infinity Girl" Emily and Christi is the character who chooses and changes allegiances as she feels like and changes the outcome due to the immense scale-tipping she brings to the table. Granted, that's obviously not the case.

(I do NOT want an answer whether that's true or not-)

I have the suspicion that Siren is Lizzy's Future Self by now.

Author's Response:

Hey! Thanks for still liking this story!

And don't worry, I won't spill a thing ;)

"[...]she was the only one who stood between Lizzy and total domination over the entire planet. Nothing could oppose her" - Well that ain't true. Granted, Christi doesn't know that. One would think a City-spanning Battle wouldn't go unnoticed but if Siren wants to be unnoticed she probably instantly is the most forgettable person ever.

I didn't expect Siren to show up and stop the "Battle". But maybe it wasn't all that interesting to watch after Emily had been utterly bested like that. "Infinity Girl" surprised me though. Wasn't she decidedly NOT the Power-hungry Type?

I wonder whether Christi would raise to supreme deity status if the other three ended up destroying each other or would the Amulet end up giving its power to another girl yet again? (It seems like the amulet cannot be used by men for some reason. Why that might be... :P )

It is still very enjoyable how you write these superpower fights. Even if a flurry of punches and kicks with literally earth-splitting force behind them isn't all that creative. Granted, it probably gets the job done more often than not.

Author's Response:

Christi was not aware of the existence of Siren at that moment. So yeah, it was logical for Christi to assume that both Emily and Lizzy were the most powerful beings on the planet at that moment.

And power corrupts anyone, even someone like Emily. So it was not hard for her to come up with a name like that.
Yup, no male can drain power from the amulet. You know why?... I have absolutely no idea.
I never bothered to write more specifically about the properties of the amulet.
To be honest, I was already done with this story when I finished chapter 8.
But for some reason this story stayed quite popular on my patreon page. People kept asking for more chapters. So more chapters I wrote, even though my heart was not in it anymore.
But the end is nearing. Only a few more chapters before the final chapter.

Thx for your extensive review and for liking this story, and thx for the compliment about the fights 😉

Wouldn't it be more natural to compare Siren's Combative Prowess with a "skilled MMA Fighter" instead of going for a specific brand?

That may just be me as I had to google UFC first though.

Interesting that Siren acts like Lizzy's the focal point of some prophecy as that normally includes a savior against something you cannot handle. What could Siren be up against that she just isn't able to beat? The Q-Continuum perhaps?

Given her threat Lizzy needs to get way stronger and that fast.

Either that or unlock a some (fairly potent) kind of time stretching.

Author's Response:

Thx for the review!

Actually, I find a common term like 'mma fighter' a bit boring to write.

I do know what you mean, though. Using a term like that makes it more

Reader-friendly as most readers know what an mma fighter is.

I always try to find a good balance between readability and the terms I use to describe something or someone as good as possible. To compare Siren with a skilled mma fighter gave me the feeling I was selling her short. I wanted to compare her with the best of the best. And that's where ufc comes in.

As for the story; there is only one thing that Siren cannot beat, but that will be reveiled later on in the story.

Power has shifted dramatically in the Pokémon league. As all the regional champion's gather to discuss new rules and policies, the all-female league led by the Sinnoh champion herself, Cynthia, vote on a brand-new law to be implemented. One that will give the women of the world a much better standing in society as a whole.

t's finally back! I will give you a perfect rating for that alone. (Even if not all of the chapter's contents were my thing.) You have a typo in the chapter's tags though unless the last one actually means to say "Breat Milk", but if so i want to know what that means.

I wonder what happened to Faba - as he used to tinker with a machine that could both shrink and grow male and females alike...

I bet he had a ... tragic accident.

"She always wondered what happened to her Psychic specialist co-worker, disappearing after meeting with the President alone, but Lusamine never elaborated more than a Misdreavus smile." - Knew it!

"He hadn’t gotten that warning, just trapped in her or another girl’s shoes, sat and farted on, or shoved up one of their filthy backdoors." That seems like plenty of warnings for Charlie, but it seems like it wasn't properly communicated as such. Also you had a typo in this sentence that I marked.

"She never had any children of her own, the closest before being Gladion and Lillie." Come to think of it. What happened to Gladion? Is he the most precious son of Lusamine? Or a possession of Lillie? Or maybe he fell into the hands of Plumeria?

So use the app to apply abilities/attacks onto everyone including the owning girls already became commonplace? Looks like our Unovan Scientist made her findings way more public than it seemed to.

Imagine having No Guard applied to you... >.>

Author's Response:

Ahaha... haha... Wh-What typo... *sweat intensifies*

Yes, it was nice to come back to this setting, there's just so much potential!

I'm sure Faba is safe(ish) wherever he ended up and Charlie wasn't the smartest.  But such are the fates of men in this new Pokémon world order, win or lose you're better off just hiding... unless you're Tate.

Though in all seriousness, most named male Trainers are 'missing' from the public eye.  Maybe in another chapter later on some of their fates will be revealed, but until then you're free to imagine whatever kind of situation you'd like them to be in lol

The knowledge of applying and using moves and abilities in and of itself was discovered fairly quickly, what the scientist was researching was if there were any differences if shrunken Trainers used them since not everyone is willing to use Self-Destruct and the likes on their new toys/meals.  Girls just have to use caution experimenting on themselves, wouldn't want to burn, freeze, poison or any of the many other horrible things one could do to themselves, so much just stick to basics :)

No Gaurd, how about Wonder Guard!  Become invincible... to most things.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the story, thanks for the review! (and pointing out those typos)

It's back! A new chapter in this is rare, but that makes me even happier if I come across it. I will now read it.

This chapter was very creative.

The idea of turning the victims into Grass Types, force them to use ingrain and then pee (and rarely spit) on them as means of both humilation and nutrition at once never even occured to me. Albeit thinking of the all-female staffed Celadon Gym should be obvious.

Maybe they are unwanted, but I have two ideas for man-centric chapters.

- A popular male trainer (Red, Gold, Steven Stone, somebody like that, who is widely renowned for his battle prowess) that just wouldn't loose and Cynthia plotting against him. Can't have a powerful man being popular with not only Males but Females alike. How unnatural.

- An androgynous Ace Trainer who had a terrible accident when traveling together with his (sursprisingly still loving and caring) twin sister which tragically left her dead. As he knew she would still try to protect him with all she could he did honor her wish to protect her (and may it jst be minutes) younger brother - by assuming her identity (as being female is safer for sure now) and claiming the unidentifiable deformed boulder-crushed body used to be the twin brother. So he, in his new life as a female Ace Trainer (preferable the Gen V version, gotta love this absurd braids), lives in constant fear of being found out. As he would've her PokéGear and the same gene composition he could (and probably would) engage in the whole shrinking male trainers (if it would just be for appearances) and probably feel very guilty whenever doing it. That would offer a very unique viewpoint. One could say it's like a "double agent role". Even if there is no counter agency to be aligned with.

(You really didn't like NRawkGTS' idea of an "underground resistance", didn't you?)

Without a specified storyline in mind: I still miss May and Gloria from the chapter selection.

(For Gloria Skelda Shield from the Manga may be a more interesting approach as the constantly shouting (she seems to be half-deaf) very curious about how any things (both machines and creatures) work, mechanic would probably offer a way more interesting chapter than the "angry scottish girl" Persona that the Internet applied to Gloria.

I imagine "WWWGloria" would merely beat somebody, spout a myriad of barely intelligible insults and immediately stomp her victim. Fitting for the character, but a very uninteresting read.)

First up: I am really glad this story is back, I will give you a perfect rating for that alone, but there is also some immediate critisism before I started reading. The text is very small. Especially as it wasn't the case in the previous chapters that isn't great. Sure, I just zoomed it bigger, but given how this site reacts to zooming that wasn't ideal either.

"That, and how hot he looked like this." Don't praise yourself, Carl. Also I don't think at "he" was meant in the first place here. ;)

[...]"but like everyone now, she was impossibly huge to him."

That comment reminded Carl of his earlier thought[...]

[...],she teased as Rachel placed each finger beside him, which showed that he was taller shorter than all but her ring finger.

I am sorry in case you don't like me pointing out mistakes - it's a reviewing quirk of me - and not meant in an insultive matter. (A few dasys ago someone got angry hence I am pointing it out here.

How you are developing the characters seems natural but a bit too smooth at this point, the three act like they knew each other for years which obviously isn't the case.

I just discovered this story and read through all three chapters nearly without pausing.

All three had a very unique part of it.

That Alian was actually able to barely beat (though not kill) the slimegirl of the first chapter was a very rare occurence as we frankly come here to see the tinies perish hopelessly. A nice change of pace every once in a while.

The second chapter with a at baseline gentle, but absolutely uncaring giantess as she was solely interested in Alain's Cargo was also one of a kind. At least paired with a "homeran" siren as if you want an avian monsterwoman to appear most people tend to choose a Harpy nowadays. The idea that they drilled themselves to safety was a first as well as far as my story recollections go.

The third chapter was an absolute homerun to me as I love Multisize scenarios.

Interesting decision that Rona was tiny due to her "mousy" heritage, but Lysa was "unaffected" albeit Lynxes are smaller than humans, one would think she would be around the average lynx size of 110cm, but maybe she's just exceptionally tall for her kind. Given her personality she probably wouldn't care in the slightest.

I know the story is probably long dead but I would've liked to see Alain to get into a sort of bar fight with a fairy or a female dwarf and end up shrunken to be about her size and then "properly" brawl with her. Given Rona's comment about her six year old niece and Alain's status it would likely not go well for him unless Gale intervened. Granted, she would most likely not allowed to enter any bar in the first place, unless it's a buildingside counter and even then it's unlikely.

"Her proposal made sense in her head,[...]"

I learned the words "pliant" & "cowed" from this.

It got rare that I get vocables this way, but it happens every once in a while.

I really have to commend you on the Vore Scene focusing on the act of swallowing itself is very rare. Granted, if you have no superpowered throat muscles it's probably not that interesting.

Concerning their talk beneath the overpass: So Thalia's horror at the beginning of the chapter wasn't about the caused problems at all. It was that she would not be the one exerting the power.

My favorite part was suprisingly Thalia dismantling the Cops while being normal-sized - that drove the power home more thoroughly.

I came across a weird "coindicence" concerning the title of the story. There is another "Ascending" on your author page. Granted, that one was finished in 2010, so the risk of confusion is probably low.

Summary:

A hacker seizes control of society's shared virtual paradise for herself.

Lots of cruelty and reality-manipulation in this somewhat experimental story. I had the idea for this story for quite some time. However, I wanted to wait till I felt confident enough in my writing skill to do the idea justice. Of course, that moment never came, but I wrote it anyways. I hope it's enjoyed nonetheless! Her massive naked body crashed to the ground "to lay on her front with legs kicking in the air behind her."

This sentence had quite the impact on me. As that's the exact posture I had when reading it. Granted, with a mattress beneath me and I require male pronouns, but still very close.

Also I love giantesses tormenting tinies with their natural gas, both released through the front and back door of their gastric tract. ^^

I am surprised that Delta is content with just the strike team as physical slaves though. One would think she would get at least a hundred people from the neighborhood to tend to her on principle.

Reviewer: Avid Reader Signed

" Long ago people used to roast bugs called ‘ants’ under magnifying glasses. "

So there aren't any ants anymore(in the real world or at least the part that wasn't "misstepped" out of existence, not in paradise of course)? That's kinda hard to believe.

So it took Delta four years to realize that her omnipotence is on lend time. I wouldn't have factored in that the Sun will eventually roast earth (the latest as soon as our lovely star becomes a Red Giant), but would've thought a multitude of hardware-level failures in the Computer Farms running Paradise would be the undoing of Delta's Reign.

Oh. I guess I mistunderstood the story chapters ago. I thought Delta already HAD full and all-access to the Computer Farms as she redirected any transportation ressources to Paradise.

Whenever the great misstep is mentioned I wonder how the foreign people that just happened to be in the USA as it happened felt - and how they reacted. It probably wasn't favorable.

Delta will go back to a body neglected for four years? Given my own experience with the lack of moving on your own - due to a rather severe leg injury - it probably will be an uphill battle to even move.

Author's Response:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Delta didn't have full access to all the Computer Farm resources at that time. However, since the farms are something of a distributed computing system, Paradise could take free computational resources to meet its needs. Since everyone was forcibly pulled into Paradise, there was no need to run the transportation systems. Those resources freed up and were directed to Paradise to meet the simulation's demands.

At the point in the story you mention, Delta's body was only immobile for hours, not years in the real world. This is due to how time dilation in Paradise worked. Years passed in Paradise was only hours passed out in the real world then.

I hope that makes sense!

" Paradise works, the way most everything program in our world works is to dynamically utilize storage and processing power from the USH computer farms built on the graveyards of the ‘old nations’. "

I felt like asking whether all of the raveged "old world" was just left behind to decay in radioactivity (which would be a massive waste) or if the USH was doing some repopulation projects or whatever.

Good thing that I waited with this question.

“How’s this for a Great Misstep?~” she said, chuckling." In hindsight it's kinda obvious that Delta would make that joke, yet I didn't thought of it before at all.

Maybe I should withhold this question just as much as the one answered in my first quote of this chapter but still: "Isn't the whole time-dilation thing even necessary at this point? With everyone stuck in Paradise anyway does Delta win anything with it?

Author's Response:

Oh thank you, there was a typo in that quote I now fixed in the story.

I think those questions may be answered as you read further in the story. I don't mind you asking them, but I wouldn't want to spoil anything before you're done, of course!

"Two more years had passed."

"Real" years or years within paradise? The latter is way worse after all.

I wonder if there are at this point people who don't even care anymore.

So their "Escape" from Delta isn't Insanity, but Apathy.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the question. Years within Paradise was what was meant there.

I could say: "I knew it!" But that wouldn't be accurate. First, I also didn't catch the hints as the Glasses of the therapist or the fact that Delta reads all minds casually all the time or the fact that she was uploaded into every (active) handclip in existence. The latter one I completely forgot unlike the othre two which I could've catched.

But I just knew right away that Frank's Freedom had to be fake. A BETA Shut-down button? That Delta overlooked when rewriting Paradise's Code? Way too convenient. Besides it (if it existed at all) had most likely have been some kind of Bullshit Series of Actions that nobody could figure out by themselves. (The Clocktime Reset Function of Pokémon Crystal is the first thing that comes to my mind there.)

I however didn't expect the resistance members to be fakes though. I thought the cruel joke was that Delta put together rebellious minds to break them even harder with an extra bit of gruesomeness. Sure, the resistance members in the fake freedom breakdown were obvious fakes but I didn't surmise they were before. It also surprised me that Delta played the "You are the Hero!"-Act to everyone. I thought Frank was another "sorta special slave" like Bruce had been. I geuss Delta is above giving individual people special attention by now.

Unless it's herself of course.

Author's Response:

Thank you for sharing what helped you figure it out and what didn't with regards to the "twist" here. I was curious what style of "clues" would tip people off more from a reader's perspective: noting the mechanics of her power/the-world, or the "contrived"/trope-y nature of the "shutdown" scenario itself.

Part of the reason the resistance members themselves were fake was for Delta to really sink in the level of hold she had on people's minds at that point. Another reason is that, well, inside the story's world not everyone might even have 2 work buddies. Some people in the story's world made digital items in Paradise, which could perhaps be a relatively solo job. Others just might not be the type to make friends at work. Who knows?

You are correct in that Delta didn't seem to want to spend too much attention on any person in particular. In that case, having a somewhat common "mold" for her "scenarios" helped with that.

Anyways I'm happy you enjoying the story thus far!

Jokes aside, interesting set of chapters, except Delta's cruelty, it was quite the departure from the story so far, (granted we had the Make/Break-Landia chapters) but if you've the luxury of an omnipotent main character you can do anything you want of course.

With just minimal rework this three chapters could work as a standalone story called "Fall and Die,Guys", which proves that you did the concept well.

I'm looking forward to more of Delta's Actions which will probably spin out of control quickly, someone as power-hungry as she won't stay in Bruce's Copy of the Minecraft Ripoff some crafty programmers whipped up after the original was "misstepped" out of existence for too long...

If I had godmode all-access to Paradise I would edit Delta's Name to "OZ_LoveMachine". (If you have no idea what that means google "Summer Wars Antagonist" and you will see why.)
